PA.The length of the rollers is 13 inches, the width of the mounting section to the barn door is 4 1/2 inches. The mounting hole size is 3/8 ths. of an inch. The stand alone weight of these rollers is 7 lbs. 7 ozs. There are residual signs of old paint on the rollers, I do believe the bottom half of the rollers were painted a beige color and the top half were painted black. Both track rollers spin freely. a pair of louden"roll easy" brand barn door rollers that are in very good working condition. The roller wheel on the left has what I would call a very small casting flaw on the outer edge of the wheel. It just looks like it missing a small chip[ 1/8" by 1/8" and it does not affect the wheels performance in any way. Other than that they have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely like they should. They come with 4 original good working bolts and square nuts. The door hanger straps are for a door 1 3/4" thick. There are 2 pcs of louden brand track[ one 6' pc and one 8' pc] The 6' pc has a rail connector pc on the left end of it to connect it to the 8' pc. Both pcs of track are good and straight and both pcs come with all of the original cast steel wall brackets there and well connected. ... moreThe wall brackets hold the rail out 1 1/2" from the wall. The rail measures 1 1/4" by 3/16" thick. I did carefully clean up all of this hardware trying to not remove too much of the"age" off the surface. Up for auction we have an awesome pair of antique barn door rollers! The rollers are marked J.O. Co. Reading. PA. It looks as though the rollers were painted beige on the lower part and some remains of black paint on the tops of the rollers. I had another set of these same rollers that I sold on Ebay a few days ago, this is the last set that I have. The rollers measure 13 inches in length and the part that bolted to the barn door measures 4 1/2 inches across. As you can see from the photos for what ever reason the embossing on the roller on the right is somewhat weak but still readable. I cleaned these rollers with a soft brass brush, soap and water, then clear coated the rollers with spray enamel. The rollers are in very nice stable condition, no breaks cracks or repairs. Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" Here is a really nice early pair of antique cast iron barn door rollers manufactured by F.E. Myers. These rollers are both marked on one side with: MYERS STAYON ADJUSTABLE. ASHLAND O. USA. and on the other side with the patent date of: 1888. Each roller is complete with no replacement parts– although there is one missing nut on the bottom bolt in one of the triangular brackets. All of the nuts and bolts move freely and so do all four pulley wheels. Each roller mechanism weighs in at about 4 lbs. Is 12” long from top to bottom and 7” wide across the top wheel housings. Each door mounting bracket is ... more6 ¼” long, 4” wide across the top and 1” wide across the bottom. The plates spread apart to allow of a thickness of about 2” with the original bolts in place. These barn door rollers have only been wiped down with a dry cloth. The mounting plates and some of the bolts so have some old paint on them– green and gray. The raised lettering is easy to read. This great door was salvaged from an 1890s Missouri homestead and stables. Multiple horse stall doors are available from this salvage so please check the other many door SIZES and STYLES listed in our store. This door comes with its original old hardware. Original rollers and 6ft of original track with track hangers(see pictures) The rollers and track are in perfect operable condition and will function/roll as expected once reassembled. Since this door is 3ft wide, then 6ft of track allows for the appropriate amount of door travel to open and close. The wood is in ... moregreat condition and has only the patina and flaws expected from a full functioning horse stable door. The door(s) have not been cleaned whatsoever. Therefore barn dust, dirt and cobwebs are seen in the pictures. Will gladly hose down for buyer if requested. The track and hardware show a great patina with only mild surface rust. A local artist has painted some colorful horses on the front(see pictures) but the buyer can appreciated the art or simply paint over them. The door otherwise has a light grey, faded paint on the front, seen under the horses. and on the back it has the original, unfinished frame wood with the vertical door boards painted in a vintage, medium to dark green color. The door is in great condition with the absolute strong integrity of a well built custom stall door. Dimensions: Size of Wooden Door: 35 inches wide. 78 inches tall, 1.5 inches thick, Size of Door Including Rollers: Door is 82 inches tall when adding height of rollers. Antique/Vintage Big 4 National Mfg. Co. Barn Door Rollers & 8' of Track 96 inch
For your consideration is a nice antique pair of"BIG 4" barn door Rollers and Track. The track is made up of one Eight foot cast iron piece with the ends having a male& female puzzle knotch. Track is solid. Rollers pivot and pulley wheels turn well. Nice rust patina throughout. Track had been painted light grey at one time when they re-painted the Barn. This is the real thing not a modern reproduction! This is the last set that I have that was salvaged from a century old barn in Northeast Wisconsin. Elkhart Lake Area. Perfect for any restoration.
