Niagra" Waterbury Calendar Clock This is a great example of an antique calendar clock that would fit in great to anyone's home or collection. It features the original movement. Pendulum, glass( no design on the glass) pendulum and hands(as far as I can tell) 8 day movement, half and hour strike, calendar on the dial, with red hand. According to the book by Tran Duy Ly on American calendar clocks, this clock was made in 1911. The case is oak and has probably been refinished. And looks good. The trim, wood, etc in good shape. Dial flaws as shown. Paper on the back in pretty good condition, see the picture. The clock runs fine. Accuracy I am not sure of, due to its age. The last time we decorated with it in our house, over 3 years ago, it kept time well within reason for its age. The case measures approx. 29" tall. By 16 1/2" ... morewide. If you have questions. Wonderful Estate Auction Find You are bidding on a beautiful Victorian Bristol Glass mantel vase. I believe the color is called clamshell. Manufactured in the late 19th century. Victorian Bristol Glass is appreciated for its delicate hand painted botanical motifs" This is a very nice example. The florals are very well done, and there was a lot of gold detail. The gilt bands are mostly missing from the top, middle and base. The delicate, semi-opaque color becomes deep orange when held up to the light. I believe this was called"fireglow" See pic#9-this was the best I could get a shot of- it was beautiful held up to my dining room light) The vase measures 7 3/4" high and is 4" in diameter. It has a rough pontil, and he#63 in gold on the base. This may be an insurance registration number. I've listed it as a mantel ... morevase, but it could also be a barber's bottle with out the top. Antique Boardman & Wells Ogee Wood Movement Wall Clock Shelf Seth Mantel Thomas
Offered for your consideration is this Antique Boardman& Wells Clock. Boadman and Wells antique clocks are clocks that were manufactured by a clock making duo in the early 1800s. These clocks were made in Connecticut between 1832 to 1843 and in all its 11 years of manufacturing. The company that created these clocks churned out quality merchandise that has become one of the most sought after antique clocks in the world today. This clock features very primitive wooden clockworks. It is a half pillar& splat clock in a mahogany case having a label on the interior that reads, Boardman& Wells Bristol, Conn. USA. among other directions. This clock is in very good condition. The columns are turned, sliced in half lengthwise and the paint decorated. They are applied to the front of the case. The splat is decorated in the same manner and ... moreis original to the clock. The front of the case features a door that is divided into two tablets. The lower tablet features a dark floral image. The upper section is fitted with it's original glass. Behind this, one will find a nicely paint decorated dial. It features Arabic numerals and various interesting gilt designs. Inside the case is the Maker's label which is applied to the inside of the backboard and is in fine condition. The wooden constructed movement is a time and strike design and will run for thirty hours on a full wind. The wooden movement is weight driven where it is operated by a weight hanging down each side of the interior of the clock. This is an extremely large clock towering 39 inches tall x 17 inches wide x 5 inches deep.The clock case features ravishing column finales on top and column end feet on the base. As mentioned this clock is in very nice condition. It comes with 2 weights, key, pendulum, and a lock w/ key on the door. The case features a stunning dark finish. Mantel Clock Candy Container Souvenior of Ocheyedan
UP FOR AUCTION: Mantel Clock Candy Container This is a Candy container that was from Souvenir of Ocheyedan. Iowa. Dated from 1913 to 1916 The container is 2 7/8" x 1 3/4" x 3 3/4" tall and is made of glass and metal. The metal top portion slides to the side to open the container. The glass is on the back and side is crazed and the front glass has scroll work pattern. The glass container is trimmed in gold and stained in a light green. The base has large dots that are uneven in spacing and height around the base. There is no coin slot. The clock is made of paper glued to the inside with dials set at 8:20 second hand at 28. Under the dial are"what look like" the words; Souvenior of" Ocheyedan. Iowa" it is very difficult to tell for sure. Across the clock face is either a scratch in the glass or a hair imprinted ... morein the glass. On the back panel is another either crack of piece of hair imprinted in the glass 1 1/4" long. You can feel it on the inside but not on the outside. The metal cover has several places of mild corrosion. The top L/H corner under the metal cover has 1/16" chip. On the top edge above the dial under the metal cover is another chip 1/4" long. On the top L/H rear corner under the metal cover is a 1/8" chip that has been painted over with original gold paint. The inside bottom has some old candy stain and a piece of 1" long glued to the bottom which was from the original. A nice piece of nostalgia. A hard candy container to find. Displays very well! This is denoted by the one remaining dual winged cypher on the left shoulder board. One wing is actually broken. I got this coat personally from the original Vet's family in Vancouver. Washington. Every stitch of this coat is 100% GUARANTEED ORIGINAL WW2 of the period. Other than service wear, there are no repairs, split seams, major dryness or problems with this coat. The leather is supple. Some areas show where the dye has worn, but there is no major dryness. Coat has all of it's original buttons, original button stitching. As pictured, there are two missing buttons on the front. Very interesting and beautiful C1920-1930s Oak cased Striker type Mantel Clock that has a twin going front wind movement. Comes with original key and pendulum. 8.5" tall x 11" wide x 5" deep. Nice chromed front opening bezel that holds the convex 6.25" real glass. All in good used condition and comes in working order. GERMAN MADE HAMILTON MANTEL CLOCK + WEATHER STATION **5 days only
This is an all brass. Hamilton mantel, quartz clock with barometer and thermometer. The clock keeps good time, the thermometer works and the barometer is working. There is a silica gel package, in the back, which, is original to the clock and is labeled in German. There is a spot of rust on each, front facing-side panel, a small section of very light pitting on the left panel, a 3/8" long, light scratch on that same panel and several small specks of rust? on the stand, under the glass and a tiny spot on the front of the stand. I have enlarged photo's 5& 6 to show the spots on the front facing-side panels. The top has two variations of brass tone, as shown in photo 4. There is a stop and start button on the battery operated clock box. The clock measures, 8.5" tall and the base is 7.5" wide X 3-3/8" deep. This clock ... moreweighs over 7.5 lbs. by itself. This is a antique Seth Thomas Adamantine mantel clock. It works but I am not sure how accurate it is. This is a black 1882 with green marble Adamantine. Model 89 no. 2-6-G This clock chimes every half hour and it chimes on the hour a different chime sound. It has a key. It measures 16 x 6 1/4 x 11.it beautifully ornate feet. And great looking engraved details. The columns look like glass or marble but are a type of celluloid Adamantine is a celluloid veneer glued to a wood base. Seth Thomas made very high quality clocks.
