You are bidding on an original family-owned Antique Victorian Cast Iron Doll House or Christmas Tree Fence. This unique Collection was in my mother's family. Specifically my Great-Grandparents(Circa 1900) My Grandmother and my Mother, both, enjoyed this Cast Iron miniature fence around the Christmas tree, many decades ago. This Antique Cast Iron Fence has been in storage for many decades, and continues to be in good used condition. My mother saved it through the years in storage. It has not been altered, repaired or changed in any way. This Antique Cast Iron Fence for Doll House or Christmas Tree is painted green and gold. It has stood the test of time. With some rust(see photos) and a couple of flaws that will be noted. There are a total of*10* pieces to this Fence: 5 Fence pieces with"latching" and approximately 11" in ... morelength and 5" in height(floor to top of connecting pole. 1 Fence piece that has no"latching" but has 2 end poles. Approximately 11" in length and 5" in height. 2 Fence pieces that have"latching" on one end and"hooks" on the other for the swinging Gates. Approximately 8" in length and 5" in height. please note: a physical"flaw" of 1 missing gold knob at top of pole on only 1 fence piece) 2 Gates that can be moved or swung open or shut. Approximate 3" in length and 5" in height. All pieces fit together. Some more snug than others. However, as you can see from the photos, the collectible Antique Victorian Cast Iron Fence comes together well, and can be adjusted in its perimeter. It appears that there were bolts that could bolt the fence part down at the feet area of the poles. Perhaps if placing on a wood board, this would be necessary. Anyone who is handy with nuts and bolts could create a more permanent fence with this technique. The green and gold paint has stayed relatively intact. But not perfect. I am very pleased to offer to you this wonderful double arrow design cast iron gate that recently got in a estate sale-it is 100% original. The gate is in good condition. Please not the bottom set of arrows are sandwiched between a double bar and this one of the reasons this gate has withstood the test of time because of its beefy construction. It measures aprox 43 1/2" wide and 36" tall and 38" to top of center arrow. Please not that I could find no missing parts, no cracks-two of the arrow heads are missing half the head. as you can see from the pictures there is the usual rusting associated with a cast iron gate of these age.
