The motif is of scrollwork and a single flower! Function/Use: Used for support the top shelf of a mantle. Savaged from European chateau in Prague. Lot consists of two(2) corbels; they are the same motif. But oweing to their hand-carved production there is some variation in the shappe. One of the flowers is more open than the other. Structure/Composition: Made of hand carved hardwood with dark brown stain. Unstained side shows little grain ands is light honey colored. So it could be poplar or oak. Wear-and-Tear: In excellent condition. Edges to the leaves are still crisp and unworn. Removal from wall was done well; however one corbel is missing a chip on the backside and the other has a small crack on the side from their removal from the wall. This Period Mantle was hand crafted around the fireplace ... moremasonry that was constructed"Inside the Home Interior" in a Period 19th Century Home. After this early period. Fireplace masonry was then built outside the exterior walls. The mantles were(and still are today) mounted flat/flush onto the wall surrounding only the opening of the fireplace. This is a rare early fireplace mantle designed to wrap around the sides of the interior masonry. As well as decorate the front masonry opening. It is a rare full three dimensional period mantle. This mantle can be refitted to early masonry in a period home or be used in many other creative and decorative ways in any home. Paneled doors can be made for the opening to house a widescreen TV and full entertainment center or used in a kitchen for display and storage. Crafted into a closet. Etc. The uses are endless. Hand crafted using high grade/select Quarter Sawn White Oak Planks. All Hand-Raised Panels-both front and sides. Applied half-round Fluted Columns. Mantle was disassembled many years ago. On offer is a Victorian mantel clock. Wedgewood style decoration. Very pretty case. Classical figures. The face is quite ornate with black arabic numerals. No damage or marks. No cracks or damage to the case. Measures 13 by 18cm. The movement does work. But stops after a few hours. There is a key at the back of the clock which appears to be fixed to the back of the clock when it is turned it winds up the clock which runs for a few hours. But it also moves the face of the clock at the front, however this is easily straightened. There doesn't appear to be a winder for moving the hands, I think on this type of clock it may be done from the front. This is such a lovely decorative case and does work. Vintage 1945 Enfield Mantel Clock - Spare or Repairs
Vintage Mantel Clock Description Measures approx 20cm high and stands on two legs. The bases of which measure approx 6 x6 cm Made by Enfield in England Has plaque on the base which indicates this was a retirement present in 1945- this is quite simply and a bit crudely made. Perhaps due to it being made during the war years. Appears to be electric although there are no wires from the back(see photo) this is very much a'spares and repairs' piece. Cosmetically in good condition with minor marks to the wood and metalwork. There is some varnish drips down a few of the panels. The glass is in very good condition. The plaque is quite rubbed as can be seen from the photo. VICTORIAN BRACKET OR MANTEL CLOCK WITH FRENCH MOVEMENT - PERFECT WORKING ORDER
Please see the pictures below the description You are bidding on a very elegant Victorian bracket or mantel clock which is being sold in full working order and keeping excellent time. It has an inlaid mahogany case which is in very good condition apart from some age cracks at the back and the front of the curved top. And a vertical crack at the bottom of the back on the door hinge side. This can all be seen in the photos. The inlay is excellent. It stands on four brass bun feet. The back door is fretted with a cloth lining, and has brass hinges and a brass catch, this being operated with a small square key. There is no door key with the clock, but it can be opened easily with a small screwdriver or similar item until a key can be obtained. I would add that the entire case appears to be completely original, with no repairs or modifications. ... moreIt is fitted with an eight day French striking movement which has an adjustable suspension, adjustment being done at the front top of the dial. There is no maker on the movement, just a small circle containing some floral decoration and the wording'Marque Depose' The movement does carry the numbers'5608' and'57' the larger number matching that on the pendulum bob. The movement strikes the hour and the half on a brass mounted wire gong. It runs to the full length of its wind. The dial, which is convex in shape, has a silvered finish and black painted numerals. It has some deterioration of the silvering, mainly in the centre. It has steel hands. The heavy bezel is cast brass, and it has its original thick convex glass which is nicely bevelled. There is a key with it which fits perfectly, although I do not think this is original to the clock. This is a very nice looking clock indeed, working perfectly, with a nice, mellow strike. I have taken plenty of photographs to show its general condition- unfortunately, some of them do not really do the clock justice. Please contact me if you need any further information. Nice little Garrard mantelpiece clock with Westminster chimes and 8-day movement I guess that it is from the 1950s but it may be older- nice Art Deco case. It is very clean. Wood and dial good. Ansonia Mantel Clock with a nice Brocot style Jeweled Open Escapement Movement with a Porcelain Dial. Pendulum, back door.and some case castings. It did not come with an Ansonia gong but I have many"generic" or unknown gongs and will throw one in as close to what you would like. No glass in bezel. Runs on a test stand. The stand was only used to test and photo the movement, it is not included in the sale. The movement was not serviced here. Please check images. Dial has no hairlines though a couple of numbers show a very light paint loss on a couple of edges on close inspection. This is a brass looking clock with a large ship anchor design and a round clock between the top and the bottom of the anchor. It has a sailing scene etched onto the face of the clock with two sailing ships and a palm tree and water design. It says IMHOF and Swiss by the VI. 6) on the face of the clock. The roman numerals appear to be raised from the clock face. It says 1369632. 15 jewels, SWISS, Lever escapement 0.244 on the back of the clock. this clock is about 7" tall and 6 1/2" wide. Seth Thomas Mantel Clock with Lunal Dial Runs and Strikes(Bim Bam Strike) Here is a great Seth Thomas mantel clock for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an auction. Not sure what year this clock is. My guess would be it was made sometime in the 70s. But that is just a guess. The clock is key wound and is in running condition. The clock has a bim bam strike. Two different rods and does a hit on each rod for each hour. So 2 o'clock would be a bim bam. Bim bam. Does one bim bam on the half hour. There is a 7013 movement in this clock. There is also a lunar dial. But not sure if that part of the clock is hooked up or not, so saying that piece of it is not in working condition. Nice wood case on this clock with metal adornments. Some finish loss along the edges and corners. But still shows well. The clock case has metal legs ... moreon it. The clock face is made of metal. Nice matching hands. The clock face door latch and hinges are in working order. The clock stands 11.5" tall. By 9" across, by 5-7/8" wide. The topper will be taken off of the clock to ship it to you, so be prepared to reinstall it. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. As can be expected when dealing with an antique clock. Some adjustments may be needed after shipping to get the clock re-running correctly again as they can be very delicate. It has lots of 1930's charm and measures approximately 28 cm x 17 cm x 7 cm. It was made in the UK by Smiths. Smiths were an English. Clock-making company based in Cricklewood. Their first clocks were made during the early 1930's and production peaked during the 1950's. The popularity of their clocks ensured that they soon became a household name. It has a lovely. Oak finish with sunray decorations to the bottom left and right. This has been wax polished to give it a silky finish. The clock face is an attractive octagonal shape and easy to read. It measures approximately 13.5 cm x 10 cm and features a nice. Cream face with a dark gold chapter ring. The bottom-centre ... moreis marked"Smith" rather than the usual"Smiths" only the very earliest clocks where marked this way. The face is covered with convex glass which is held in position by a chrome bezel. Upon very close inspection, the glass has some light scratching and the odd mark; however, these do not notice when placed on the mantle. It has been removed and cleaned inside and out to provides a good view of the face. The bezel has some pitting but is in good order overall and has been polished. The original. Old, mains mechanism has been upgraded to a more reliable and safer, quartz movement complete with original moon hands. It takes just one AA battery. These are cheap to purchase and easy to obtain. The movement is hidden inside the clock and accessed via the rear. The time is simple to set by rotating the right knob on the movement. In summary. This is a used, vintage item and is around 80 years old. Some markings are to be expected but it has been nicely refurbished to an excellent condition. Antique French Portico Mantel Clock Circa 1840 8-Day Description: A French Charles X portico clock circa 1840. This clock is wonderfully decorative. Having an elaborate faux painted wooden case, painted to look like ostrich skin, with chinoisserie style flowers, inlaid with mother of pearl, and with ormulu appointments. The dial is white enamel with ormulu surround and the ormulu pendulum is very ornate. The clock has an 8-day movement and it is in good working order, made by Chaumont of Paris, signed on the movement. The only damage I can find is a boo-boo at the base on the back of the clock. Ingraham Co. 8-day time and strike movement” which chimes on the half-hour and counts the hours on the hour on a cathedral gong with a mellow sound. The movement runs very well and keeps good time. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its exact age. It doesn't currently work-my guess is that the battery needs replaced. In photo#2 there's a dirty smudge I didn't notice at first-it has been completely cleaned off. As in the last photo the piece is acid signed. I see only one very insignificant fleabite on the ridge of a groove. This is a lovely piece with the crystal in nice condition. Beautiful antique ceramic mantle clock. The base is a dark. Rich green; the midsection in off white w/ the roses overlay, and the top browns w/ gold accent through out. This is 14" tall by 11" across by 4" deep. The ceramic portion of this clock is in pristine condition for an antique but the clock needs some work. The face of clock is 4" in diameter. The clock is in need of repair. There are no hands and I don't know after that? This was an estate find and I have no history on the piece.

Great antiques Sessions mantel clock with lion head handles and green marble/enamel pillars. It appears to me that somebody recently oiled it. This piece was a great estate find! It's tested and keeping time great! I didn't include a key in the pictures. But you will receive the key with this when shipped. It's in good condition for it's age. There are a couple are small areas that have scuffs/gouges that I pictured. There were feet on this piece at some point, and obviously you can purchase and reattach them if you'd like. Please examine the pictures closely. The bottom width of the clock is 15 3/4" and it's 6 1/8" deep. It measures 10 1/2" tall with a clock face diameter of 4 1/2" Thanks for looking!
