19th c Centennial Mahogany China Closet Full Columns& Ball& Claw Feet with Key Being presented for sale is this beautiful mahogany china closet which is referred to as Centennial furniture. In the late 19th century the United States was celebrating our 100 year birthday as a Nation by acknowledging the earlier styles and periods of furniture. Early furniture styles as Chippendale and Queen Anne were duplicated and custom made during this time and since. Have been referred to as Centennial furniture. This china cabinet features two tall glass doors and glass sides with the original glass and hatched designed panes. The three original adjustable shelves inside all of which have chamfered bottoms and double plate grooves, the original mirrors at the back and the lock intact on the door with its working key and full Corinthian columns ... morethat flank the glass doors. The china cabinet rests on boldly carved ball and claw feet with carved acanthus leaves on the knees. The finish appears to be all original and in excellent condition having a deep, rich color and desirable patina. Measurements: 60 inches tall 52 1/2 inches wide 18 inches deep weighs approx. 145 lbs three adjustable shelves that each measure 47 1/2 in. wide by 11 12 in. deep This fine 19th century china cabinet is solid and tight and has a beautiful presence. Antique Seth Thomas Black Mantle Clock Four Faux Marble Full Columns for Repair
Up for auction is a nice Seth Thomas mantle clock. The clock has been running for the last 24 hours(gained 6 minutes) I don't know when the last service was preformed as it is freshly picked clock. It has the ST back plate along with the pendulum. The Key is not original to the clock. The dial will clean up nicely with a good service. The measurements for the clock are as follow 16" long. 11" high, and 5 1/2" deep. The only damage I saw was in 2 of the corners(pictures 10,11) Its just a nice old piece of history. We do ask that you pay within 2 days of auction ending. This clock is being sold as is since I don't know when the last service was done. Up for auction is this gorgeous Fenton"Diamond Point Columns" vase in amethyst base glass. This antique measures 8 1/2" high with a 3 1/2" base. Beautiful iridizing. Excellent condition! No wear on the base. It does have the usual small bubbles in the glass from manufacturing. Please ask any questions before bidding! This is part of a large collection I purchased from a elderly collector. These pieces have sat untouched in a glass display case for over 50 years! Edge treatments such as ruffles, candy ribbon, pie crust or 3-in-1 were all hand shaped with various tools which often left tool marks. RARE Antique Millersburg Rose Columns Carnival Glass Vase w/ Amethyst Body
This auction is for a very rare antique Rose Columns Carnival Glass Vase made by Millersburg in the early 1900's with an Amethyst body. It stands approx. 10" tall and is approx. 5" wide at the top. It is in excellent condition except for one tiny chip to the point of a ruffle. See last ebay photo. In fact I didn't notice it until after I listed it so I had to revise it and add the photo to the ebay photos. There are no cracks or repairs. The interior has a very pretty iridescent sheen, see photos, and a very silvery exterior with hints of Gold and Red. It's almost mercurial at some points. As you probably already know there are only 12 with an Amethyst body known to exist according to the info on the Internet. I think we can now add this one to that count as it is fresh from an estate and as far as I know was never recorded ... morebefore. Shipping will include fully insured with double or triple boxing. For parts if you like but most likely for restoration. The clock is in decent antique condition but not in working condition but a restorer could probably get this up and running with some effort. Description: Beautiful antique curio or what-not wall shelf. This is hand-crafted with lots of nice features. All original with old hang rings and in excellent condition for its age as there are no apparent broken off or missing pieces of scrollwork There is a small age split to one part of the decorated top but doesn’t affect the integrity. This vintage shelf comes with three tiers. The unit has the wavy lines that were popular in the Art Nouveau movement and this is echoed in the decorative top apron. What makes it extra nice are the two turned barley-twist columns. These types of shelves were always made to show off the owners prized possessions and this one is no exception as you can see in my pictures. 1939 Bronze Medal Czechoslovakia Shall Be Free Again WW2 Nazi Swastika Columns
Here is one you will rarely see even on E-bay. a Extra Large Medal 1 1/2 Diameter 75 Years old and still in super cond. uncirculated with great eye appeal. Just try to find another this nice! This brass medal measures approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The front of the metal shows a heroic soldier figure. With his arms shackled to two columns marked with swastikas and capped with German war helmets. There are two snakes slithering from the sides coiling upward around the columns, with their heads poised to strike at the manacled hands. At front right, there is a boy clinging to the soldier's waist. At left, there is a mother with a baby in her arms. Below it reads, Czechoslovakia/Shall Be Free Again. In the background of the bound soldier there is church, school and bridges. Pravda– Zvitezi is on the coin. The reverse side of medal ... moreis said to be an almost exact duplicate of the reverse of the korona coin used during that time period commemorating the death of President Masaryk. The only difference being that the coin’s denomination over the shield is replaced with March 15, 1939, the date of Hitler's entry into Prague. This magnificent medal was struck for the Czechoslovakian Consulate by the Medallic Art Company. And was distributed to sympathizers who contributed to a fund raised to continue the Czechoslovakian Exhibit at the Fair, after the Government had been destroyed by the Nazi invasion. The sculptor was Mario Korbel. Regrettably, its elaborate design did not allow space to mention the New York World's Fair, for which it was created. Please look at the photos for more detail.
