Antique SIMMONS Hardware. Cast Iron Heater or Stove Grate w/Flame Logo Emblem This listing is for a antique. Heavy cast iron stove or heater grate with the Simmons flame logo emblem. It measures right at 10" long(not including tab on end) X 9" wide. And emblem stands aprox. 7 1/4" tall mounted. The emblem measures 5 1/4" tall X 4 1/4" diameter. And can be removed as it is screwed to grate. It is rusted. So haven't tried removing it. The emblem is marked with what looks like S6. And the grate S5 as seen in pictures. There is rust and some pitting. But is in good shape, no cracks or breaks that I could see. Please view all pictures for condition. Thanks for looking. This was probably used on the wall, given that it was painted. Condition: This cast iron floor register is in very good vintage condition with no breaks or cracks. The old paint. Looks like about three coats of neutral colors, has worn away in many places, giving it a wonderful shabby chic look. Also there is light rust in the areas where the paint has worn off. Great look! The louvers are in working condition to regulate the amount of air flow allowed in the room. The grate/vent cover is 14 ½ inches tall. 11 inches wide, and approximately 2 ¾ in deep with the louvers open. There are multiple layers of paint and surface rust. Unique Antique Cast Iron Air Grate Table -Sleek Modern Rustic Look-
This is a one of a kind antique cast iron air return grate that has been turned into a table. The top is 18" x 27" It is about 32" tall. The legs unscrew so this item can be shipped. The grate is an old victorian style late 1800's or early 1900's style with the original white. Now cream colored, paint. The table is 2x4's framed underneath the top with early American style legs screwed underneath. The wood frame is a more rustic style and was not done in a professional store or anything. It is still nicely put together though. The wood has been painted a glossy black and has a nice modern look with the contrast of the two colors.
