Antique old vintage door hardware Pexto Mortise Lock with skeleton Key L24
Mortise lock has a face plate of 7/8' wide x 5 1/4' tall. 3 1/4' deep. Comes with one tested and functional skeleton key. I test the key multiple times on both sides of the lock to insure fit and function. The strike bolt can be reversed for doors that swing the other way. Made by Pexto circa 1920s, possibly ealier. Russwin Mortise lock has a face plate of 1 ¼” wide x 8' tall. 3 7/8' deep. Comes with Three tested and functional keys and 4 brass screws. I tested the keys and the push buttons of the lock multiple times to insure fit and function. This is a 1909 working antique lock, not a newer made in China version. It has pat. Dates on it of Jan. 3. 1907. Aug. 31. 1909, and Oct. 26. 1909 The beautiful door knob goes on the inside and turns to open the door whether it is looked or unlocked. No key is needed for the inside. The brass ring goes on the outside of the door to pull it shut(the ring does pivot to hang down) The door unlocks with the key. Using the push buttons on the face you can have the door open only ... moreby turning the key or by turning the ring. One push button locks the turning of the ring and the other push button would unlock it. The key cylinder is adjustable to fit the thickness of the door. This is steel and solid brass and is a very heavy lock. The keys say Russwin. Made in the USA. I showed a picture of how the door knob goes thru the door. The shaft unscrews near the middle of it. The part that the ring goes on looks like it has to be cut to length once the thickness of the door is determined. I have a nice antique craftsman period door rim lock for your consideration. This is an original authentic period lock from the 20's made of cast brass in the arts and crafts design. Lock box has a screw on rear for servicing and slide engages and disengages locking mechanism in box. Drive rod engages and disengages latch slide. Spring feels ok for latch. Comes with all original parts except a few of the screws are not original. The 7 longest. That I included, for the box installation and catch plate. The brass set screws for the knob and handle appear to be original as well as the screws for the door knob backplate. This is a set of 12 antique Victorian brass hinges. They are very old looking and have a bit of a gothic feel to them. They are 5" long and 1 3/4" wide. They are tarnished and a bit dirty and some of the hinges are a little stiff but I am sure they will polish and clean up very nicely. Measures 80 inches tall. 29-7/8 inches wide, and 1-3/8 inches thick. Door was a pass through from an office area to an inside warehouse area; removed just a month ago. This is a large lot of 30 assorted vintage brass and metal hardware pieces. Several of the pieces are marked as being brass but others are not and may only be a brass finish. Please read my description and use the photos as your guide. Most of the pieces are ornate drawer pulls. But there is also a very old front door handle and one antique hinge. Here's what's included: One antique brass door hinge(actually half a hinge) with the inscription"Pat(patent) June 24. 1879. It has an ornate design(see photos) and three screw holes. No screws are included. On the back it says"3 x 3 L" It is quite heavy weight. Beautiful period piece with some loss of finish on the back. It measures 3" tall. The mounting plate is 1 1/4" wide and 1 7/16" wide including the pin hole. Needs cleaning. One large. Heavy brass door ... morehandle in very good shape but with some dull finish and mounting screws taped on the handle with masking tape. Measures approx. 11 7/8" long and 3" wide at the widest point. Has a 2 1/4" diameter hole(for knob or lock/latch? and three screw holes. From the top mounting hole to the bottom one measures approx. 10 3/8" Top to middle mounting hole approx. 3 3/16" From middle to bottom mounting hole is 7 1/8" There are two other items that I'm including.don't know if they go with the door handle or not. Striker plate 2 1/4" high x 1" wide. Two screw holes 1 5/8" on center. No screws included. Also includes a small brass L shape bracket. Unknown what this is for or if it goes with the door handle. See photos. Set of 6 heavy brass drawer pull handles. Approx. 6 7/8" long and 2 3/8" wide. Screw holes are 5" apart on center. The backside of the handles is inscribed in raised letters"Keeler Brass Co. c N12391. All appear to be in very good shape. With tarnish and some loss of finish. Vintage Old Antique Metal Cast Iron 1860s MW & Co Hardware Door Lock Assembly
Welcome to Entirely Apropos! For consideration is an old vintage door lock assembly piece by MW& Co. Patented: 1869 and 1873- stamped on piece. The box measures 3" x 3 ½" ½ deep. The strip on the end is about 5 ½" long. 3/4" wide. Weighs almost a pound. This shows age with paint that has chipped off and rust. It will need some restoration and repair. Antique Georgian George III Brass Iron Door Hardware Spring Latch 18th century
A lovely 18th c. Georgian brass spring latch for an interior door or cabinet. With two brass Chippendale handles that turn to open and close an iron latch that is paint decorated in an old surface- tan mustard. The brass handles are also used on fine furniture including mahogany wine buckets. The brass handles measure 2 1/8" across and the iron back plate 4" x 4 1/8" When you include the extension of the lock it's 5" x 4" Good condition. Period hardware of this quality is rare.
