These adorable quilt blocks are all HAND-PIECED and each flower is approx. 11 inches across. They are typical 1950's-75's dress and apron fabrics prints. Orchid. Yellow, Purple, green, pink, blue, etc. are just some of the colors. All have a pale yellow center. There are Fussy Cut prints to center the design, florals, and solids etc. These blocks lie flat. Good vintage condition with no spots or stains. There are 13 Flowers(11 inches across) without the white hexes shown on the wall in the first pix There are 14 blocks joined together as in pix#4 and some 7 loose blocks as shown in pix#5 with the white yardage separate and cut hexagons. Primitive Antique Ovoid Stoneware Jug Blue Cobalt Floral Garden Collectible
Primitive Antique Stoneware Jug Old estate find in New England. This is a nice wide Ovoid Shape Stoneware Jug with blue cobalt decoration. applied handle and early glaze. The jug is in good condition but the handle was broken at one time and repaired. It was broken up at the top and at the lower end- see pictures. I think a better repair could be done. There are some glazing flaws and marks from when it was made. Even with the handle crack it is still in good primitive antique condition. Displays nicely. Jug measures about 13" tall. It measures approximately 67" by 82" The patterned hexagon pieces are about 1-1/4" wide. All hand sewn. NO machine work. ... moreThe hexagon insides are thick or stuffed. Like raviolis(being a dumb guy, I don't know what you call this) The back and front between the patterns is an off-white or light cream color. From one family. It was owned by the Grandmother of the older woman I'm selling it for. The stitching is strong with NO ripped seams. NO holes or rubbed down areas. The coloring is nice and the fabric is NOT dry or brittle. The edges are not rubbed down or split. NO nasty mold or musty basement smells. There's a 3/4" tear on a small front white hexagon piece. The front has ten tiny tan/brown spots ranging from 1/8" to 1" With most being smaller. The back has eleven tiny tan/black spots ranging from 1/8" to 1/2" with most being smaller. These spots aren't a big deal and are expected with age, but I wanted to mention it. From one family. This quilt has been kept well over the years and will display nicely. This is a great duo from the 1930's: 100 fan blocks and 54 flower garden blocks. All the fabrics are vintage 30's cottons. Maybe 30's- 40 for the flower garden blocks. All hand pieced, vintage feedsacks and cottons. All the fans have peach bases and 7 rectangles in a 6" fan. All the seams are neatly pressed and they are in excellent condition. Really well made. Will make a great quilt. The flower garden blocks all have a yellow center hexagon and then a print row and a solid color cotton row. lovely old prints and cottons. All hand sewn and in great contiion. I did find one pink flower with some light soiling and a few need to be pressed. but no holes or damage. The stains are very faint. the hexagons are 1.25" and a block is 7" I have sorted them by color: 15 pink 12 blue 7 green 6 white 4 purple 3 lavender 2 violet ... more1 yellow and also 1 that might have been intended for a humility block as it has a yellow center. This is signed in the bottom right hand corner. It features a cottage landscape scene with arbor and garden in the foreground. It appears that the frame and paper backing are original to this piece as well. The painting measures approximately 12" x 16" in size. Antique 1885 Small School Desk Grand Rapids MI with Ink Well!! Garden Bench #5
Up for bid is a very nice Antique School Desk. This is a small one only 24 inches tall and is in excellent condition. It comes with the original ink well cover which is extremely rare! There is a lot of markings on the cast iron frame which include"Grand Rapids Mich. Pat. Sep 22, 1885" 5" 5 or 6R" Due to it's size I took the desk apart so shipping could be affordable. Only 6 screws took this desk completely apart so it will be very simple to put back together. While taking it apart the seat separated at one of the seams. I glued it back together and it shouldn't be an issue. If you just want the cast iron frames I can ship just them for you at a lower cost. NICE ANTIQUE FRENCH SUNDIAL, 12" CAST ALUMINIUM HEXAGONAL GARDEN ORNAMENT
A nice antique French hexagonal sundial. Made of cast aluminium, dating from the 1920s/30s. This is a horizontal sundial with a decorative gnomon. Roman numerals and points of the compass. It has a plaque at the bottom which is in French but is quite worn and hard to read, also a date of 1805. It measures 12" across and the gnomon is 5" high. It has a lovely aged verdigris patination and overall is in good antique condition. This nice quality antique sundial would look fabulous in any garden setting. Here are 5 gorgeous antique. Metal(zinc or tin I think) hardware embellishments up for bid! These 5 are very old-early 1900's at least-and had been a part of something, maybe a chandelier or other decorative item. Each one is a piece of flat, stamped metal, measuring 5 3/4" long X 1" wide; there is a hole on one end and a smaller, round stamped hole on the other end; some of these smaller holes are not stamped all the way through. Each piece is in USED condition with WEAR and a bit of corrosion. These look like they were supposed to be feathers or leaves. These pieces are very unique& beautiful! Antique Granite Trough Japanese zen garden planter stone water basin fountain
Hi this'buy it now auction' is for 1 Antique Granite trough. This stone trough measures close to 40"s long by approximately 18" wide. 11" high and has roughly an 6.5"+-inside depth. The trough is in very nice condition and has a drain hole in the bottom side, there was another drain hole in the bottom middle but has been plugged as seen in the pictures. We occasionally find more these but they are becoming quite scarce. Originally used on farms for feeding animals. This beautiful item now makes an excellent garden planter, accent piece or water feature. Antique Garden of the Gods (Oct. 4 1914) Limestone Souvenir, Colorado Springs
Up for auction is an antique souvenir from Garden of the Gods. Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is limestone(I believe) and carved into the front is"Garden of the Gods Oct. 4, 1914. I am uncertain as to what the"sculpture" is. perhaps one of the limestone features/monuments of the park. On the top the initials"JLR" and"SAR" are carved. There is a carved-out hole in the top that goes down about 1-1/4 inches(1-1/16 inch diameter) It stands approximately 2-1/4 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. It is quite heavy. It is a beautiful piece of carved work, nearly 100 years old! The condition appears very good to me(please see photographs) A lovely historical souvenir! Happy Bidding!
