I personally select the absolute best of the best glass czech seed beads available and use the strongest C-Lon tex 400 nylon cord for bead making. I do not use fishing line. I believe it compromises the quality of the necklace as it ages. All photo's are to show the exact detail of this necklace. The color's I have chosen for this necklace are black and gold with white accents. A truly amazing necklace. Each necklace is a beautiful 27 to 30inches long. Custom lengths are available. Jim Morrison's Jimbo Bead Necklace Red Version This is the popular red version of the Jim Morrison's Cobra/Young Lion necklace worn during the September 1967 Joel Brodsky photo shoot. This is not the necklace that was in the 1991 movie The Doors(as incorrectly stated by other bead makers) I also have that necklace. Please check my other items. I make these myself with a high level of pride and care. Using a very strong nylon cord made for bead making(C-Lon 0.5mm) and the highest quality Czech beads(the same size that Henry Diltz used) resulting in a beautiful and high quality necklace: The length is approximately 28" or longer) Custom lengths available(shorter or longer) Email me with inquiries. The ends are not tied purposely. So that you can shorten it if you like, and/or add a clasp(I personally just tie a surgeon's knot. ... moreIt's very easy to do and incredibly strong. A clasp will break the pattern of the necklace. I can definitely add a clasp if you like. Resulting in a beautiful and very high quality product. There are other makers of these necklaces that use larger or smaller beads, but I like to keep it one hundred percent true to the original. Cord- The cord that I use is the most important part of the necklace. If too thick. The knot will not be tight enough and will come loose over time. If too thin, there's a chance of it breaking. I use 0.5mm C-LON cord that has a breaking strength of 35 lbs. This is extremely strong for a necklace as the average breaking strength of fishing line is only 20 lbs. When knotting a cord of this thickness, you get a nice, clean, tight knot that will never come loose, while at the same time incredibly strong. Cords thicker than this will not knot tight enough. What I’m offering is a 2nd printing concert poster for The Doors. Lavender Hill Mob, Joint Effort and Capt. Speed at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, CA on August 5, 1967. My determination of the 2nd printing designation is the lack of the printer’s union logo in the bottom left corner of the poster. Which is on the original, and the fact that the poster is printed on off-white paper stock, whereas the original is printed on green paper stock. There is also an original yellow paper stock version. This poster is NOT a current reprint of any kind. The poster measures 13 3/8 inch X 22 13/16 inch and is in solid NM condition. The only flaw is a light handling crease at the very top of the poster. About the Poster Offered here is BG 99 first printing poster by Bonnie MacLean featuring the Doors. Chuck Berry, Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis Joplin, and the Jefferson Airplane; sheesh… what a concert! This is one of my favorites. I have a framed copy in my family room. Advertised as"Six Days of Sound, Bill Graham set up a run of shows for six nights that culminated in one of his epic New Year's concerts. To accommodate the crowds, the venue was"the Fillmore scene at Winterland. This poster is in pristine condition and represents one of the posters that Ben Friedman of the Postermat allowed me to‘cherry pick’ from his stash that he purchased from Bill Graham. This poster looks pristine to me. But let the pictures tell the story. I hesitate to identify any poster as“mint” as someone will surely take a magnifying ... moreglass and find a spec; although this one looks as pristine as possible. I can assure you though that it as good as they were on the day of production. Pictures are the best description on the condition of this poster. The colors are very strong. No pinholes or creases; beautiful. Date of Performance: December 27- 31. 1967 Performing Artists: The Doors Chuck Berry Big Brother and the Holding Company Quicksilver Messenger Service Jefferson Airplane Artist: Bonnie MacLean These posters were very cheaply made; especially the earlier ones. Bill Graham never envisioned that they would someday become collector items. They were intended to be posted on walls. Telephone poles, etc. to advertise that week’s performing artists only to be torn down, discarded and replaced next week with a new poster for the next show. As such, maintaining them in‘pristine’ condition is an on-going challenge. I have gone through great lengths to insure that these posters have been maintained using only archival materials. You have here a sealed THE DOORS'Strange Days' stereo LP. Elektra EKS-74014. I don't know which pressing this is for sure, but it looks fairly old. it may be a'69 or'71. I suppose it could be a'67 or'80 too, but less likely. My guess is a'71 with butterfly labels. Whichever it is, it's a great album and with an interesting cover and great tunes. Sealed Doors lp's are getting harder to find(nice ones like this one) and prices keep going up for them too. The cover is in EX condition. Tight edges but light corner wear and 2 small scuffs on the spine with a little wear underneath(see photo) no splits. The shrink does have light surface wear and some scuff marks. I pack very well. It is 22"h by 14"w. There are 2 tiny pin holes at the top from where the poster had been hung on a wall. Otherwise, the condition is excellent.
