The shade measures about 12 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The metal components have been sanded and repainted a glossy white. The original Leviton porcelain socket has been rewired and accepts a 150 watt bulb. This amazing light fixture hangs 16 inches from the ceiling. The mounting hardware will be included. Up for Auction! Very pretty Art Deco era 1920's or 30's porcelain Porcelier 3 light ceiling fixture with ornate glass shade. The shade measures 12" in diameter and is 4.5" tall. The fixture measures 4" tall and has a brass bar that extend about 6 more inches. It is 6" in diameter at the base(the side that mounts to the ceiling) All three porcelain sockets are signed"PORCELIER" It is in very nice condition with only two tiny spots of wear to the gold rim as I have shown in the photos. Antique Brass 4 Light Hanging Ceiling Fixture/Chandelier 10" & 3 2 1/4" Fitters
Fixture as you see it is 18" across the 2 closest hanging sockets and 9" tall. There is an additional 16" of hang chain plus 4 3/4" of drop from the ceiling cap. Ceiling cap has some edge roughness and some denting around the rim. This should have 1 large center shade and 3 smaller outer shades. The opening for the large center shade is 10 1/8" The opening for the smaller outside shade is 2 1/2" One of those outer shade holders is missing a set screw-it should have 3 but has only 2. The large center shade is hot wired with no switch. Each of the 3 outer sockets have bakelite paddle switches signed Levington and switches and sockets all work. Wiring has been redone with a short wire coming from the top with a wall plug on it. Where the wire comes together under the large center shade it is just electrical taped ... moreand should have some screw connectors on it then electrical taped again. Since it is metal it should also have a ground wire added. I didn't do the wiring so it needs checked by an expert and might need redone. Fixture has a few small dings-no large dents or cracks. Most everything is non-magnetic except the hang chain and mount inside the ceiling cap. Brass needs cleaned/shined and polished as it does have some black spotting and scratches. Age is 1910 to early 1930's. Up for auction is a set of five antique clear glass bell shaped ceiling fan. Lamp, wall sconce, light fixtures, lamp shades. These shades are a crystal clear glass. Bell shape that has a flared opening. The top opening of the shades have a beaded trim. These are about 1920-30s Depression Glass Shades. The opening of these shades has a pretty beaded design. This trimmed beading varies in size and is not an exact perfect beaded edge. As with depression glass. Sometimes glass pieces are irregular in size and shape. These shades have that very unique characteristic to them. Shades are in good pre-owned condition. With only slight roughness to few of them on outside seam of shade. The last picture shows the worst of this. These shades are a heavy glass and resemble industrial lighting shades. They are small. But could have been used for outdoor ... morelight fixtures. When assembled. This is a very rare 6-bulb configuration lamp. The reverse side of the pieces show a rich, glowing gold color, but there is some light oxidation present to the fronts. Parts for repair/ restoration condition. With amateur assembly using modern(not brass) Leviton bulb holders to be an operating lamp. The main ring is missing two bridges, but they are directly opposite, so it is not a glaring loss, and still presentable. A good conservator can mold copies from the existing sections and restore them seamlessly. The brass fitting at the base of the drop pipe holds the lamp, but is broken, and will need ... morerepair or replacement. The bulbs shown are NOT INCLUDED, and only shown to illustrate operation. Metal with original white and clear glass panels- three panels have etched recessed lettering with original paint(Druggist/Davies/Chemist) Metal has remnants of green and gilt paint. Measures 26" tall x 18" wide x 10 1/2" deep. Would have originally held an oil/kerosene lantern- there is no lantern remaining. There is an old light socket that was put in but it now has a cut cord. Back of sign has a clear glass panel door that opens to gain access inside. I think there would have been an original hanging ring/bracket above the chimney where the old cord is coming out. Antique Porch Light or Post Mount Cage Lamp Fixture Salvage Non Electric
Please enlarge and review the photos carefully so you can get a sense of just how unusual this lamp really is. We acquired it at an architectural salvage auction. I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find another one like it and been unable to do so. It is metal, but I can't guess what kind as it is not terribly heavy for its huge size. I believe it would have been either a porch lamp or a post mounted lamp and may have served to hold either a lantern or a very large candle. It has never been electrified. It would come out almost 12" from wherever it was mounted. The length from the bottom of the ball to the top of the spire is about 19-1/2" The cage part looks like chicken wire. The top lifts up and down and latches so that the lantern or candle can be inserted and/or maintained. The fancy little latch is in ... moreperfect working order. There are no dents and the lamp is actually in very good condition except for the heavy surface rust which has completely overtaken the entire piece. The wire is slightly pushed in. Probably from the lamp having leaned against another object, but it is minor and can probably be easily straightened. I date this piece to the late 1800s or early 1900s. This is an auction piece. Being sold as described, as is. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking, fragrance, cooking, mustiness, mothballs, other types of storage odors or pets. FOR AUCTION IS THIS ANTIQUE CIRCA 1920'S ART DECO DECORATIVE BRASS TWO LIGHT HANGING CEILING FIXTURE WITH ORIGINAL PATINA& PERIOD VERY DECORATIVE HAND PAINTED SHADES. APPROX. 17 INCHES WIDE& APPROX. 26 INCHES LONG WITH CHAIN& CEILING CANOPY. THE FIXTURE HAS TWO ORIGINAL PULL CHAIN SOCKETS AND IS WIRED AND WORKS FINE AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES. THE FIXTURE HAS NEVER BEEN CLEANED& HAS ORIGINAL PETINA BUT WILL CLEAN UP EASY ENOUGH IF YOU WANT IT CLEANED UP. I REPLACED THE CEILING CANOPY WITH ANOTHER BRASS ONE OF THE SAME AGE BECAUSE SOMEONE PAINTED THE OLD ONE BLACK PROBABLY TO MATCH THE CEILING& THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SMALL DINGS ON THE CANOPY. This is a truly beautiful stained glass light fixture. It has wonderful green. Pink, and yellow colors. The shade measures about 18 inches in diameter and has a depth of about 12 inches. The chain is large and has been left with its vintage petina- looks great. The ceiling canopy has a vintage brass patina as well. The glass is all there and is from the 1920's era. There are a few of the pieces with cracks/chips. But, has great presence and displays exceptionally well. The socket housing is vintage and in great condition. This amazing light fixture can be adjusted to hang between 20 and 38 inches from the ceiling(remove chain links to make it 20" The mounting screws are of different color than the bezel. Antique Bronze Double Snake Light Fixture Out of Courthouse
This is one of the most magnificent fixtures I have ever had. I hand carried this from New Zealand. On a plane. So you know how long I have had this! It is bronze with a great patina, it is over 20 inches tall and solid. I took this light fittings out because of weight and it would not have worked in the United States. The shade was wonderful but sadly got broke coming over. It was on the main balister of the court house in New Zealand, for at the least the last 80 years. The shade are in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The fixture-including the shades measures about 14 inches across. All the metal components have a nice antique brass finish. There are three new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs along with all new wiring. This amazing light fixture hangs about 26 inches from the ceiling.
