This fantastic sculpture is 27x12x4" and quite heavy. The angel is highly animated with its curved wings draped over its body suggesting great fatigue or despair. Look closely to see a winged bird perched on the angel's staff. This sculpture's proportions are perfect. I especially like the way light and shadow play across the deep relief carving. It really is quite stunning. The piece easily stands upright for display. This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Beautiful Vintage Carved Wood Pediment Angel or Cherub in Center Over Door? I didn’t have a lot of time to shop this week because of visiting relatives. But I found some awesome pieces regardless, and I’ll be going to my favorite flea market this weekend, so I’ll have a boatload of items, fingers crossed, that will be new. I appreciate your business! This is a beautiful piece. What I have is a vintage carved wood pediment- with carved scrolls and what appear to be tulip flowers and what I believe to be either an angel or a cherub in the center. With rays around its head. This is a piece that can stand alone- but you could certainly hang it on a wall too, if you wanted to add hardware to do so. I'm showing in several photos that the back piece is actually made up of two pieces of wood(you can see the seam at the back, and under the face, ... moreit's hard to notice really anywhere, though, unless you are looking for it) and the face is applied to the top of the backpiece. It's hard to tell for sure, as there are no spots of finish wear to see with any certainty, but I do believe that the face is made from wood also. It feels and thunks like wood to me, but please supersize my photos and see what you think. It is painted a creamy white color(not white white, it has more cream to it than white-white) and you can see at the back that there appears to be a former color of gold on the piece- that's lots of peeks of the gold at the back, but not at the front. There are small spots of finish wear on the front of the piece- hence the"shabby" in my title, but they are small- there's no large spots of finish loss. The back was not ever painted for show, but you can see that it has some paint on it, both the white and the gold. The piece measures 32 1/2" long, 5 7/8" tallest at the center and the wood is 1" at its thickest on either end, and 2 1/2" thick at the face part- from the very back to the highest point on the face. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Reclaimed, antique wall shelf cabinet. This wonderful piece was once either a fireplace mantle shelf or possibly a top to an old buffet. The shelf is made of solid oak with a medium oak stain. It features ornate, carved wood appliques which are mounted on flat, column type, side accent pieces. The appliques are pieced together to form acanthus scrolls. There is a small display shelf tucked in behind each column. The appliques on the lower sections of the columns, form a unique, winged" paw foot design. The unit once housed a large, oval mirror in the center. It is no longer present. The mirror opening has a delicate, beaded wood perimeter. The unit is in very good condition. Antique 1800's- Black Forest Carved Wood Bed Wall Cuckoo Clock Bird Pediment- Some pics with camera flash and some pics without camera flash- Pediment measures 15" across x 9"1/2 high and about 1"1/2 thick at its widest- Here is a very nice what i believe belonged to the top of a very old cuckoo clock. Though i may be wrong, ither way it looks great just mounted on a wall or on top of a bed as a pediment,has many many uses,pediment is in excellent condition considering its age.has just a tad bit of the edge of its beak missing but honestly you dont notice at all unless you are inspecting it up close.i actually didnt even notice till i listed it tonight and ive had this for a few years, other than that i think it may have a hairline through the middle of its but the entire piece is totally solid.it is in no danger of cracking ... moreapart at all.it is nice and strong,i was also told this is a black forest wood but i am not certain,it may have just been painted or stained but ither way the color is uniform through out. other than that pediment is awesome.no other issues or damage what so ever. have a look at the birds eye- a real nice touch, not sure if its glass or what but it does stand out and look really nice,has a couple very small holes in the back where i believe it was hung on a wall.none of the holes go through to the nice side.i see no cracks or chipe or any other issues.looks awesome,a really nice piece and quite big and chunky aswell.much nicer in person i can tell ya that,any questions just ask, need more pictures just ask. Lovely Primitive Antique Cast Iron Baluster Pediment Rosed& Leaves Shabby Black I didn’t have a lot of time to shop this week because of visiting relatives. But I found some awesome pieces regardless, and I’ll be going to my favorite flea market this weekend, so I’ll have a boatload of items, fingers crossed, that will be new. I appreciate your business! Here is a lovely antique cast iron baluster or pediment. It has a double rose and leaf design and a shabby old worn coat of black paint. Perfect for your decor indoors or out in the garden. It measures 16 1/8" tall, 7 1/2" wide, a little over 1/2" thick, and it weighs a hefty 5 1/4 lbs. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition overall- not a wiggle or a jiggle. I'm showing in photos 3, and then both sides in photos 11& 12, that there is a diagonal vertical ... morecrack on one of the three horizontal irong pieces that run across the center of the piece. It's the one on the top if you have the piece standing as I do. I pushed hard, and there's absolutely no movement there. I thought I saw one on the center one too, but I only see it on one side, and it's much shorter- I do believe that that one is a crack. No other cracks that I can find. There's looooots of shabby wear to the paint, and you can see spots of surface rust where the metal is exposed- it's surface only. There's teenie light shallow pits that can be seen in the iron in some spots. The piece is barn fresh dirty, and needs a good bath- I have not cleaned or messed with the as found patina in any way. Lovely Old Vintage Carved Solid Tiger Oak Wood Standing Pediment Piece or? I didn’t have a lot of time to shop this week because of visiting relatives. But I found some awesome pieces regardless, and I’ll be going to my favorite flea market this weekend, so I’ll have a boatload of items, fingers crossed, that will be new. I appreciate your business! This one has more questions than answers for me! Of course. What caught my attention about it right away, was the beautiful tiger graining of the oak- my favorite wood. Also, I'm calling it vintage, but I do think that it could be old enough to be antique, finally, what da-heck is it? I'm calling it a pediment, but did it used to be a part of a furniture, or architectural piece? I don't know, it will be for you to decide! Now, I want to point out that the oak base that it is attached ... moreto on the front I do not think is original. I think that was added later so that the piece can stand on its own- and it does, while on a flat surface- I had to take if off of my rug to show you(hence, the photo on my sidewalk) as the rug was too bumpy for it to stand independently. The wood is solid, not veneer, and you can see the quartersawn graining at the back too. The piece has simple hand carved details that have been painted(on the insides and borders) in a dark red. I see peeks of the red on the sides of the piece too, but it's quite worn in many spots on the side, so it's only in peeks- you see more of the wood underneath, there. I did notice that the insides of the two cutouts in the piece either were once all red, as I think the sides were, or they were left unfinished and you can see some of the border red on the cutouts- it's hard to tell for sure, and you have to be up looking inside the cutouts to notice- that's what I was trying to do for you in photo 13. The piece is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The finish is a semi gloss varnish, and you can see spots of wear to that and the stain- very minor. I'm showing in photos 8& 9 tha

FLOWER CARVED ANTIQUE EASTLAKE VICTORIAN OAK ASH PEDIMENT CREST
This is a very nice antique Eastlake Victorian era oak or ash crest or pediment. It has a nice spoon or chip carved flower motif. It measures aprox. 34 1/4" wide at the top. 31 1/4" at the bottom x 6 1/4" high x 3 1/8" deep. We also have some other Victorian pediments presently listed. Antique 1800's- Fleur de Lis Style Wood Bed Clock Wall Accent Monarch Pediment- Some pics with camera flash and some pics without camera flash- Pediment measures 13" High x 8"1/2 Across x 2" at its thickest- Here is a very nice what i believe belonged to the top of a very old clock or bed or who knows what. Maybe a cabinet.it is in amazing condition no cracks, chips or any damage what so ever,has the hole at the top or bottom as im unsure which is which but im pretty sure the hole is original, probably there to attatch to what ever it went to. the only insignificant trivial blemish i see is a very thin little scratch across the top shell part,its very thin, not deep at all and not easily noticeable.really not even worth mentioning but obviously i have to.color of wood shows true in pics.i am unsure of what kind of wood ... morethis is but it is uniformly colored through out, no odd spots or weird discoloring,top to bottom this is a very nice piece,has a small hole in back to hang on a wall if youd like,otherwise who knows what you could do with this piece.very cool.
