Description: This is a WONDERFUL OLD HARDWARE STORE CABINET. It is a 80 drawer oak cabinet from the late 1800s or early 1900s. There are 30 drawers each on the front and back and 10 drawers each on the sides. It is all OAK. There is no makers mark anywhere I can see. 8 of the drawers are replacements, originals probably were lost or broken. There are triple rollers on all 4 bottom corners. small chip off the base as shown, otherwise in pretty good condition for it's age. Measures 28 inches square and stands about 48 inches tall. They are 4 3/4" x 2" have a recessed key well. one is slightly bent at the key hole but looks fine. the other pieces are a left& right insert for the doors edge, one is convex& one concave so that they fit together if the door is closed. they are made by norwalk lock co. the black box is just over 5 1/4" x just over 3" the long bronze front piece is 7 5/8" x 1 1/8" very nice set. original old patina remains, i did not polish them. i do not have the key. usa only. paypal. Hand Painted Antique Hardware Store Double Sided Signs - 1 of 6 Lots Avaialable
These are Hand Painted Double Sided"Aisle" signs. Painted on 3/8" Thick Clear Plywood. You can still see some of the original"saw" marks on the edges as the sign maker cut the shapes out of a sheet of plywood. He then gently scalloped the corners, making all of the sign shapes identical. The signs are large Measuring 48" Long x 8" High. As you can see some were lost to time, but these were rescued before the old lumber yard and hardware store was demolished. The old lumber yard opened it's new metal& masonry building in 1959 when these would have been installed. As it isn't a set so they will be sold individually. They are in terrific shape for their age 50+ Years old. I'm not claiming they are perfect, please judge by the pictures. Some have minor scratches or goo left behind from a old ... morepromotional sticker or sale, but they are in very, very strong condition. The background paint is bright white and the items found in the Aisle on the sign is rich glossy black. The Ailse number is painted in a bright red. The sign work/ painting is just top of the mark, this one one seriously talented guy that made these signs. Each sign has hanging cup hooks on the top of the sign as they were hung up on chains over the indivudal aisles, This sale is ONLY for the"PLUMBING" sign. Now because these are so big it is going to make shipping a challeage and a little expensive. But what I will do is give you a rate once I can go to the USPS calculator. The closer the Zip code to me, the cheaper the shipping, the farther the more it costs. The price I am adding for shipping is NOT TO EXCEED figure. Antique Trunk Hardware Heavy Solid Brass Trunk Lock w/ Key by Hillebrand& Wolf. Lock plate measures 3 1/4 by 4 1/2. Hasp measures 3 3/4 by 3 3/4. This lock has a very rare locking mechanism. It is one of the few trunk locks that will lock without using the key. This is accomplished by a spring loaded locking pin. However. Whats more unusual than that, is what can be called a safety latch. Inserting the hasp into the lock, locks the trunk, but you can use the key to turn the latch even more, which is a secondary locking position. This made it harder for thieves to pick the lock. 2 very similar wheat handle Norfolk thumb latches with parts. The latches are 7 1/2" and 8" long. The handles have a bold wheat motif center section- The only difference in the handles is that one is mounted upside down from the other one- The latch bars are period and are 6" long The thumb piece is period on one latch and is 2 3/8" long. The thumb piece on the other one is a replacement and is 4" long. The keepers and staples are period-possible earlier than the latches. Up for sale is a one of a kind absolutely beautiful 16 drawer apothecary cabinet with original hardware this looks really stunning displayed and has a tremendous amount of character. It brings great eye appeal to any area and has great functional purpose there is a screw missing and 2 knobs are missing glass it is in good condition and with a little work it will be in exceptional shape. I personally love it how it stands. Antique Cottage Chest Original Paint And Hardware- Exquisite!!
I can't even communicate how beautiful this chest is! All the painting you season the top. Sides, and front of the chest, is original! It needs a good wax job and a few spots need touch up on the edges- but it's so magnificent! It's great for an office. Bedroom, your cottage, or a nursery! It measures about 40" w x 18" d x 29" h. There is one drawer pull that is missing in the photos on the bottom left drawer- but I HAVE IT! The 3rd photo shows the colors far brighter than they truly are. I really prefer a LOCAL PICK-UP.
