This is a fancy and big sand hour glass in a wood swivel and surrounded with 3 wood columns. The actual hour glass flips over and runs for about an hour. Offered as a single lot are four matching 19th century antique wooden architectural columns dating ca. 1890. These turned and painted wooden porch spandrel spindles. Or balusters, were salvaged during the renovation of a Victorian era carriage house in Saratoga Springs, NY. Each antique spindle measures approx. 19.75 inches tall, with base and top measurements of approx. 2.5 inches square. The baluster spindles have a wonderful surface! They still retain most of their old, crackled, chippy white paint. The spindles stand on their own, if you wish to use them as mantel garnitures to flank an antique mirror or portrait. This lovely mirror has an overall measurement. Including the timber surround of 158cm high and 112cm at its widest point. The body of the frame is 101cm wide. The actual mirror measures 121cm x 75cm. What can be seen of the works through the center face hole reads Plymouth. Conn. USA; above this, the letter S can be seen to one side of the hands post and an M on the other, anything else obscured by parts. Other measurements are 4 1/2 x 14 3/4" at base and 7 1/4" across the round marked part of the clock face. Measuring from the outside, the windows are 7 5/8" wide with the top window being square and the bottom 8 5/8" long. My clock knowledge is limited and clock is sold'as ... moreis' but I'll note what I can. Key and weights are missing so potential working condition is unknown. However, using an onhand spare key that fit, winders feel/sound OK and will raise the weight strings. As to appearance, clock needs some detail cleaning in places, mainly the inside floor and nooks and crannies around the columns. What's left of the label is fragile with edges lifted. Care will be taken in packing to try to preserve it but I can't guarantee that more bits will break off. Metal face looks like it has been repainted at some point. There are some worn spots and dinginess, mainly at the bottom edge and around the winder holes but it's good overall. Door windows are good. Nice reverse picture on the bottom one. There is a little peeling near the bottom but only significant wear is in one bottom corner area and then there is a center top laurel that is on the outside- this has considerable wear/peeling and may also lose bits in shipping. There is a small square of missing veneer on the front of the ledge above the columns to one side, just minor little nicks/scuffs and occasional fine crazing here and there otherwise. Nice unknown maker antique Mantel/Shelf Clock circa 1896 from the estate of a clock maker/collector. Case is in good condition with a bit of paint loss and patina. Clock has three green columns on each side with brass holders. Nice faux marbling detail above columns. Dial is missing crystal- has hands. Clock has great brass feet which do have some patina and brass decorative ornaments on each side. Comes with nice large brass works which are marked 1896 and gong coil but is missing pendulum and key. We have no idea if this is in working order. See photos- what you see is what you get! This auction is for an Antique MAGIC LANTERN SLIDE of the Egyptian Temple Columns amongst Ruins by J.Levy& Cie. Suc.rs de Ferrier& Soulier, Paris. The size is approximately 9.75cm(3.87inch) x 8.3cm(3.25 inch) A lovely Photo. This slide is labelled number'42' from a series of slides of Egypt by J.Levy& Cie. Suc.rs de Ferrier& Soulier, Paris c.1870. This slide is of great quality as you can see from the photos. The glass and print is in good condition. There is also very slight wear to the edging paper which does not effect the slide whatsoever. The first photo is a bit yellow due to the bulb colour in the light box I am using. But as you can see from the second photo the image is black and white. There is blue label stating'J.Levy& Cie. Cool Antique Sessions Mantel Clock W/Works - Parts/Repair! Columns!
Cool Antique Sessions Mantel/Shelf Clock with Works from the estate of a clock maker/collector. Really Nice! Great columns and side ornaments on either end! For parts if you like but most likely for restoration. The clock is in decent antique condition but not in working condition but a restorer could probably get this up and running with some effort. Made of wood. Includes works. Clock face with hands, pendulum, but missing key and clock door and crystal. Could be missing other parts– not sure. The side ornament on the left side has a bit of damage on it as shown in the photos. Great Project! Very Cool! The case has a fair amount of dings, scratches, and nicks but nothing that some polish won't clean up nicely. Clock Needs TLC. See photos- what you see is what you get! This listing is for a great eye appealing antique vintage INGRAHAM ANTIQUE MANTLE CLOCK.Fancy Face,Columns,Nice Patena on case and movement and looks all Original and looks nice,movement nice and clean with a patena has no key or wood back plate but has pendulum& partial 80% original label and one foot is a little loose(just needs a nail I think) I tried it out and it kept running and seem to keep time and the bell chime and gong is working and sounds good.I nice original clock.See photos for condition or ask question. This is a pair of fluted oak pillars/columns. They measure 15" x 5" They are made of quarter sawn oak. No veneer.They each weigh over 5 lbs. A chip here& there and a slight seperation on one. Ornate Victorian Era Mantle Columns to Repurpose~Carved Walnut~Shabby Elegant!
Beautiful old carved walnut columns that were likely removed from a Victorian fireplace mantle. It appears that someone later mounted them on walnut veneered boards. And someone slapped some paint on one. The paint comes off pretty easily…I was scratching some off with a fingernail. There is old water damage, but it only affected the backing board, not the walnut columns. They have chips and some damage. But would be beautiful repurposed into something else. They each measure 40” x6” x 3” In response to a question: How fully round are the columns? The columns are half-columns. As if a full column was cut in half.the last four photos shows the side views and the views of both ends.

Lot of 5 Beautiful Old Vintage Turned Oak Wood Balusters Staircase Columns The pickens were slim this weekend as far as auctions and estate sales. So I went to a favorite antique mall that always has an awesome February sale. Picked up lots of antiques and unique items to list! I also continue to list new items from the farm estate auction, with lookouts more new hardware pieces over the next several weeks. I am also going to one of my favorite flea market shows this weekend, so wish me luck! There’s something for everyone! Nopenopenope- I'm not finished with the farm auction architectural and hardware- I still have looooots of lots- it's like opening a treasure every time I open a box. I'll have new items this week. So be sure to check back too. What I have here is a lot of 5, vintage solid oak turned wood staircase balusters. ... moreIt's a matching set, and they are gorgeous, with a patina that I'd describe as a dark medium. Each one weighs just over 1 1/4 lbs, and measures 30 5/8" longest. That's measuring from the flat end on one end, to the"like a stairstep) raised end on the other side- like the ends on either side in photo 8. The balusters measure 1 1/2" square at the ends, and go down to about 1 3/8" in the center where the wood is turned. They are all in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The finish shows some wear, with one that has more wear on one side than the others. There's very minor scratches, scrapes, nicks and dings that you really have to look for. Two of them have rusty nails that have been pounded down sticking out one end- see my photos. I see some light hairline cracks from age and the dry winter- but very minor and no movement at all- these are strong and beautiful and ready for you! Please ask if you have any questions.
