Antique hardware - vintage - bronze - victorian home - The Convertible Cartlands
This old piece is marked Cartlands Patent The Convertible. We are unsure of the metal it’s made of but it appears to be bronze. The chain is not original. We think it had a cord of some type. From what we can figure. It looks like this device would open and close the window with a corkscrew movement. When laid out flat it measures about 7” long to 9 ½” depending on the screw adjustment. '09 antique INDUSTRIAL SOAP DISPENSER hand KEY LOCK glass GLOBE hardware SOAPURN
For sale is an antique industrial soap dispenser. Like something you might see in the bathroom of an old service station. The maker is"SOAPURN" and it is made in the USA. The earliest patent date on the glass globe is 1909 and the latest is 1917. The entire piece measures about 6.5" from the very top of the globe to the bottom of the dispenser rod. It is also almost 5.5" deep from the wall. The diameter of the globe is about 4" The globe is made of glass and the mount is magnetic. I even see a bubble in the glass which is a testament to it's age! This is a super cool industrial piece but the best part of it is the still intact key which turns a screw into the globe so the globe and contents are locked into place and can't be tampered with. This hollow barrel type key has a square opening that slips into the ... morelocking mechanism wonderfully! Sort of reminds me of a pocket-watch key on steroids! I have seen and sold antique soap dispensers before but I have never seen one with a cool key locking mechanism like this! The entire piece is in very nice shape with typical wear and oxidation from age and use, as pictured. The condition is original. It has not been cleaned. There is some cloudiness to the glass globe and light oxidation on the metal parts. There is one small shallow chip on the base of the globe(see last pic) where it articulates with the different metal parts but this is typical and expected and only visible when removed from the mounting bracket. Finally there are some scratches/scuffing on the metal nipple portion a seen close-up in the 7th picture. Please note that I did not remove the glass globe from the'screw-on nipple dispenser' part. It is on there tight and I did not want to force it. If you choose to try and separate them I would suggest soaking it in warm soapy water for a while. Buyer pays shipping fee based on zip-code. The backplates are pressed brass and the bail handles are cast iron. There appears upon close inspection that there might be some cast brass at end of set screw where bail seats. Large Primitive Antique Industrial Handle Hardware Steel Iron B Mark Steampunk Everything that I am listing this week is from the flea market. And from an auction that we went to. There’s lots and lots of variety, and nifty stuff too- so I hope you enjoy! Here's a rustic antique handle with fabulous industrial style! I have no idea what kind of door it used to be attached to. But it's screwed on to a piece of wood currently. It's made of iron and steel, or just steel- I'm not sure which- but a magnet sticks to all. The only identification is the letter B that is marked on the silver portion of the handle base. The base, as well as the handle itself both have a silver finish. The other hardware does not and you can see a layer of surface rust all over. There's spots of rust on the silver finished parts too, where the finish ... moreis worn down to the metal- the spots are small. There's a"tab" for lack of a better word, on either side of the handle end- they turn around, but I have no idea what there function is. The handle alone measures 7" wide at the base, 4" wide at the handle alone(the finished part) 6 7/8" wide tab to tab, the wood that it's attached to is 9 3/8" long by 1/2" wide, and the handle sticks out 3" from the front of the wood. It weighs just under 1 1/2 lbs. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition- but very rustic with the rust on the steel- please supersize and look at all. The wood shows cracking and wear but is sturdy. I have to say, that's what I love about it though- you can't buy this patina new! Please ask if you have any questions. Set Antique Pocket Door Hardware Locks Plates Pulls
This set of antique pocket door hardware consists of four brass-plated door plates and two locks with brass-plated plates. The locks are operational. Pushing the button in the face causes the pulls to protrude. The lock moves but there is no key. There are some scratches on the door plates from removing several coats of paint mechanically and corrosion in many spots where the plating has been worn through. The lock plates appear to have been scratched through to the steel extensively in past years. See the 3rd picture. The plate on the receiving lock has been bent around the opening where the curved lock shaft engages the plate. The receiving lock is marked Corbin. These door plates measure 2 3/8" x 7 3/4" The lock plates are both 1" x 7 5/8" The backset to the centerline of the key is 2 3/4" The hardware has not ... morebeen recoated.

1800’s Wooden& Cast Steel Ice Skates Leather Strap& Hand Chiseled Strap Holes Each skate was individually hand chiseled; inside the holes you can see the chisel marks. I can’t imagine how long it would have taken to make just one pair of skates. There is also a screw that is drilled through the wooden foot plate coming out at the heel. And two screws in the top plate either side of center. The screws do dual purpose to help hold the skaters boot in place and to attach the steel blade to the foot plate. Only one leather strap has survived the years. The strap has very unusual buckle. And is stamped patented. To show the maker mark I used chalk to make it easier to read.
