Vintage Wooden jewelry box carvings exc condition working latch & hinges
This is a beautiful. Vintage, carved, wooden jewelry box. It is 6" W X 4" D X 2 3/4" H. The hinges and locking clasp all work perfect. The front latch has a small pin type that you could actually put a small lock through. The inside is red cordoroy. There is a small spot on the side otherwise clean. The mirror is clean without any aged crazing that old mirrors get. The inside has four ring slots. The carvings on the top& front are very nice. I can't decide what it is but I think it looks like a sailboat. For all jewelry box collectors. This is a nice one.

Great Small Wooden Camelback Trunk Suitcase This great small tall trunk. Case measures 13 inches tall, 13 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches wide. The case is made of thin wood. With a leather handle on top. It has a beautiful metal latch. I have had several people in the"antique business" take a look at this trunk and they have no idea as to exactly WHAT it's purpose was. They guess the date of it's manufacture as early as 1930's to as late as 1950's. I have spent hours on the internet looking up Camelback Trunk salesman samples. Hat boxes, overnight cases, etc. There are no stamped markings. Etc. anywhere! What I DO know is this is an absolutely beautiful little wooden case and if I had anywhere to sit it. Inside under the lining on the bottom there is a date stamped on there that shows the box is almost certainly from the 1950's(the 3rd number is almost certainly a 5 but the 4th number isn't legible) The size is about 13 1/4 inches long(not including latch) 5 1/2 inches wide, and 2 1/4 inches tall. Condition: Check the pics. Definitely works. Latch closes properly with a good amount of tension(since it has the springs) Wear and tear, scratches, minor discoloration and/or loss of color, paper or something from inside of lid removed, and maybe some paper or a sticker was removed from outside of cover too. Vintage Rustic Country Chic Window with Latch
Very neat old vintage window that was on hinges that swung open. Latch remains on the piece. Glass is in very good condition with no chips or scratches. The glass is old with ripples if you look down at a certain angle. I tried to capture that with the camera. But it doesn't look the same as in person. It was painted white and yellow at one time as you can tell by the remaining paint. The back of the piece is mostly yellow. It measures 38 inches high, by 33.5 inches wide, by 1.5 inches deep. Dug Civil War excavated from Manassas Virginia latch part relic
Hello. Up for your consideration this awesome piece of american history. Few weeks ago we received a authorization to search with metal detectors on a private property located in Manassas Park. Prince William County, Virginia, which was a scenario of the first major battle of the American Civil War. It was a very productive and excited experience and here we present the first batch of relics that we have recovered. This is some kind of strap latch or some kind lock. The item is 2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall, please see the pictures. The item its made of cast iron and present black rust(which indicate that the relic its at least 120 years old. You are bidding on a FANTASTIC relic example of a Riegelhalterung(Cowling Latch) used to secure the Me109 main lower cowling to the airframe. This was used on all Me109's from the Me109 G thru K model. This was recovered from an Me109 K wreck. However I do not have any history on the loss. This latch was mounted on both the port upper/lower cowling. It allowed access to such areas as the oil system. Weapons, and engine. Made of steel and aluminum. This piece was used in all models of the Me109 G thru K from 1942 to 1945. O riginating from an Me109 K-4. It is in VERY NICE relic condition! There is some slight dirt build-up and corrosion, but it is still very solid. I have indicated it's location in the last photos. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display! I have a nice old reusable cast iron rim lock for your consideration. Could use a cleaning and lube with the removal of a single standard slot set screw. Driverod gear spring is strong and works latch. Locking lever for drive gear latch engages and disengages nicely. There is no skeleton key for deadbolt slide so you will have to use without it until one is either found or made. This is a heavier good quality box measuring 3 1/8 x 3 3/4 inches. Pair of early red clay black glazed doorknobs. A 1/4 inch driverod, cast iron rosette, cast iron keyhole trim cover for obverse side of lock, catch and some set screws for knobs are included.
