This is a lovely pair of silver candlesticks made in 1902 by Thomas Bradbury The candlesticks have removable sconces with a gadroon decorated rim and round tapering columns which stand on square stepped bases. The columns of the candlesticks have a band of acanthus leaves to the top and chased interwoven'8' s with half of each 8 in beading and the other half in leaf motif. The stepped column have bands of gadroon decoration and a band of leaves and flowers. The candlesticks are filled and have green felt bases. The candlesticks are 3 inches/ 76 mm x 3 inches/ 76 mm and they stand 4-3/4 inches/ 120 mm high. They weigh 611 grams. The candlesticks and the sconces have matching ... morehallmarks- lion passant. This is for a Antique Crotch Mahogany Dresser with Acanthus Carved Columns Picture Framed Mirror. This is a wonderful antique crotch mahogany dresser with acanthus carved columns on each side of the original picture framed mirror and on each side of the dresser base. The fancy carved columns flow down to a heavy claw foot on each side with the original wheels under them. Some wheels made need a little oil to get them to roll freely. All drawers have glass knobs although some of them are not original. The top has some stains but you may be able to just buff them out if you decide to. The mirror is original with some fading that you can use as is or replace it with a new mirror. The drawers are held together with handcut dovetails and the inside are made of quarter sawn oak. The backing door has a couple cracks, the little backboard piece you see missing in my photos was inside the clock and can easily be adhered to the backing. The clock frame is essentially quite fine with ... moreno cracks or chips, slightest edge dings and wear, less than normal. The wonderful Adamantine veneer is perfect with no chips- a wonderful swirl mix of orange, green and blacks shades. When I wound the 2 arbors at the front both feel fine so we are certain no spring or gear damage. It ran on a brief test but it will need to be cleaned and oiled. The chime striker works but it will need to adjusted to strike properly. I only mention these as I want the winner to know that although it does not appear to have any damage or major issues, it will need a normal cleaning, oiling and adjustments. I absolutely love the form and style of this truly magnificent clock. Guaranteed a genuine 1880 era Seth Thomas as described, all original except the weight and keys are probably later replacements that fit perfectly. The clock key is a fine solid brass number 7 size. It winds, ticks, runs and chimes as it should although I cannot guarantee it will keep working. The dial face glass appears to have been replaced as it sits rather awkwardly inside the rim, I noticed one of the columns is loose and the back swing door is missing the latch. This is a very nice matching set of 6 Vintage Victorian Style Porch support columns. There are 4 main support columns and 2 close-out half columns which would be located at the end of the run. Dimensions are as follows: Overall length- 97 1/2 inches. The circumference at the top is 21 inches, the circumference at the bottom is 26 1/3 inches. Columns and matching trim items were removed as carefully as possible but as you can see some breakage has occurred. Thus some repair or reproduction work may be required. Description This is a beautiful pair that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They were originally part of a fireplace mantel. They are made of walnut and are currently painted. The top pieces can be removed and have fluted faces. The columns have carved capitals. They are tapered and have carvings at the base as well. The original plinths are in good shape.
