Weighing 4 pounds exactly(1.814 kg) I'm not sure if it's brass or bronze. But based on it's weight, I would tend to think it's bronze. At its longest point. It measures 13 inches(33 cm) It is 3 3/4 inches wide(9.5 cm) When attached to a door with its two smaller pieces, it protrudes out 4 inches(10.2 cm) It's a great looking piece. The detail is classic Eastlake. There's no company name on it. But I'm sure it was made by a skilled craftsman. Except for some tarnishing. There's no damage to it. Offered for sale is this antique lot of 5 Eastlake Victorian Brass Drawer Pulls. The top 3 pulls on the board are slightly larger than the bottom two. The top pull has been cleaned to a shiny brass finish while the other 4 need cleaning. The screw holes measure about 2 3/4" apart while the length of the pull is about 3 3/4" The screws are all newer screws and have nuts on them being used as washers. Antique Eastlake Victorian Parlor Wide Arm Chair - Spindles, Ornately Carved
Up for sale is this wonderful antique parlor chair. It is an Eastlake style from the Victorian period. And features light olive-green upholstery with carved spindles under the arms and on either side of the back cushion. The lower back is very nicely carved as well. This chair is in good condition overall. The arms wiggle a little, and although the chair is free of any major damage and free of repair marks, it does show various small nicks. 98% of the grommets are intact and the fabric looks to be original, or at least from around the same period, only showing a few small spots and not much fading. I would consider the fabric above-average for its age, and the wood is around or slightly above-average, considering it is unrestored. It has been conditioned with lemon oil and has a nice, even shine now. Regarding sturdiness, I weigh 160 pounds ... moreand the chair holds me very well. The arm span is unusually wide, measuring 32 inches from the outside, left to right. Floor to top measures 34 inches; seat height is 17 inches; and the depth measures 23 inches. The table was manufactured in 1917 by the patent holder, Mr. John A. Fenton of Oakland, California. The patent can be viewed at http:www.google.com/patents/US1302344. The table features the patented finish which resembles hand carved. Blind fretwork. The table is wood(oak? and is heavy. It is finished in a dark brown under stain then topped with the patented finish which is a marbled, red color with orange undertones and highlights. The finish is a relatively thick substance which has a ornate pattern in relief. It does look very much like hand carved wood. It is extremely beautiful and unique with elements of Art Deco and Eastlake design. The table features this ... moredesign on the carved, scalloped skirted sections as well as on the table top perimeter. The table legs are turned wood and there are turned wood mounts on each corner of the skirt as well. This is a very ornamental table with a fabulous design. The table is in very good condition. Both the wood and the hardware are in PERFECT shape with just the right crackle and patina that you want to see on an antique piece. I have a beautifully patterned Victorian Eastlake period door slide bolt lock for your consideration. Measures 5 3/8 x 2 1/8 inches and comes with original surface mount catch. Spring feels good for reuse. Backplate removes for easy repair or maintenance. This would have been typically used for the topside of a door where you would pull on chain for disengagement. Chain is not original although is period correct where it came off another similar damaged slide bolt its same age. Latch box has old finish and some grime that should clean off nicely. Original. Victorian era, architectural piece just dying for an imaginative re-use. Unknown wood type but great condition and patina. Inscribed carving on the middle raised panel. It may be some type of burled wood because the grain is much different than the rest of the wood. To the left and right are Eastlake flower medallions that have ebonized petals. Wood buttons surround each flower. Below are dark stained squares which may have had something in them at one time. Overall, this panel measures approx. 41 inches by 14 inches. Eastlake Victorian Cherry-Walnut Picture Frame W/Mirror. This antiques framed mirror measures 11 3/8" by 13 1/4" Inside measures 9 5/8"by 7 3/4" 1 5/8" deep. The frame has it's original one piece pine backing which is fine with the mirror. If you were to replace the mirror with a photo it's recommended to remove it and use a different backing. Wood might have a residue that could be absorbed in the photo to cause foxing. The frames wood is either Cherry or Walnut not positive.The frame has a gold trim on the inner most dimensions followed by a black trim then wood then another trim of black.
