For your collecting and bidding consideration we offer an Awesome Pair Of Syroco Wood Ornamental Stylized Large Gold Wall Sconces. Circa 1950's. Syroco Wood or the SYRacuse Ornamental COmpany was founded in the 1890's by an Austrian woodcarver named Adolph Holstein. Originally they made ornamental carvings for coffins and furniture as well as the interiors of fashionable homes. Including the New Your Governor's Mansion in Albany, New York. As business and demand increased, they developed a molding technique where they could create perfect replicas of their original carvings with a mixture of wood flour, waxes and casting resin, including wood grain for an inexpensive, but beautiful piece.The 1940's saw them making novelty items like corkscrews and other barware that helped them survive into the 1950's. At this time they ... moreadded stylized mirrors, wall sconces and decorations as their focus. After this time, they made their molds out of plastic. Many changes in ownership and the fire in the 1990's put them out of business finally in 2007. This is for a pair of mirrored wall sconces which were handcrafted by JP Coppersmith in Massachusetts. They have been in our bathroom for about 15 years and have held amazingly well. They have a slight bit of rust around the crimped edges of the piecrust-like holder(see photo) and along the top edges. However, it all adds to the patina and overall antique look. This clock is 16" x 18" and has 2 sconces that"attach" with chains and hold fake white candles(or you could use some real ones or globes. The homco ones fit it) It runs on 1-C battery that will not be included. It is made of the hard plastic typical of the late 60s in home décor and has Burwood Prod. Co. U. S. A. 4549 embossed on the back. The clock face features Roman numerals, an hour and minute hand and it says"New Haven" at the top and"Made in USA" on the bottom, The color is gold. Vintage Welby Mid Century Modern Diamond Clock w/Matching Candle Sconces
This is a nice retro set and is in good vintage condition. The clock measures 27” high x 14½” wide and add 3” for the ring hanger. These are made out of 3/8” thick plywood with a nice veneer of either cherry or mahogany. The clock has a new battery run motor and new hands as the original were shot. The clock face is 7½” It is a steel plate on top of a brass plate. There are a few scratches in the metal. Which aren’t too noticeable when hanging on the wall. There are 2 small pieces of veneer that have chipped off…1 on the left point and 1 on the bottom point; please see the pictures. The clock will hang by the ring(which I removed and put it in the wrap around the clock for easier shipping) The motor has a hanger but it sits in too far. You may be able to bend this out. The sconces are 17 ¼” high x 8” wide. The candle opening ... moreis ¾” across. These have saw-tooth hangers on the backs. The wood is a reddish brown trimmed in black and black in the routed grooves.

Antique Brass Victorian Sconces Gaslight Electric Combo Converted Restored Rare Hello Everyone. This listing is for a pair(2) of Antique Victorian Brass Wall Sconces. These sconces are very special in that originally they were a combination of gaslight and electric. That's a very rare combo for the time. This pair is patent dated June 13th 1899. By Bryant. Let me explain a little more about exactly what you're looking at. The upper light was originally gas. The gas burners on these were removed but I'm going to include a picture of what they did look like as I have exactly 2. That will be the last picture. I installed a no switch antique socket and drilled out the gas lines to accomodate a modern 18 gauge lamp cord. The upper sockets have a little bit more patina than the lower ones. Still a very close match. These lights are ... moreno longer useable with gas. The lower socket which was always electric. Has also been rewired with modern 18 gauge lamp cord. The lower socket is Bryant. The upper is Hubbel. These sconces are over 100 years old and have fantastic patina. I've only photographed one sconce for this listing. The other is a perfect match with equal patina. If not in exactly the same places. I'm offering a choice of shades with these. The first choice is the traditional clear with stars. The other choise is frosted with no decorations. Both are pictured. Your choice. The mounting cover is modern. Close match on the finish. Also included is all required mounting hardware. You will need one of those stubby short screw drivers for installation. Not included. 2 Edison style fillament bulbs will be included. Measurements. The sconces are 13 inches tall. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. 2 Vtg Mid Century Reverse Paint Slip Shade Bathroom Wall Sconces Light Fixtures
You are buying a great pair of Mid Century Slip Shade wall Lights. They are made by the Homart company. They are each 10 inches tall by 5 inches wide. When mounted they are 4 inches from the wall to the outside of the glass. The brass wall plate has been painted pink and they did get dome paint on the outside of the shade(not inside on paint) There is a couple of scratches on the reverse painted shade. Pair of Hollywood Regency Mirrored Wall Sconces. I'm calling this unusual pair of wall sconces“sceptres” because they look similar to the magnificent staffs used by kings and queens of great importance! With a decidedly French flair. Likely circa 50-60s, these 32" long, heavy composite/wooden electrified sceptres are antiqued in silver gilt trim. Each side is inset with tiny antiqued mirrors with balls and filigree crosses reminescent of the Greek and Roman eras. Delicate crème-colored fluted linen lamp shades custom-fit each sceptre. One of the shades has a tiny bit of rust on the inside, but this is invisible on the outside. Also, one of the furled leaves at the very bottom of one has a hairline crack. Other than these two minor imperfections, both sconces have been well cared for through the years and are in absolute pristine ... morecondition for their age. Beautiful pair of art deco electric wall sconces. 4.5" at widest point x 9" not including the bulb. They are in very good age appropriate condition with very little paint loss. The colors are gold red green and copper and are not repainted. They look better in person. They are a matched pair except for the switch knobs one is plastic the switch has been changed some time ago. The original is brass. The socket covers have lost some of the drip effect. That goes to the back) It would be better to rewire. One has cloth wiring yet. The bulbs go with them(Still work)new ones similar can still be purchased. Up for auction is a fabulous pair of vintage. Reverse painted glass lamps. These are wall hanging lamps, and are made of a buff metal and the reverse painted glass. They depict two"fancy" women. I can't decide if they are Southern Belles, or a pair of French Provencial ladies. The lamps measure 12.25" x 14.5" x 2.75" The images measure approximately 8"x 10" These are three way lamps. They light at the top, the bottom, and the top and bottom. They take a 40W tubular bulb. I have put working bulbs in the lamp, and will ship them with the lamps. So Rare to find pretty ones like this in a PAIR.everyone wants a PAIR! Measures; Each extends from the wall about 14 1/2"are about 9 1/2" top to bottom(with shades in place)the round back-plate is about 4" in diameter. They have a lovely old original darkened patina on them(with some golden undertones peeking through)many people find the old age-darkened patinas especially desirable. Although they could be shined if you prefer a more golden appearance. There are some minor paint flecks-mostly on the back-plate. I have not tried to remove the paint flecks ... moreso that I do not disturb the original patina. In mostly good condition: there are some minor things to report: each shade holder is missing 1 of 3 screws(but 2 screws work fine to hold the shades in place) Each sconce has a hairline separation where the sculpted foliage separates from the sconce(but they are so tight. That the hairline separations are virtually invisible- it does it affect the function) One of the brass shade holders is improvised into a shape which is"out of round" In order to"center" the light bulb(somewhat) within the shade better on that particular one. There is a barely noticeable split to one of the shade holder rings(which does not affect function) One of the sconces is very slightly longer than the other. As there is a small nipple attachment on one(where it meets the socket) which is not present on the other one.this would never be noticed when placed a distance from each other in a room)you can compare them on the photo showing them facing each other. Vintage Danish Modern Caravelle Wall Clock & Sconces Set Eames Starburst Era
You are bidding on a BEAUTIFUL and RARE wall clock with matching candle holders by CARAVELLE. Clock and sconces are constructed of Faux woodgrain panels galore along with brass-tone trim. The clock is mounted on a durable black Masonite rectangular panel which makes it appear to"float" off the wall by a few centimeters. Set is in super excellent condition with only miniscule signs of wear(mostly on the edges of the black Masonite panel which can be easily touched up with a black Sharpie or small brush.so minor they do not even appear in the photos. Clock face is brilliant and virtually unscathed. Candle holders are equally as nice with bright brass-tone hardware with no issues. The clock has never been modified. Antique 1920's Lovely Pair of Edwardian Wall Sconces (ANT-300)
Lovely pair of Circa 1920 wall sconces. Original antique sconces with original Art Glass antique shades. These sconces have a lovely Edwardian pewter look and a great design that is so typical of the Edwardian style. The original antique shades are also so very nice. They are an ivory color with clear applied art glass touches to each side. Tall shades and the design on the art glass shades seems to match the shapes found in the metal backplate. A nice combination indeed. The metal. Of the backplates, is cast metal with a lovely pewter finish. Ready to go.nothing needs to be done except add the light bulbs of your choice. We would recommend our LED candelabrum bulbs, 35C-E26 if you wish ambient light rather than full room power. The ambiance of these bulbs is warm and they draw so little electricity(1.6 watts) that we have known folks that ... moreleave them on 24/7. The bulbs do have an expected life of 25,000- 30,000 hours. However.if a stronger light is desired.we suggest a tubular S-10 bulb which is the same kind of tubular bulb often used in desk lamps. It gives a balanced light for this longer shade. These sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the rotary switches. Made by Leviton in the 20’s.and were still made up to ONE year ago. So these switches, by Leviton are becoming even more antique as we note this. Measurements: The overall sconce height is 11 1/2” The maximum width(shade) is 4 1/2” It will project into the room.
