Set of 6 HEAVY CAST IRON Vtg/Antique ACORN FINIALS Fence Gate Post Tops Caps 5" Beautiful set of 6 of vintage/antique metal acorn finials. I am not sure of the age but they appear to be quite old. I believe that they are cast iron. They are thick and heavy. About 3 pounds each. The finials are painted black and stand approximately 5" tall. The bases measure 3" x 3 1/4" at the widest point with the interior dimensions being somewhat smaller. There are screw holes at either end of the shorter sides to secure the finials to the top of a post. It looks as if there are screw remnants in these holes and they would probably need to be drilled out if you plan on using them as intended. 3 of the bases have breaks(see pics) There is some wear and flaking to the black paint( you can see other paint colors in some areas) and also ... moresome rust here and there. Normal rust inside and out present. It stands 14" Tall from top to bottom. The opening for the post measures 5" across. At the base are for holes to attach the rooster to the pole. Antique Wrought Iron Plantation Mansion Driveway Entrance Security Gates Fence
I am selling 2 fabulous Antique Wrought Iron Decorative Entrance Gates from an old Mansion estate era 1870's from Rockton. IL. They tore it down years ago and the gate stood on the limestone columns for another 1/2 century before they were taken down by myself. I believe they weigh at least 500-600 pounds each as myself and my father had one hell of a time loading them on a car hauler trailer. The condition of them are good for the age and all the years of being in the mid-west weather. One of the gates has a crack at the bottom horizontal member that can be easily welded. The front gate is missing the vertical 3/4" swivel rod which can also be easily replaced. The back gate is missing one of the round decorative circles and can also be fabricated very easily. All in all they are in good condition except for a few bends here and ... morethere and a little heat and a good fabricator can fix you up in a day easy with everything that they need to make them 100% again like they were 140 years ago. The gates measure 106" wide and 105" top to bottom and as I mentioned earlier about 500-600# each without exaggerating one bit. The best way to get them would be to pick them up at the farm here in Rockford. IL. I will however do what I can to assist in freight as long as I only have to load them with my tractor on a truck. If by chance by rail we will have to discuss that as there is a hub in Rochelle, IL just 35 miles south of my residents. These would look great in front of an old Victorian home or a Mansion somewhere and I would love to see them after they are erected. She is leaning on a split rail fence alongside a basket of freshly picked apples. This little girl is in very good condition with no dents or rust. And only minor paint chips/loss as can be seen in the pictures. The colors of this charming piece consist of a muted country rose/peach, green and brown. This item is very clean and ready to be put to use propping open your door or displayed in a place of prominence in your home. Cast iron metal piece arrow weathervane pointer fence top cross antique salvage!
This shiny black rusted ancient piece is 9.25 ounces in weight. 8.5 inches in length and 3.6 inches in width and.75 inch depth. I am not sure what it was used for. My best guess is a weathervane pointer. It has some rust showing through the top layer of paint and obvious previous rust buildup that has been painted over in the past. ANTIQUE WROUGHT IRON LOOP DESIGN FENCE
2 gates. 3 posts and ALMOST 40 feet of attractive wrought iron fence in 6 sections. The gates match each other with a flower ornamentation at the top side of each row of 9 points. Gates stand 40" high at highest center peak and 36" wide with 3" seperations between the fence posts. The design is a loop with point and is very attractive and inviting to look at. There are two 7 ft sections, and two 8 foot sections, one 4 foot section and one section just shy of 6 feet at 68" The 3 posts stand 44" high with a ball/bulb design top. 2 posts have similiar double bolt bottoms, the other only one sided. When this fence was removed in the 70's it was stored in a garage. It is very heavy and would require pick up in our garage location in Northeast Pennsylvania.
