Lot of 8 Antique Brass Door Knobs Hourglass Plates Lock Small Victorian Hardware
Up for auction is this fantastic lot of antique door hardware. I believe these were for smaller door and are solid brass. 8 knobs are for sale. 2 lock ends, 7 plates, and 3 mortise locks. They were used in a house for around 100 years so they do show use including small dings and paint on most knobs. One knob has a lot of dings on the front. The plates were completely painted at one point so one side on most plates are completely covered. The knobs are 1 7/8" wide and only.5" deep. The plates are approximated 5 1/4" The mortise locks are 3 3/4" tall(lock plates are 5 3/4" Please contact me with any questions.

Antique Victorian Yale Solid Brass Swirl Door Set Oval Beaded Plates/Knobs/Lock. This magnificent set is by Yale and Towne with oval plates 7" x 2 1/2" with oval beaded knobs measuring 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" and steel lock(original to set) meas 5 1/2" x 1" What makes this set so unusual and highly desirable is that although solid cast brass plates and knobs. There is still quite abit of the original copper plate over the brass remaining. With the remaining copper plate and the underlying brass this combination leaves what is called a"swirl" finish which is rare and quite beautiful as a patina. The pieces are not lacquered or varnished and though polished to a higher luster they will oxidize to a dark patina or can be kept in desired luster with light hand polish. LOT 9 VINTAGE ANTIQUE FULL MORTISE DOOR LOCKS and Plates
There are 9 OLD mortise door locks. 5 work and 4 do not but if you are handy you may be able to open these up and oil them or fix them with parts from the other non working locks. The front of the locks measure from 2 ¾” tall to 6” tall. Several locks are marked. Skillman, Sargent and Co. easy spring and RHG. The 5 locks on the left work and the 4 ones on the right do not. The 4 door plates measure 3 ½” tall to 4 6/8” tall. These were taken from a very old house so have paint and some rust on them. Please read my item’s description and compare it to the item’s picture. Antique Brass Bronze Door Furniture Plates(2) Engraved 1887 w/ H Scroll Markings. These were found in my dad's garage. Stacked together with a few other like items which I am listing separately. They are 6 3/4" in length and 3" in height and about 3/16" thick. They both appear to be the same with like markings. The"H" appears to be scratched or scrolled and is likely the maker's mark. The 1887 is stamped and is likely the date. One is a little more clear than the other as detailed in pictures. I am not sure if this is a door piece(2 fronts) or possibly furniture(front/back) they show age and that they were stored stacked together. No attempt to clean has been made. As is, as found. It seems a little bit like Victorian rosettes around the top and bottom emblems. The back of them have a diamond logo that is very hard to read.There is a" D' in the middle but then like an inverted hankerchief there are symbols(numbers/ letters) on each of the four sides. I think its 2 U C 9? These are incredible rare treasures right at your doorstep! ... moreIn elegant Victorian and Art Nouveau style. This Green Man door plate brings his'Spirit of the Forest' magic to bless your abode! His motif is central to the piece and flowers and leaves with beautiful scroll designs grace the cast bronze visage. There are places where the bronze has worn. These were made in the late 1800's and has British registry and the diamond on the reverse side are their foundry marks. I cannot really read the registry mark but it seems both almost same. On a similar matching style door knocker. The foundry mark pointed to the work of James Collins of Birmingham but it seems these are a little bit different although I was happy to see someone else having something like what I have after 3 years trying to find. The condition of these bronze plates are very good for this 100+ year find, with natural aging and wear. Also looks like a cat face but the feet are webbed? Antique pair of brass door back plates with handle and thumb latch
This is a pair of antique brass door back plates with the handle and thumb latch. They have a nice arts and crafts style stippled backing plate. The plates are 9 inches high and 2 3/8 inches across. The screws in the back are 5 13/16 inches apart. The back plates are identical but one has been clean and relacquered and one is in its original condition. The hardware is not marked but other pieces that came with them were made by Clinton Lock Co. of Clinton. IA and that company may have made these as well. These date to 1900 or before.

Offered are 2 MATCHING ANTIQUE DOOR PUSH PLATES. I have not cleaned them as many people prefer the old patina. I'm not an expert on the metal. I thought they were copper but the embossing has a golden glow. They may be bronze or a combination of metals. ANTIQUE. used. NOT CLEANED.They have very little use marks and have a nice Patina. I don't know the material. They have a copper glow in the center flat part. The EMBOSSED DESIGN has a bronze glow. The backs are dark with the copper color showing through in places. Size is 10 inches X 2 3/4 inches. They are not solid but are pressed metal. Each one weighs 6 ounces. I HAVE TRIED TO DESCRIBE ACCURATELY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. PLEASE CONTACT ME. Vintage/Antique 1 Door Lever w/Set Screw, 2 Back Plates, & 1 Mortise Set
This is Very Old but the Mortise Works and Lever Turns! It's worthy of restoration but it has old mechanical residue on it. It needs clean-up& small amount of paint removal to make it shine. The locking switch on one back-plate does not turn. But some soaking in Loctite might loosen it up. This set includes one Door Lever with original set-screw. Two 1 1/2" x 4" Back-plates, and one working 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" working Mortise Box. It would be good for an inside bathroom or closet door. A superb pair of French Chateau gilded solid brass door/finger plates(Plaque de Proprete) dating 1880s We have had many French door plates over the years. But these are full of chateau charm. They have a rounded top and bottom. Still with their gilding intact& with an acanthus leaf and flower design in relief and the background in smooth matt gilding. Purchased by ourselves from a large Chateau near to us in the Val de Loire we have made no attempt to clean or polish them. Just perfect to enhance any period door. Easily fitted with 4 locating holes to each plate. With key and handle hole. Length 12& ½ inches(32 cm) Width 2& 1/8 inches(5.5 cm.
