Kentucky Primitive style Solid Walnut Corner Cabinet Cupboard 4 Doors Antique
Normal 0 I had this lovely huge piece of furniture made for me when I was in Kentucky in 1984. I commissioned a retired woodworker who was about 70+ years old at the time and he lived near Clinton. KY.for the life of me, I can't remember his name but his work is some of the the best wood craftsmanship I have ever seen. I brought him a picture in Country Living magazine of a corner cabinet that I wanted and he made it to the exact specs. I was more than thrilled to see it when he finished. I moved to New Mexico in 1993 and this has been with me every since. I am downsizing and really have to have this beautiful cabinet sold as it is no longer a piece that I need. It is large and heavy and takes 2-3 men to move it. The doors. Drawer and top(dental work carving top) can be removed. The front and partial sides are made of solid walnut. Thick ... moregrade. It will hold a large TV.that is what I had it made for years ago when the TV's had a"bubble back" The far back sides which are out of view are made of Walnut thick grade plywood. This cabinet is still in remarkable condition even after being in the New Mexico dry weather all these years. The only things I should point out are minor but nonetheless I want to inform you. I drilled a hole(about 1 inch) in the far back middle and lower to accept the tv plug(you can see the holes in the pictures) and also at the rear of the top shelf there is a small hole drilled so that I could connect the tv to the VHS player. Also. The bottom side piece of walnut molding came off and I screwed it back in although there are no visible screw holes anywhere in this cabinet. The doors(lower and upper) have about a 1/4" gap of space between them. It may have been like this all along and you can probably decrease that space by adjusting the hinges. It's certainly nothing detracting but I just want you to know all that I see with the cabinet.

The oak frames are in good shape. 2 hinges need to be replaced. They measure 38.75 inches wide together. 33.25 tall and are 1.25 inches thick. The glass only is approximately 16 by 28.5 each. This is a Vintage Antique Kennedy Kits Tool Box made in Chicago IL USA with Double Opening Doors and Three Latches. The box is black in color. Has a leather wrapped handle but the leather is peeling off. The latches all work but there is no key to this to lock it. This is a cool looking Antique tool box and has that great rustic look for display I'd say that it has to be close to 100 years old. There are wooden dividers added in the bottom of this and were attached with nails through the sides and bottom. This box does have dents and scratches all over it so its rough. SUPER PAIR CARVED ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OAK ICE BOX DOORS ORNATE HINGES + HANDLE
This is a pair of oak doors from a Victorian era ice box made by the Challenge Corn Planter Co. of Grand Haven MI. It has carved panels and very nice brass hardware. They measure 25 3/4" wide combined c 19 1/4" high x 2 3/8" deep. They need to be refinished as you can see. The center mullion is broken and most likely needs to be replaced. The grain is raised some more so on the right side of the left hand door, there is a close up photo attached. The zinc backs are all in good condition, overall they are solid but need a new finish. We also have the top lid or door from this same ice box listed as well as the original brass makers tag. Wonderful old Tavern saloon doors. Looks like several layers of paint over the years, original hardware, one is missing from each. Purcahsed from an antique store in Kentucky. Owner said these were salvaged from the Old Talbott Tavern renovation. In my research they do have the same architechural style of the doors in the old Tavern. Great for any doorway. These are great looking complete doors with a painted white finish with a beautiful patina. The ends mate properly. Therefore there is no warping. The paint appears to be only one layer thick, so stripping and re-finishing to reveal the butternut wood would be easily done. Lot of Ten (10) Antique Glass Door Knobs for Crafts or Doors - Various Types
This auction is for a Lot of Ten(10) Antique Glass Crystal Door Knobs of Various Types for Crafts or Doors. Most of the knobs are in good condition but have some degree of discoloration of the internal geometric design and could be used for doors. Some have nicks. Small scuffs, scratches or loose casings. The swirl knob has a shallow chip that is about 1/2 inch by 3/8 inch. Three have connecting rods attached. I included two so that door knob sets could be put together if you want. One has a rod that I could not get off. The knobs do not come with set screws. The knobs when carefully packed will weigh about 5-6 pounds but they will fit in a medium USPS flat rate box. The knobs that are shown are the knobs that you will receive. Because the knobs do have defects they are sold as is with no return. Pair antique fancy open scrollwork design nickel plated cast iron stove doors?
I am not really sure what this neat antique pair of cast iron doors is from or for. They are nickel plated on cast iron and look to be possibly something from a fancy antique iron stove but not sure. They have a nice fancy open scroll design and the doors fit inside a frame that has depressions on back side for the swivel rods to fit into and mounting holes so you would screw or bolt the frames to something that would have a hole large as the door but the material it was mounted to would capture the door so it couldn't fall out. I don't know if the doors would have swung in or out. There is a little protruding shaft or knob at bottom to grab or push the door. I assume it would have hung with the knobs at bottom and hinge part at top otherwise it would have fallen open by itelf. The overall size of the frames at widest part of designs ... moreis about 6 x 9" and the door itself is approx. 4-1/2" x 5" I can't see any markings or names anywhere so no idea what brand or model of item these were off of. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can positively identify them. Might be from something completely different than a stove. One has all three of the mounting bolts and one is missing 2 of them. They have quite of the original nickel plating but as you can see they have a good bit of surface rusting also. Not pitted real bad and no structural problems and no cracks or damage of any kind other than the rusting. Still look neat and could be cleaned up but have nice patina. If you can't use them for whatever their original use was. Would still make neat items for a project or to repurpose.
