The fixture is made of brass but has a cast iron finial. Is 12" in diameter and the sockets hang down 6 1/2" to where the fitter for the shades are at the bottom of the sockets. The sockets are Weber Fat Boys with paddle key switches. The fixture is being sold as is with the expectation that this item will be refurbished to todays electrical standards by the purchaser. The fixture is in the condition that it was removed with both dirt and paint on it which is mainly around the edge where it was mounted to the ceiling. It comes with the original mounting hardware. It is elaborately detailed. This is a rare find.This fixture has been restored to its former glory. The ugly flaking paint was stripped to the bare metal. Period appropriate paint applied. Plus glazes and two coats of protective clear finish. Flowers, leaves, crowns and shields adorn theses awesome fixtures. Antique frosted milk glass light fixture globe set of 2 vintage diffuser NICE!
Up at auction today we are offering a VERY nice set of two antique milk glass light diffusers. They are bell shaped. Measure 5 3/8" tall, are 4 1/4" in diameter on the bottom, and 2 3/16" on the top lip. Outside of these are a frosted finish, and the inside is glossy finish.They are in excellent condition for globes that are reaching 100 years old! They have no chips or cracks, but each one does have a tiny chip on the upper lip where the screws hold it into the fixture, but when mounted, you cannot see them, nor do they affect their function. They have a beautiful pattern, just look at the photos! Looks like a tulip pattern with round"bumps" around the bottom, with a 2 piece"ridge" then a series of arches, followed by indented ribs running to the top. These are so ornate its hard to describe them, you just ... morehave to study the pictures. These would be great for any restoration effort where authenticity is a must! Will be packed EXTRA heavily! The small globe is about 6" in diameter and about 6" tall. The total height of the chandelier is about 25" It hangs from a chain so you can adjust it some to fit your home. There are a few very small chips along the rim of the large globe where it fits in the metal ring. These do not even show when the globe is in place. This features a wonderful Art Deco Skyscraper shade. The shade is blue opalescent textured glass. It measures approximately 12.5"13" tall and about 11.5" at the widest. The fitter is 6" This shade is in great condition. With no chips of cracks. The bronze fixture is truly beautiful. It is made of a high quality bronze and has a wonderful patina to it. The pictures do not do it justice, it was a bit dusty when I took photos. The ceiling cap, chain and fitter measure approximately 17" When the shade is attached, this fixture will drop approximately 29" from the ceiling.All original parts and it works perfectly as can be seen.
