Up for sale is this very attractive. Vintage, Victorian, cast iron and cut glass ceiling light fixture. I would definitely classify this fixture as art nouveau. Rather than deco, due to the smooth flowing lines in its design. It is a three-bulb. Flush mount fixture that is 17 inches in diameter overall. The base and filial are cast iron with a gold finish. This fixture is quite heavy. Weighing just about 12 pounds. The 12 inch diameter bowl is cut glass in a beautiful flowing design. The underside of the fixture says that it was made in Spain. This fixture is in beautiful condition with no signs of rust. I was not able to find another one like it. It is definitely one-of-a-kind. I am a very fast shipper. There is a steel support on the inside of each of the 8 panels, an ornate white metal ceiling cap, a steel piece that the chains hang from, a steel cross bar that the sockets are attached to, and it hangs from 4 ornate steel chains. It has three light sockets in the middle that turn on or off independently. There are tiny holes all the way around the perimeter where prisms originally would hang from. There is also a hook on each of the four(flat) sides(probably a large prism was hanging there) Also, there is a metal ring around the outside of the sockets that connects to the sides, see photo(probably something would hang from that too) This unusual chandelier measures approximately ... more14 1/2" across x 14 1/4" across x 4" high on the sides x 34" long(from the top of the ceiling cap down to the bottom of the middle socket(hangs a little below the sides) The condition is good with no apparent breaks to the metal parts. It definitely needs to be rewired because I tried to connect it to a plug and it blew a breaker. There are some bends to the scalloped trim, where the prisms go, but I'm sure they will bend back. Antique corning milk glass light fixture globe set of 3 vintage diffuser
Up at auction today we are offering a set of three antique light diffusers made by the corning company. They measure 4 7/8" tall. Are 6" in diameter on the bottom, and 2 1/8" on the top lip. Inside the globes it is embossed"corning" and"No. 820090" outside features a"waffle" like pattern all the way around, with a 1" smooth rim around the bottom. 2 of these are pristine-just like new, the third has 1 small chip on the bottom rim that is almost unnoticeable( so much in fact, I tried to get it to show up in pictures with my camera, but you couldn't make it out) These would be great for any restoration effort where authenticity is a must! The original brass Bryant paddle sockets have a patent date of Nov, ... more26 1907. They were taken apart, cleaned and rewired with new UL approved wiring. It measures 15 inches across and the drop is set at 31 inches, it can be adjusted to suit your needs. The original brass plated steel chain was badly rusted so it was replaced with new brass plated steel that is an exact match to the original, it has an antique finish and complements the patina on the rest of the fixture. Also included are a new crossbar and mounting screws plus it comes with a ground wire so it is ready for immediate installation by your electrician. The paint is original and does have some spots where it is missing. Hard to Find Antique Iron Medieval Style Glass Light Lamp Globe Fixture
Rare Antique Circa 1900- 1920 Iron Grated Medieval Style Light Fixture. It looks like a wire would have gone through the top at one time although I am not sure. I have never seen a fixture like this before. The piece comes apart in the middle and is secured by 2 screw in pieces. One is missing but the one will keep the piece it secured fairy well, I think you could find a modern replacement. The glass globe is frosted and is free of any chips or cracks. This is a heavy piece that weighs around 10-12 lbs and measures 12" tall, the base is 6 1/2" in diameter.
