Lot of 11 Vintage Hooks, Door Handles, Knobs & Other Hardware Found On Farm
Found stored in the basement of an old farm house this past summer. You are bidding on a lot of 11 vintage coat/hat hooks and door handles/knobs. They have been used. Some do have paint on them. The glass door knobs do have a couple chips on the glass. I have not cleaned or stripped any of the items. You are getting them just as they were found. Postage to the United States is $8.50. Vintage Brass Door Knobs and Cover Plate--Assorted Lot
Offering an assorted lot of vintage door hardware. Included are 2 sets of door knobs. 2 loose door knobs, and one cover plate. Knobs measure 2-1/4" All of the knobs show definite sign of wear. The one knob set actually has a dent in one of the knobs(see photo) The sets are definitely older than the 2 loose ones, which have a lot of scratches. Not sure if a really good buffing could get rid of them. Face plate measures 8" x 2-1/2"

All of the knobs, with the exception of one of the white ones, measure about 2-1/8" in diameter. The one white one that does not, measures 2-1/4" in diameter. Please scroll down to see the photos. Welcome to this auction! Here are three sets of antique door knobs and backplates. I don’t know what they’re made of. But a magnet doesn’t stick. There is a manufacturer’s mark on the backs of the backplates. In the form of a clover. The letters“Y& J? are etched into the clover. The backplates measure approx. 7” long x 2 3/4” wide x 3/16” thick; the handles of the door knobs measure approx. 2 1/8” in diameter x 3/4” thick. None of the knobs or backplates have damage. But they all need to be refurbished. After I took the photos. I tried to rub off some of the“age grime” on the back side of one of the backplates. I used brass polish. And it looks like silver under the grime. Since all the plates are different colors it’s really hard to tell what they’re made of. Again. A magnet doesn’t stick, so they ... morecan’t be silverplate. This auction is for a lot of 8 antique. Ca. 1900, Corbin door locks with doorknobs and face plates, plus 2 Corbin locks, 2 double doorknobs, 2 door knobs, and 2 extra face plates. All are from the historic"Coal Heritage Trail" building in Landgraff. West Virginia built in 1922 by Empire Coal& Coke Company as their"Miner's Clubhouse" now the Elkhorn Inn) These locks are apparently older than the building. Which was built to replace wooden buildings on this site. We removed these door locks and knobs while restoring the building. They are all metal. And were painted; some of the face plates are slightly warped, and they need to be cleaned; there may be some rust. All are functional and appear to work. Selling as-is. Ethan Allen Colonial Brass Door Pull PAIR These came off Ethan Allen furniture but are very similar in size and style to one of the authentic Victor Victrola knobs I sell. But are nearly half the price. Used hardware showing normal signs of wear. Sold as a PAIR(2) 3/4" dia x 5/8" tall. Turned Brass Pulls. There are some tiny latex paint spatters as can be seen in the photos- probably from someone painting a ceiling without covering the furniture. They do come off with a plastic scraper.
