I love this vintage French display cabinet. It is wood with glass on 3 sides and mirrored in the very back. This has the French doors that are fabulous. There is also a glass shelf in the center that can be removed if you want to display taller items. What I really like about this cabinet is it can be hung on the wall by the built in tabs on the back or it can just free stand on a table. The cabinet measures 13 inches across by 8 inches deep by 12 inches tall to the top of scroll work. Antique, interior, french, double doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. This door is made of Douglas Fir and Walnut, and features 16 glass lites. These doors are made of"double laminate" construction. Which is essentially 2 doors put together to form 1 door. This not only makes each door stronger, and more secure, but also better for insulation and increases its resistance towards warping. Even though these are interior doors. They can also be installed as exterior doors for your home. Hardware: One of the doors is equipped with flush bolts on the top and bottom of the lock stile. However. They have ornate, cabriole legs with prominent"ball" feet. They have scalloped aprons with carved detailing. The front faces feature double doors with wire insets and delicate, brass flower pulls. The faces are flanked with fluted columns for even more interest. The pair are a gorgeous color. They have a general medium wood tone but this is achieved with a chocolate glaze over a golden wood color. There is a darker, outer finish which has a slightly(sparingly) splatter look. The Door Unit has been stored in a heated and air conditioned walkout basement. The unit has a light varnish finish on all the wood(exposed) no glass is broken. This deal includes all windows and doors pictured, also all casings and jam mouldings. The hinges and handles are also included. This unit was originally installed on the interior of a large seminary building hall, leading to the library. The surface looks to be birch overlaying a pine secondary wood. Description This is a nice set of doors that were salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They are made of oak and are painted on both sides. There is a raised panel at the bottom that has a diamond shaped molding. The shelves below the glass are curved and the upper shelves are straight. The panel. Glass, and upper shelf are trimmed in egg and dart molding. The backs are plain with raised panels at the bottom. Most of the hardware needs to be replaced. They have one panel if distorted glass but the other is missing. They measure 42.75 inches wide together. By 84.25 tall and are almost 2 inches thick. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. The astrigal is missing. The inside glass stop molding has one missing piece. Two sets of Antique French Wood Doors Salvage * No Reserve
Pulled from a 90 year old house. These doors are super heavy and contain the original door hardware. I kept these thinking I was going to re-use in the house I completely gutted and rehabbed but decided not to use. The doors are what you expect for Doors that are 90 year old. Great craftsmanship.
