Antique Vintage Sargent & Co. Victorian/Eastlake Brass Mortise Entry Door Lockse
Today I have a Sargent& Co. Of New Haven, Connecticutt, entry door set. There is the makers name and a patent date of Jan. 26, 1886 on the lock. It appears to be brass, I didn't clean so the original patina is there. Comes with everything in pictures, lock with face plate, escutcheon plate with two key holes- one covered by cover that swings to side, key hole plate, thumb turn for deadbolt, round plate for handle to pass thru, two washers, and all original screws for mounting. It may be hard to see, but all plates have lots of detail on them. Cleaned up they should shine. The lock part that would fit in pocket measures, 4-3/4" tall, 7/8" wide, and 4-1/2" deep. The spring-loaded latch measures approximately 6 inches long plus the catch. The nice chain measures 24 inches long and it has the original ring at the end. This decorative antique piece of hardware also has traces of a bronze color or finish on the cast iron. I can not find any maker's mark or manufacturing name on the piece. This very fine hardware pulley measures 4 inches long and the pulley wheel measures 2-1/2 inches in diameter. The cast iron frame has a nice acorn style design at the end. This pulley has a frame that you screw directly where you want the pulley to go. Two holes in the frame at each side provide locations for where the pulley frame is secured. Hi. This is a lovely little revolving bookcase. It's a red pine with 3 grooved pine strips on each side. Base is made with an East-lake style design decoration. I would guess circa to be early 1900's. The top has a more brownish color to it which accents the piece. I am selling as found from an estate sale. It stands approx 29 inches high from top to floor with the top measuring 16 x 15 3/4 inches and 11 1/2 across the bottom of the base. Two shelves for books or display measuring 7 3/4 inch high on the top one and 10 1/2 high on the bottom shelf. Revolving motion is smooth and sturdy. Antique Eastlake Victorian SOLID WALNUT Carved& Inlaid FURNITURE FRONT PART The overall length is 24" and the width is 2" The thickness is 3/4" measurement is 13 3/4" and the tapered tips that extend into the chair slots are just a bit more that 1/2" long. This is a typical American Eastlake Victorian furniture part. The long grooves are typical as are the style of the carvings that either represent flowers or cherries. Also the strip of fancy burl grain which is overlaid in the 1" x 8" center rectangle is typical of Eastlake Victorian style. I do not know what piece of furniture this item was attached to. There is a wooden(walnut wood also) mounting bracket on the back and deep-set dadoes on each end that were used for mounting. Condition: This piece is in relatively good condition for its age. The ... moreonly wear and tear seems to be on the overlaid burl strip that is worn off along the topp edge and the left end. It is not warped. This punch paper"IN GOD WE TRUST" is in great condition with no tears. No missing thread but does have slight staining on bottom, as shown. It is done in very small stitches with variegated red thread which is quite beautiful. It is in a solid walnut Eastlake frame which is also in great condition with no missing or broken parts. It retains the original finish, gold liner, wavy bubble glass and wooden back. It is put together with cut nails and all the corners are tight. This is a fantastic. Rare c1870 Victorian Aesthetic Eastlake gilded deepwell frame. I rarely come across these and when i do. They usually have been repainted.this is only the third one i've come across in great shape and with the original surface. Frame is in excellent condition and measures 13 x 15 with an 8 x 10 rabbet and is 3" deep. In addition the mat holds a picture approx. 4 x 5 1/2. Mitered corners and gilded sides. This ca. 1880 Eastlake style Armchair is in great shape. Upholstery springs and padding are intact and functional. The Walnut chair is upholstered in a vivid velvet fabric with raised patterns and classic Victorian color scheme. The velvet is probably European sourced and more likely from Belgium. The background is between cream and beige. Dimensions are 39" tall. 25" deep and 24" wide at the back, and 27.5" wide at the front. We didn't find a maker's mark. A matching Setee in similar fabric is available and 4 matching chairs in a golden mustard velvet are available as well. These will be listed separately within a few days. You are viewing a King Super 20 Tenor Sax from the Eastlake days. Based on the serial number. It would date to around 1968. It was serviced on 12/23/13. Pads were replaced and it was adjusted. It plays great from top to bottom. The neck has a patch near the tenon. It ships in a hard shell case. It will arrive ready to play right out of the case. This would make an excellent horn to play out since it already has some wear. It appears to be the original lacquer with no signs of a re-lacquer. This is a large late 19th century antique deep well Victorian era Eastlake marbleized portrait frame with its original photo. I would date it circa 1880s. Overall. It measures 23 1/2 inches x 27 1/2 inches(59.7 cm x 69.9 cm) The back opening size is 18 1/2 inches x 22 1/4 inches(47 cm x 56.5 cm) The molding width is 2 3/4 inches(7 cm) It's fairly hard to find a frame this size in this style. It's all original. With no restoration. It has its original old photo. The photo has some places where it was eaten by silverfish and an approximately 1 1/2 inch(3.8 cm) tear just above the man's left shoulder. The frame has various spots with minor nicks. Light scratches and a few very small places with chipped gesso. But given the age of the frame, it's really minimal. It has its original bubbled and wavy glass. What appear to be old ... morescratches are actually just lines in the glass itself. It's a great looking piece of early glass! The frame has developed a beautiful old patina. Ornate Purple Victorian Antique Velvet Hinged Doors Eastlake Frame w Lion Heads This is a Very Ornate. Classic Victorian Antique Double-Doored Frame from the Eastlake Period featuring two beautifully detailed hinges and Lion Heads, likely brass( but I’ve never polished and has a lovely. Rich patena and not really tarnished but aged) With Moveable Rings through their mouths that act as pulls to open the hinged, double doors. Has four elaborate hinges on the doors with distinctive/unique still Eastlake shapes. Frame stands 9” high x 6-1/2” wide in deep purple velvet with original cabinet photo of probably two sisters since they’re in essentially the same dress circa 1870s. This appears to be the original photo from the inception of this frame. A very ornate gold metal edge frames the photo. The original wire easel can and does support the weight ... moreof the frame w/o slipping and is removed for shipping but easily fits into its little metal holes. Velvet is in rather good condition for its age but does show wear, esp. around the edges, likely from more lifting/holding and because of the lead content then in silk velvets. The top of the back of the left door also has wear on the silk and the new owner may want to add color to mask or mend over that part. This is original and untouched. Anyone who loves Victorian excess will know this is a magnificent example of the period. I’ve been retired for some years and decided to start parting with a few of my favorite things so someone else can enjoy them now. Always thought this was wonderful.
