Antique pocket door pull hardware art deco style engraving
This beautifully made antique pocket door pull came from an estate where there was major tonnage of architectural relics. I did a mild soap and water cleaning of it. But made no effort to polish or scrub it for fear of removing patina. This item measures 4& 1/2" long and 2& 1/8" wide. It has detailed etching on it reminiscent of the Art Deco style of long ago. There are many alternate creative uses for this item It could be recessed-mounted on a wall to produce a small shrine or picture frame, or recess-mounted flat onto a furniture or counter surface to create a receptacle for anything. I have a lot of old mortise lock drive rods for your consideration. These are hard to find 1/4 inch three piece with groove design. One end is fixed to the doorknob with a pin and the other would have used a set screw on the knob neck. I carefully rewmoved each pin with a punch to make sure they were reusable. Nice hard to find lot of original doorknob drive rods for that hard to find fit for repair. Replacement or vintage renovation. There are 4 in this lot. lot antique Victorian doorknobs vintage glass brass door knob handle hardware
I have a nice lot of 7 antique pressed glass door knobs for your consideration. Upon close inspection there are no cracks or chips. There is however a very very small flea bite along the outside edge of one of the knobs that you would not see unless you are looking for it. One of the knobs will need a dab of liquid cement since it does not seat properly in the brass collar if you will be reusing for its original intent. Nice reusable lot for possibly that hard to find match for your repair. Replace or vintage renovation. Fabulous lot for the collector or creative repurpose art mind. Would display well too. Made of bronze, the knobs feature a threefold design of palmettes encircling a rosette with a stylized flower on the interior side, and encircling the keyhole on the exterior side. The plates have an intricate design of volutes and bundled bellflowers bordering a simple oval band. Each roller is made of solid, heavy, thick, cast iron. If you are unfamiliar with this type of hardware. These are the wheels installed on the bottom of a pocket door to help it slide/roll on it's track. These are used in conjunction with track hardware and overhead rollers that the door hangs from. This is a Victor Mfg. sliding fire door that was salvaged from a textile manufacturing mill in North Carolina that was demolished. The measurements are 46" X 8'10"center of door) plus 10" for the pulleys. This door includes the pulleys which are attached. The rail(approx. 12' and 3 cast iron spacers that fit behind the rail to hold if off the wall( 2" The plate on the door has a date of 1935 on it. The mill it came from was built at the turn of the century. I can skid this and ship via UPS freight for a reasonable amount business to business or the closest UPS Freight terminal to you. This door is from a Victorian home built around the 1890's. It's a true beauty if you can over look the dust. The front has beautiful detailing around the thick beveled glass(no cracks/breaks) and 2 panels at the bottom of a carved flowers. It still has the original hardware. Look closely at the pictures to see how ornate they are. It has a pad lock that they carved into the detailing(see picture 3) The back of the door does have a black door knob.
