This auction is for a set of Myers Sure Grip Trolley rollers. These are antique and have been painted red and white. Came off an old sliding barn door in Vermont. Have the primitive look from years of working. Leave as they are or refinish. Measure 2 1/2" track wheels in diameter and 1/2" thick. Entire trolley roller is 11 1/2" long. Rollers 6 1/2" across. A pair of FE Myers door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely. These rollers are in good working condition. They come with 4 good working bolts and square nuts. The 8' 8" track pc is good and straight with all the original wall brackets there and well connected. It comes with 18 square headed lag bolts or screws. These rollers were off a RR depot"highdock" It was a small offloading building for a train and its floor was around the same height as the floor of a boxcar so they could unload the boxcars easier. These rollers had so many coats of red paint on them that the lettering was hardly readable. So I stripped off most of the paint and carefully cleaned them up. One is missing one of the two spring loaded screws that hold the barn door frame to the fixture. A pair of antique myers stayon adjustable[pat May 28 01] tandem wheel door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 2 5/8" wheels turn freely. On one wheel on the front side of it one can see in the picture that it has a tiny"pc or fleck missing" I think that this was done in the original casting process. And the roller worked just fine for many a year like that and I see it to be no problem. These rollers are in very good working condition. All of the adjustment screws and nuts can be turned with ones fingers. They come with 6 good working bolts and square nuts to connect the"hanger plates" to the door. The track pc is 6' by 1 1/4" by 3/16" and it is good and straight with all of the wall brackets there and well connected. It was sandblasted and painted. The rollers were stripped and cleaned and ... morecarefully handpainted to give them an unique look. These rollers were off an old"grainery" and someone must have oiled the wheel bearing now and then to keep them in this kind of condition. I have them wired to an old oats bin door that was part of the 3rd level floor out of an older"bank barn" Which would be a larger barn with a built up dirt and gravel ramp for the horses to go up to get to the second level. The casting on one has a crack where the strap goes through on the 1st louden machy co roller. The second"chipped" roller is sure grip[which I think is. Or soon became myers] The small door measures 18" by 16" tall and it is made out of white pine. The louden roller was off the same barn as was the"valentines day" set of rollers.
