There is some loss of gilt. all of this can be seen in the pictures. There is no difference in the color of the lady's cape/coat as the photograph indicates in picture 2. It is a shadow. The frame is in the Japanese Esthetic Movement. It's mahogany with a reprinted hilt liner. There are cherry blossoms on top and bottom. A beaded chain is on each side. The frame is 10 7/16 inches high and 5 7/8 inches wide. Has a wire easel in back for propping frame up. The interior of frame is 5 1/2 inches high and 3 13/16 inches wide. The photograph is clean. Please take a look at this lovely Victorian 3 Layer Deep Well Ebonized Guilded Eastlake Wood Frame from the late 1800s. This is an outstanding late 1800s brilliant gilded Victorian Aesthetic Eastlake three layer deep-well frame in nearly mint condition. The interior layer is gilded and is in very good condition with only minor discoloration or wear. The second layer is ebonized and incised decoration in a floral design. The outermost layer is wood. Probably walnut. The frame is in very good condition with only very minor wear. From the back you can see the multi-layered. Square nailed construction with the original shingle backboard. This wonderful frame measures 14-1/2” x 12-1/2” with a 9-3/4” x 7-3/4” opening. The print is Currier and Ives“American Farmyard Evening” which first came out in 1857. Beautiful Antique Eastlake Settee, Chair, Needlepoint Roses & Velvet Upholstery
Terrific antique Eastlake settee or wide chair that's perfect a side piece in a living or family room. It's carved with a vine design at top. And upholstered in needlepoint with complementary velvet. The ebonized wood(possibly walnut. Of which many of these were made) is in nice condition with some light surface wear in a few spots and minor nicks/chips on the bottom where the upholstery is attached. The only real condition issue is to the back of the carved. Decorative piece at the center/bottom; it has a good-sized chip and a smaller one, none of which can be seen from the front. The upholstery is in very good condition with just minor wear from age/use. But has no fading or holes. The roses on the seat are petit point, and the rest a larger needlepoint. I believe the needlepoint is original(it almost certainly dates to that time ... moreperiod or within 20-30 years) But the settee might have been re-upholstered along with newer velvet and trim at some point. The settee measures 32.5" high. 20.5" wide and is 32" long. Because of its size/weight. Eastlake Spoon Carved Victorian Pediment Fretwork Tiger Oak Panel
Large. Salvaged panel with spoon carved Eastlake details, 2 medallions, pierced fretwork with clovers, 4 columns. Measures 13.5 inches tall in the front and 13.25 inches in back for one long side angles back slightly. The piece measures 45.5 inches long. Has a one inch ledge. Beautiful dark tiger oak. There are two holes on the ends(one each end) and one minor chip on the very end(see photo) On the back there are scratches like someone scratch the wood when taking something off- perhaps something that was at one time behind the open fretwork. There is also a red stain- perhaps the remnants of old glue. On one of the smaller panels, there are couple of small chips on the front(see photo) Other than this, the fretwork is in great shape. Antique Victorian Oak Stair & Hall Railing Spindles Trim Eastlake Style Ornate
LOCAL PICKUP ONLY This stair and rail system is one of the most unique and striking examples of victorian wood working I have ever seen! All original. Taken from a large farm house built in the mid 1800's. Made of Oak, it has an original light coat of varnish remaining. It consists of three sections; The back hall; the side hall; and the stairs. The back hall has a rail that measures 45 1/2 inches long. The spindles measure 28 1/2 inches tall and are attached by means of pins, holes, and grooves, there were almost no nails used. The side hall rail measures 9 ft 5 inches, has 11 spindles spaced apart 10 inches on center. The post that connects the side and back rails measures 39 1/2 inches tall. Today I have a Sargent& Co. Of New Haven, Connecticutt, entry door lock set. There is the makers name and a patent date of Jan. 26, 1886 on the lock. It appears to be a brass plate with metal lock, I didn't clean so the original patina is there. Comes with everything in pictures, lock with face plate, escutcheon plate with two key holes- one covered by cover that swings to side, key hole plate, thumb turn for deadbolt, round plate for handle to pass thru, two washers, door handle with both knobs matching, and all original screws for mounting. I do not have the key. It may be hard to see, but all brass parts have lots of detail on them. Cleaned up they should shine. Victorian Windsor Eastlake ROSETTE Aesthetic Antique Door Knob Face Back Plate This door knob escutcheon is solid. Heavy cast iron. Six-sided Hexagon shape. Circa 1870-1880s. It is exceptionally well-made. Details are crisp. Condition is excellent! No cracks or breakage. No paint. No warping or bending of shape. Clean. It is completely ready to install and enjoy! Measures 2 3/16" in diameter(at widest point to point) Measures 1 15/16" straight side to straight side. The doorknob well is 11/16" in diameter(inside edge to inside edge) We accept Paypal.
