Antique Ivory Dove Tail Wooden Medicine Cabinet w/Mirror, 3 Shelves, Latch
This is a small wall mountable medicine cabinet with a mirror on the outside and three shelves inside. It is in very good condition. Has a newer coat of ivory paint on the outside with only a few small chips, a handle with a lever on the front that easily latches and unlatches the door, tight and sturdy dovetail joints, and art deco style printed paper on the inside of the back panel. The mirror has some light spottiness and haziness but images can be seen clearly throughout. The panel on the inside of the door behind the mirror is held in by tiny nails but is a little loose in spots and could use a couple more nails. There is also a musty odor that is evident when the door is opened. There is no m/old or water damage anywhere, and it doesn't smell like a damp basement, it smells more like old bandages and gauze. They are used, I bought a bunch of these at an old dairy farm about a decade ago, and have found them to work really well for keeping stock where I put them. They were used to hold Holstein cows while milking. 1 clasp measures 4 7/8" long with a 5/8" opening. 1 clasp measures 5 1/4" long with a 3/4" opening 4 clasps measure 4 1/8" long with a 5/8" opening. This is for a lot of 7 barn door hinges and a barn door latch. Very rustic and very vintage. Came right off the barn, The hinges I have pictures of is 7, but 2 of them are not moving, the other 5 are just fine. I'm sure just need to have some paint and rust removed out of the hinge part, otherwise in great condition. The door latch is very nice also and has all the parts for it, took that right off the door itself. The hinges are 10" long and 5 1/2" wide, the door latch is 7 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide.
