OMG Antique Vintage FRENCH LEADED STAINED GLASS CHATEAU Chapel PEDIMENT ORNAMENT
Vibrant colours and good quality stained glass. This window panel adorned the wall of an antique Périgord château chapelle(see lovely Paris pink rose cross) The scalloped top adds so much appeal to it! I managed to rescue two similar panels. Sadly this one is missing some bits of glass and has some minor accidents. You could have it repaired. But it has so much charm in its original condition and when the light hits this panel, you can really see how bright and vivid are still the colours! This is an antique vintage ornament. GRIFFINS! Carved Secretary Desk Door Gothic Victorian Furniture Pediment HORNER?
One of the nicest panels I have ever sold! May have been made by the famous furniture maker R.J. Horner. But not certain. Circa, 100+ years old. Wood appears to be walnut. It has a wonderfully framed, bevelled, center recessed panel. Inside has dramatically 3 dimensional carvings. Middle head appears to be a roaring lion with mythical griffins to the left and right. If that wasn't enough, the outside border is also elaborately detailed. Great rich patina. Some outside border wear, but wonderful overall condition. This is an absolutely SHOWSTOPPER of a piece. Two beautifully detailed hand carved walnut pediments. These are solid walnut wood. Stained a dark brown with a soft satin finish. Nicely carved& are both in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are two screwed in brackets on the back of the pediments to make easy for mounting on the backside of a frame(top& bottom) for a mirror or picture. Can also attach to a dresser, hutch or wall unit. This is a superb 19thc mahogany wood carved heraldic pediment with a shield carved to centre. The attention to detail is excellent. All carving deep relief. A cross divides centre the shield and to one panel is a sword carved in relief. Ornate scrolled décor and carved acanthus leaves flow from either side of the shield. Gorgeous Large Primitive Antique Wood Architectural Pediment Piece Post 13 lbs I had an opportunity to go down state Illinois recently for the homecoming of my Alma Mater and shopped the wonderful sales. Barn sales and antique shops along the way. I have a huge variety of oldees for you this week- from 19th century primitives to 1950s kitsch- there’s something for everyone! Here's another show stopper today- and I don't think that my photos do it justice. It weighs actually. 13 1/2 lbs of solid wood- it's an architectural pediment of some sort- not sure where it lived in the building, but it will be yours to decide now. This is a beautiful primitive piece, with wornwornworn finish that is down to the wood in many spots, and crackled and alligatored in others. It measures 34 5/8" tall, 7" wide and 4 1/2" deep measuring ... morefrom the back to the highest point in the front. The wood of the background is dark to the point of almost black, and the raised areas either were left light on purpose, or have lost most of their finish, it's hard to tell which. If you look at photos 10, 11& 20, I'm showing a 1/4" chip, and a sliver next to it gone to the top of the wood at one end(the smaller raised end) it's right on the edge of the raised area. It looks like the top of the raised area may have been veneer, and that's what has chipped( or it just could be the wood chipped there, because, believe me, it's solid wood underneath. I'm not sure aoubt that, though, and this is the only spot that makes me question- there's no other chips that look like it may be veneer- so supersize and see what you think. That being said, there ARE other small chips to the piece, along with scrathes, scrapes, nicks, dings and cracks. It's rustic, but gorgeous and totally solid and sturdy. I'm not sure if I have it upside down or right side up in my photos( but either short end is unfinished, with holes from whenever it was in place, and the same goes for the back. This is a stateme

Offered is a nice antique wood pediment backsplash with great carved wood designs. I believe the wood to be mahogany or oak. But not sure. It came from the estate of a family member who was born in the early 1890's so would probably date around the turn of the century. Measures 47" long, 8" wide(in center) Bottom is 3/4" thick, and top center approx 2" thick, tapering out to 1" thickness. Original finish, some"blistering" of the varnish or stain. Antique ORNATE Carved BURLED Wood VICTORIAN PEDIMENT Secretary Door Hall Tree
Up for auction is this fabulous antique Victorian carved wood arched pediment being offered"as is as found" It is in wonderful condition, though some of the burled veneer is lifting and there is one spot on the top edge of the moulding where it meets the center piece that is chipped(as seen in photo 7) It is very ornately carved with exquisite details. The 2 drop turned finials on either side of the center medallion are intact. Not sure of the wood, it is thick and solid somewhat speckled with darker spots. Exhibits superb craftsmanship. Beautifully curved multi-layer moulding. The underneath has one dowel on the bottom and 2 holes on the other side where it sat on the original piece of furniture which is long gone. This would be wonderful on a secretary, hall tree or even above a doorway. There are different layers giving it greath ... moredepth and interest. Measures along the bottom edge underneath 33 3/8 inches long, 1 inch thick and with the moulding at the sides about 2 1/2 inches thick; it is 16 1/4 inches in total height, the first lower arch is 2 5/8 inches thick, the total depth it would stick out if against a wall would be 5 5/8 inches. Antique architectural salvage cast iron overdoor pediment
This heavy cast iron overdoor pediment came from a local estate. It is cast in heavy cast iron and has seen several paint incarnations and is in the style of Louis XVI. The current one is gold over a dark translucent brown. The overall effect is quite stunning and will certainly stand out on any gable or over a door as intended. The piece is intact with no defects. Just several layers of paint. Measurements are: 30" by 11 ½" and 1 ½" deep.

An antique French wooden carved cresting or pediment. With lovely fruits and leaves carved in the centre. Very scrolly and decorative. Circa 1910 This has a very French chateau look. Very decorative and very French. Wonderful shape and very stylish. It measures approx. 110.5 cms in length- 44 inches. The height is approx. 34 cms-13.5inches. It will stand proud by approx. 8 cms- 3 inches. This is being sold as I found it- fresh from a country brocante. The right hand carved piece has the very end and a couple of leaf tips missing- this is showing in one of the photo's. Evidence of past worm holes- I don't think this is active. But probably a good idea to treat it. There are a couple of breaks at the top- these have been'repaired' in the past by a central post on the back. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian Home. It is made of walnut and is currently painted white. It was originally part of a built in armoire. The lower part has fluting and a row of raised buttons. The crown has a nice shape with Eastlake Spoon Carvings and 3 applied carved flowers. It measures 52 inches wide by 20.5 tall and is 2.75 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. c1880 VICTORIAN OAK window DOOR header pediment crown MOLDING 78 x 8 x 3"
Late 19th century oak window or door pediment header. This pediment has original varnish- some quartered grain detail- although NOT enough to label as fully quartersawn oak.
