Antique 1800's Gilbert "Jet" Black Lacquer Eastlake Clock Case No Works 4Restore
Up for auction is a very good. Original condition antique 1800's Gilbert Clock Company parlor clock case. This model is called"Jet" and has its original paint and glass. Great Eastlake style. Nice silver metal corner details. Someone probably took out the works for repair and then lost track. Original gong is there. Nice glass with reverse applied image. If you have works with face and hands you can restore this clock. Measures 19" tall x 11" wide x 5" deep. There are three large scratches in the back wood. Tbis can be filled and repainted. Eastlake Victorian Mirror--Original 19th C Handcarved Walnut--Ornate--BEAUTIFUL!
This is an astonishing ornate Eastlake Victorian mirror from the 19th century. It is in all original condition. The condition being very very good. The glass mirror itself has no blackening. It has a couple minor scratches. The glass is framed with a plaster and gold guilt surrounding. There is some of the plaster showing through. This can easily be restored if you don't like the patina. The wood is different shadings of walnut and is decoratively carved with various markings. The pillars on either side seem to have a varnish on them and some of the varnish is coming off. This you can see in the last picture. The back is all solid original wood with an old wire hanger. The mirror as a whole measures 24 X 46 inches and is heavy and sturdy. Original. 1870-1880(square nails used) ornate pedestals. Originally held candles or oil lamps for illumination. Solid walnut, highest quality construction. Spectacular, Eastlake carving and bevelling everywhere. Still has some of the gold highlights inside the carving. Wonderful spindle rail along the bottom makes each one completely freestanding. 8 sided platforms have a beveled lower edge and corbel bracket underneath. These are authentic, Victorian salvaged antiques and not reproductions. Each one measures 35 3/4 inches tall, almost 9 3/4 inches wide, and 8 3/4 deep. Platform is 6 inches by almost 5 1/4 inches. Black clock face. The works are marked Ingraham with a patent date of 1879. Backplateis missing. Was replaced with a piece of board. You are bidding on a lot of 2 antique inkwells/letter& penholders. 1 of these[the bigger 1] is an American Eastlake design. It is a cast metal inkwell stand that also serves as a letter and pen holder. It retains its original glass inkwell. The bottom of the inkwell has the patent date Nov 25. 1989 which makes this inkwell very unique and collectible. The item is approximately 5 inches high and a little less than 6 inches across. The inkwell itself is 2 inches high. The inkwell fits very well and the cover for it is actually attached to its stand which is unique. The inkwell and the stand are in great condition for their age and usage-the top of the inkwell does have a bit of rust but this is very normal for this type of product and its age. 19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE ARTS& CRAFTS ERA'EASTLAKE' LARGE FANCY SLIDE-BOLT DOOR LOCK. Door lock is circa 19th century. It has fancy ornate Arts& Crafts Eastlake raised relief designs of lily flowers, scrolls, and perhaps an apple with a flower inside(see pics) It is quite heavy and well-made and weighs over 1 lb. it measures approx. 8 1/8" long x 2 1/8" wide, it is almost.75" deep. It has a chain on the ring end(see pics) the ring-end pulls back to retract the bolt and it works properly with good tension and is strong. The lock is cast iron and is a nice large lock with pretty deep relief designs which are raised-there is a design that looks like a round apple shape with a stem and leaves on top and with a geometric flower inside(see pics) and of scrolls, geometrics, and lily flowers across front(see pics) From ... morethe center of the end hole to the center of the opposite hole across the width way measures approx. 1 5/8" across, measurement from the center of hole to the opposite center hole measured the length way is approx. 5.75" Is in excellent period condition with no cracks-chips-dents-loose/bent/or broken pieces. Has some expected wear and small abrasion-no gouges-there is no deep rust or corrosion. Antique Victorian Eastlake Marble Top Walnut Foyer Hall Side Occasional Table
This lovely antique Victorian Eastlake foyer/ hall/ side table features a walnut base with intrique detailing. Original dark finish, original white marble top with gray veining and casters on feet(while old and in place for quite some time based on signs of aged metal, the casters are likely not original because they are not wood casters, so it makes sense that they were replaced at some point) I believe the table is late 1800s, but it could be as late as 1900-1920(I can't find the original paperwork) There are no chips or cracks in the wood base, and the marble top is great condition, with no damage. There is one small light brown-ish spot on marble from where price tag was when I bought the table(see photo) but since it is on the surface(versus in the marble) and you can feel it with your finger, I am sure it is the remnants of the ... moresticky side of the price tag that could be buffed out(I never bothered to try) All four legs have casters, but one of the casters has a few very small chips to the wheel part. Not distracting at all, only visible upon very close inspection. There is also a tiny line at the very top of the litho. Also not distracting. The litho is signed along the right border. It is dated in the lower right corner. The litho was put on a stiff backing some time ago by the original owner. Which also serves as the backing in the frame. This is a wonderful CHILDREN'S ANTIQUE 1890'S LINCOLN ROCKER FROM THE EASTLAKE PERIOD THAT HAS CANED BACK AND SEAT WITH A WONDERFUL WALNUT INLAYED AND SPINDLED BACK. The chair has been refinished and caned and is in very nice used condition. There is so much going for this charming chair. It has scroll arms. Spindled back, Eastlake walnut inlay on back, nice sturdy 21 1/4" runners, nice tall 27 1/4" back, a nice wide seat measuring 15" wide in front and 12" in the back and 13 1/4" deep. President Lincoln loved this type of chair for its comfort. It is one of the cutest and sweetest chairs I have ever sold. The chair could also be used for a baby doll or bear. Rectangular top with scalloped edging with great lines to the carved legs& center crossed support. Carved notched lines add additional depth& dimension to the legs& legs. As well as the simple flower carved into the center of each side of the rectangular top. Some cosmetic light surface scratches to the sides of rectangular top in spots. Lovely Vintage Eastlake Victorian Silverware- Lot of 3. I briefly cleaned the tarnish on these. There is a teaspoon. Butter knife and master knife. All three have a different pattern. The teaspoon measures about 5.75" with a sunflower type design with lots of nice detailing. The butter knife if roughly 7.5" and has a flower design. A wonderful three piece Parlor set including a sofa. Ladies and gentleman chairs in white upholstery with black ebonized wood with Eastlake design carved crests arm rests, base and legs. In great shape, except one chair has a piece of wood missing on the back of the crest side making it loose if picked up by the crest. It's fully supportive for your back though. It does have normal kiss of time on the fabric but may very well clean off, I am offering the set in"as found" condition. Good biddings!
