These absolutely gorgeous 3 section antique quartersawn oak Victorian era doors with fabulous etched glass windows with all the bells and whistles when it comes to fine exquisite antique etched glass. Like it's cartouches and swags in the corners and across the tops above the three Dutch scenes across the bottom, each individual but they work together, like the doors, drawn in by their border designs. This old glass appears to be in very good condition, intact and free of any cracks, chips or hairlines. The paneled oak doors are solid and in very nice condition on both sides, and protected across the bottom on each side by an attached wood kick board on both sides of each of the three doors. They are designed with built in hinges as shown in close up and they do have the old hardware, also as shown. The scenes one the etched glass are ... morevery detailed and simply exquisite. On one side a woman and child watch a boy in a rowboat with a windmill in the background. In the center it appears the boy in the rowboat has reached the windmill and he sits playing with a toy sailboat. On the other side pane, there is a woman with a flower basket, with a windmill and another out building in the background. There is an interesting border design with cartouche's in the outside corners across the bottom of the three scenes and across the top of the three tree sprays which show the three panes come together as one picture, as in one doors. These three doors are each 108 inches tall and are 27 1/4 inch wide and 1 3/8's inches thick. These are gorgeous formidable sturdy old Victorian doors, ready for use and as a decorative highlight in any large Victorian sized home which can accomodate their size. 19" high beautiful and rare folding Japanese lacquer ware corner wall shelf in good antique/vintage condition. Inlaid mother of pearl in a couple places, beautiful Japanese painted scenes- Mt Fuji, Temple, boat, trees, mill, house- tassel handled doors with decorative silver colored hinges that work great(one of tiny nails is missing) the middle shelf seems to have a chunk out of it though it is black and so less noticeable, a few chips, scuffs, shallow surface cracks that do not affect the integrity of the piece, surface dull in some places and some places with wear to surface as would be expected. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: The doors are not equipped ... morewith any hardware. However. This door has a great framed window opening that is 28in wide by 18in tall. The rollers and track are in perfect operable condition and will function/roll as expected once reassembled. Three salvaged doors with leaded glass windows, cabinet, antique, shabby/chic
Three antique cabinet doors with leaded glass panes. The paint is weathered and distressed. The window panes are mix of clear glass and strips of glass that have a fern-like pattern etched into them. Two the doors have cracks in one one of the narrow panes across the narrow way. One door has two spots with cracks. They're hard to see because they blend in with the etched pattern and do not damage the integrity of the windows. The lead strips are sturdy. I used the doors for many years on a rustic display cabinet I built out of lumber. Each door is about 13 inches wide and 36 inches tall. In the happy event that you live near Wyandotte. Besides Door#3 which has a solid Douglas Fir core covered with 1/8" oak veneers, each door is made of either solid Douglas Fir, heart pine, or white pine. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of ... moreyears old have. I've see these referred to as Cass brand. But this one isn't marked so I can't be sure. This is a great size for a number of antique dolls. It's perfect to store dolly's tea sets.
