Stunning Moe Bridges Slip Shade Chandelier GOTTA SEE IT!!
This fine chandelier is from the 1930's. Slips 5 glass shades. Completely rewired with cloth wire and ready to use. measurements are 35 3/4" total height and 14 1/2" diameter. There is some tiny flea bites along the top edges of a few of the shades. I have a second chandelier with a old silver finish also 5 shades. I would like to take the frame apart to insure safe delivery.

3 Antique Art Deco Sconces-Slip Shade-Prairie School Mission Arts Crafts Fixture
Available here is a set of 3 antique sconces. These sconces feature wonderful slip shades that are reminiscent of the prairie school of design. They are an opaque glass with orange accent lines. The shades are in good condition. No chips or cracks. The metal fixtures are cast aluminum. The sockets and rotary switches have been replaced. There are no issues with the fixtures. The sconces measure approximately 15" tall and 4" wide. With the shades, the widest part is about 6" They extend approximately 6-1/2" from the wall. I'm unsure of who manufactured these. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Oversized box will be used for shipping to ensure the sconces arrive safely. I do accept offers and will consider any given.

Vintage Frosted Salmon Scallop Shell Slip Shade. The outside is 2" and the inside is 1 3/4" fitting. It has a scalloped edge at the bottom with a seashell ribbed design that looks like a clam. It stands 3 1/2" off the ground. And is 7 1/4" long, just over 5" wide. No chips or cracks. There are a few spots where the frost has been scuffed. Its still frosted. But lighter or less than the rest of the shade. You can see air bubbles and a few imperfections from when it was taken out of the mold. Interesting artwork in this ad by Charlotte Joan Sternberg. The TEXTRON ad is titled"Moonlight and Shadow" in Textron's Dark-Light Slip. Art in ad covers about three quarters of the page. And has an almost"fantasy" look. The edges of the ad page were trimmed to remove roughness. Page is an original page from the March 15. 1948 issue of LIFE magazine. On the reverse side of this ad is a full page ad for Clicquot Club ginger ale and sparkling water. Ad page measures 9 7/8" x 13 1/2" Page is in overall good condition. This art deco slip shade chandelier is in great condition. It could use a good home. The chandelier I believe to be cast iron. I don't know much about it because I was not able to find any markings. I know slip shade chandeliers are very collectable. One of the slip shades has a small hairline crack that's not noticeable. Take a look and see what you think. Its a beautiful lamp that needs a little tender care. It could use a new coat of paint and a good cleaning. There is nothing missing from the chandelier. Base to Art Deco 6-Light Slip-shade Chandelier, Batwing, un-Markel
This is the base to an aluminium chandelier frame WITHOUT the glass slip-shades. Vertical shaft, or a chain and canopy. It was made in the early to mid 1930s by the Midwest Manufacturing Company of Kansas City. For some inexplicable reason, over the past couple years, ebay vendors have erroneously attributed Midwest products to another company called Markel, and since some buyers may be using Markel as a search term I am dubbing mine to be an"un-Markel" This base is missing the vertical shaft. An example of which is shown in the next-to-last photograph. When the base gets a shaft, the complete intact frame will measure 18.5 inches tall excluding any chain and canopy. The base of the chandelier is 13" wide. But will be about 19" wide when the shades are installed. In addition to needing a vertical shaft, this base needs ... moreto be rewired with new bulb sockets, needs a chain and a canopy to fit onto the ceiling, and needs five slip shades plus a bottom shade. Original slip shades can sometimes be purchased on ebay for about $75 each or so. Or Vintage Lighting and Fans in Portland sells reproduction shades for about $150 each. Some other ebay vendors sell reproduction slip shades that are too dark to be usable, so go to Vintage because they are supposedly the best reproductions around. Solely for informational purposes. Several of the photos show a complete restoration with slip shades. Please understand that NO SLIP SHADES ARE INCLUDED in this auction. That's right, no glass; just the metal parts. I once put up an ad for a frame with 24% of the verbiage emphasizing that no glass was included, yet somebody still managed to buy the item and then wanted to return it because he said that he did not understand that no slip shades were being offered. So remember, only the frame is being sold here. The original screws are included. However. Two screws are rusted in place and will have to be drilled out, possibly with a tap for re-threading. Vintage Czech Glass Beaded Lamp Shade Exc condition The lamp shade for sale was given to me by my mom over 40 years ago as she tried to clean out her basement. It has been sitting unused in a drawer all that time! It is so pretty that it should be on display so it's time to find a new home for it. The shade measures overall about 8-1/2" The beading at its longest if about 5-3/4" and the diameter of the shade is about 4-1/2" The beads on the shade part are all intact. The fringe beads seem to be in very good condition except for two cracked long pink beads, one strand is missing a few beads as well as the large amber one at the bottom. I think these slip shades are from the 1920-30 era. Last 3 photos show chips. One of the shades has a larger chip on the bottom part(photo 10) that is 3/4 inch long. Moe Bridges Art Deco Slip Shade 5 Arm Chandelier
Up for auction is a Moe Bridges Art Deco 5 arm slip shade chandelier. Based on the information I have been able to find. I suspect this fixture is from the 20's or 30's. There is a number stamped on the canopy that appears to read 34188 A. The canopy is also stamped Moe Bridges. The piece that holds the canopy in place is missing. The fixture is in good condition with no cracks or damage to the metal. This auction includes(3) amber shades, each of which is in good condition. There appears to be a tiny bit of discoloration at the tips of the shades where they meet the metal frame. One shade also has about a 1/2" faint imperfection or scratch in the glass(not in the finish) They are dirty and dusty and I have not cleaned them. There seem to be plenty of 4-light and 5-light fixtures available on eBay. But rarely the 3-light. The chandelier offered in this listing has its original finish, however, you can see in our posted photos that it is very dirty. It will be beautiful after it is cleaned and you can see the gorgeous color highlights. The chandelier has its original porcelain based sockets and remnants of cloth wiring. It will need to be updated and rewired. With the shades in place, the fixture measures approximately 26 inches in length and 14 inches wide. For your consideration we are offering this outstanding set of heavy glass slip shade outdoor wall sconces circa early 1900s. Each light measures in at an approximate 7"H x 5"A x 4"D. Condition and item specifics are as follows: Both fixture were recently taken down and were in working order. The sockets and wiring appear to have been replaced at some point and look to be in good condition. I do always recommend having a lighting professional go over all vintage lighting prior to installation. 1930's 2 Piece Pendant Slip Shade Art Deco Hanging Light Chandelier VTG Glass
For sale a single 1930's art deco. Bell shaped, milk glass two piece shade for a pendant light. It's in great original condition. One small spot of black residue can be found on the bottom. This will come off with a proper cleaning. Some very small chips can be found on the rim of the slip in clear center. The top and base appear to be hand ground with a few rough patches on the rims. I believe the shade original came out of a commercial factory or school restroom. Measurements 5-5/8" T X 6-7/8"W overall. The smallest opening is 2-3/16" outside) diameter.
