I have a lot of antique keyhole and door knob cover plates for your consideration. There are 14 ornate hard to find plates and patterns in this lot. These are made of pressed steel and are of various designs and sizes. The two matching ornate pair in upper left corner in first pic are heavy pressed brass. Others are heavier pressed steel. Nice lot for that hard to find vintage repair or replacement. Nice mixed lot for the creative repurpose art mind as well. Condition of Jappaned finish on these plates range from fair to good.Specific questions regarding any pieces. Please inquire before bidding other wise what you see is what you get. This is a rare 100 year old package up for auction. We've been in the demolition business since may 2004. Salvaging on average between 150-200 houses per year. We have an extremely large amount of antique hardware of all kinds that is slowly being sold on this site. In all of our projects we have only come across these particular sets one time. Even throughout this site there are very few"antique" Sargent& Co. items. If what other sellers on here are asking just for the Sargent mortise locks are the average price. Then what i am offering is a bargain. Anyway. Included in this package are: 4(2 sets of) octagon glass door knobs. All have been cleaned from any dirt or paint and are in decent condition with no chips. There are a couple of minor scratches that i've tried to highlight in the last 2 pics. What makes these so ... morerare is that they are rounder at the top. Where as most are flat. 2 Sargent& Co.Easy Spring mortise locks.each measure at 4 3/8" long x 3 1/8" wide. They have a brass face that measures at 6 9/16" long. 4 solid brass Sargent& Co. back plates.each measure at 7 1/8" long x 2 1/2" wide. 2 solid brass strike plates(much thicker and heavier than the average plate)each measure at 4 1/4" long x 1 1/8" wide and 1 13/16" at the widest part. included as well are the original slot head screws.all but the biggest 4 are brass. Assortment of four antique door knob plates. These were all sand-blasted clean. With most of the paint removed. Please see photos for condition. In the one at the very left in the first photo, some of the metal has small indentations like something ate away at it a bit. The rest do not have those indentations but have some discoloration and a few scratches as can be expected from a vintage piece. Great for upcycling and/or adding some antique pieces to your home! Set Baroque 1800s Door Plates Knobs Solid Cast Bronze Very Nice Antique Patina
These 2 door plates and matching 2 door knobs have the old patina that cannot be replicated. Only years and years of dust. Hands touching, weather and climate can create this kind of aging or patina. These items are very old but the truth is that I don't know exactly how old- maybe they are early 20th Century or they are 19th Century. The condition is very good- there is no damage- there are no screws included. But the square rod that connects the two knobs to each other is included. Each plate measures 11 5/16" long. The metal is solid bronze- not plated.

A nice pair of old brass door plates for Skeleton key style door hardware. Total of 6.5" tall. 1.25" wide at the bottom, 2 1/8 wide at the widest point. 5.5" between the center of the two mounting holes. 1.5" from the bottom of the door knob hole to the top of the key hole. Have not attempted to clean these plates, will leave that to the buyer if you want. The pair weigh in at 2.5 ounces. Have another set of these plates to be listed, and some other old door hardware. Lovely vintage antique Victorian door set with gorgeous patina solid heavy bronze pair of door knobs and door plates which are in the classic ornate Yale& Towne"Egg& Dart" pattern. The entry way large plate measures 8 1/2" long and 2 3/2" wide and the inside plate measures 6 1/2" long by 2 1/4" wide. Of course there is old age light wear such as light surface scratches. Slight ding on larger plate, expected wear for 100 year old door set. Vintage Antique Set Interior Nickel Plated Door Knobs And Plates By Yale & Towne
This is a set of Vintage Antique Set Interior Nickel Plated Door Knobs And Plates By Yale& Towne. They are in very good condition as seen in the photos. These came from the Westminister House along Moss Avenue in Peoria. The plate set measures 7" tall X 2 1/2" wide. The knobs measure 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" and all are nickel plated brass marked with the Yale& Towne logo. This set would date from 1900. From the 35 Year Anniversary History of the Moss Bradley Assn: In 1901 Architect William Reeves built a home for his family on Moss Avenue just west of Malvern Lane. It was the second of three that he constructed for himself in the vicinity. It is boldly geometric in volume. Antique Pair Y&T Yale & Towne Town Bronze Door or Back Plates
This is a wonderful pair of matching Yale& Town door plates in solid bronze with a rich patina. Probably from the Edwardian period(circa 1907) They measure 9.5" from top to bottom. And 2.5" side to side. They have the egg and dart design around the perimeter of the plate. Both are marked Y&T on the back. They would be wonderful for a restore or just to add a little elegance in any room. I try to describe my items as well as possible. If an item is materially different than listed.
