Antique Large Gothic Hardware Door Pull With Thumb Lever Push Design!
This is a very large heavy cast door pull in gothic design with a thumb push lever. It has ornate gothic designs on the back plates and the handle has a hammered surface. Top to bottom the whole piece is 12 1/4" long. The pull handle is 6" long by 1 1/8" wide. Just the lever push alone is 1 7/8" by 1" wide. I put it on the scale to see just how heavy and it weighed 1pound 13.2 ounces. There is some surface weigh but nothing unexpected and it might need a polish but it is rather clean just how it is! I have two exceptionally beautiful cast bronze ornately patterned Victorian Eastlake period door lock back plates and one matching handle. These are original authentic period hardware pieces. Designed for use with thumb latch mortise lock. Plates show beautifully an ornate floral geometric pattern in rich bronze or brass color. These will clean up to a brilliant shine if wanted. Some minor dings and scuffing consistent with there age. Measure 11 1/2 x 2 3/16 inches. Manufacturer marking on back X08186. Thumb latch and handle show more wear than plates. I have a nice matching lot of six old cast iron mortise locks for your consideration. Face plates measure 5 1/4 x 7/8 inches. Box(mortise cut) is 3 1/4 deep x 3 5/8 high x 1/2 inch wide. All marked with a star and numbers. two 1's two 2's and two 4's. There are 3 right swing and 3 left swing for flexibility of application. I opened one of the boxes and it was in nice condition. Springs all seem good for reuse as well. There are no keys for the deadbolt slide lock. You will have to have one made or find one that fits. Nice quality vintage lot of locks for your replace. An antique door rim lock that appears to be hand-made. I am not a hardware collector. But I had someone who was knowledgeable of old hardware look at it. I am only passing along what I was told, but do not guarantee it. He told me that it was an old rim lock that was probably hand made of iron and probably dated to the first part of the 19th century and maybe even into the 18th century. He also thought it was American made. He also said that it was probably removed from the wood and cleaned. The wooden part measures about 9" by 4 1/2"by 1 1/4" The metal or iron portion measures about 5 1/2" by 3 1/2" by 3/4" The wooden portion has 3 holes where it was used to mount to the door and the metal portion has 2 small holes for mounting to the wood(and the holes are also in the wood corresponding to the metal) I feel ... morepretty confident that the lock belongs to the piece of wood even though it is no longer secured to it. The skeleton key was found with the lock and the lock still works(though not well and the key gets stuck and has to be wiggled and worked to get back out of the hole) Please email with any questions. Main deadbolt slide does not have a key although does look intact for when you either have one made or find one that works. Drive gear is a standard 1/4 in drive and turns smoothly for disengagement of latch from iron catch. Included are a standard 1/4 inch drive. Vintage/Antique Brass Door Handle & Plate W/Locking Mechanism Hardware
A vintage.antique solid brass door handle and plate w/locking mechanism. The brass is as previously cleaned and has started to assume a nice patina. The back is not cleaned. The plate measures 4 3/8" long X 1 9/16 wide. The locking mechanism works if the handle is in the neutral position that you need to move from back. I believe the arm in the back needs to be between the two pins on handle plate in the back. The pin below the handle on the front is probably a screw. I did not want to damage the finish to see. UP FOR ACTION: Antique"Eulalia" Pattern. Bronze, Matched Door Knob Set. Manufactured by the Reading Hardware Co. Reading, PA, Circa 1895. This rare set is not the traditional round knob. Both door knobs are matched, with aged patina, and have a flat, yet decorative edge to the face. The center is indented with a swirled, leaf-like design, which is raised and can be felt to the touch. The outside perimeter is press out, an 1/8" from the center, having a border of a half braid-like affect. The diameter measures 2 3/16" and the outside edge(where you would grasp the knob to turn it) is 3/4" deep. It has a good solid grip when attempting to turn the knob. One side has the original set screw, one is missing. This"Eulalia" pattern has a great look with smooth wearing from years of service. Mortise lock has a face plate of 7/8' wide x 5 1/8' tall. 1/8' thick. Lock is 3 1/4' deep. Has a heavy duty aluminum face plate. Comes with one tested and functional skeleton key. I test the key multiple times on both sides of the lock to insure fit and function. The strike bolt can be reversed for doors that swing the other way.
