The old paint is wonderful and has the lovely soft PATINA that is so in demand. The color is a very light soft shade of moss green. The edges are lightly worn down. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from adjoining Pittsburgh Victorian home. It originally was at the top of the doorway between 2 rooms. It is made of oak and is painted. The sides of the corbels are carved. There is a nice finial in the middle. It measures 46 inches tall by 16 tall not including the top board. The body is 3 thick not including the molding. Overall. It is in very decent co ndition. There are misc. light scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. One foot is broken off and has some loss. Set of 2 Two Vintage Antique Architectural Gold Paint Plaster Corbels Brackets !
Hi: For your consideration here is a nice set of two(2) vintage or antique sconces or brackets! These medium to large size pieces measure a bit over 8 1/4" from the top of the shelf to the bottom tip. And the surface area of the shelf top is about 9 3/8" wide by 4 1/2" deep which is the maximum depth they would stick out from a wall when mounted. The pieces weigh close to two pounds each unpacked. They are made of what appears to be white plaster or a similar material and the gold finish looks similar to gilders paste/paint. There is a small wire rod in the plaster with a twisted piece of wire on the back of each for hanging. Both are in good condition with no major loss or cracks. Antique mid- 1800's Painted New England Corbels
This is the second pair of three that we have. For now. We are listing two pair, so take a look at our other listings. We stripped the third pair, leaving a white-washed appearance, and we have not decided whether to sell them. These large corbels are hand cut from a single piece of wood. They are 20 1/2" tall, almost 4" thick(slight variations) and 10 1/2" deep. Please keep in mind that it is likely lead paint. Some paint comes loose just handling them, keep away from children. If you are interested in a stable finish, it will require work. They were found in New York near the Connecticut and Mass. borders. The seller stated that birds had begun nesting in the circular openings, so(long ago) a square piece of tin was nailed over each opening and it was then re-painted to appear solid.

4 Antique Victorian Era Wood Corbels Farm House Shabby White Orig Square Nails We just got back from a wonderful vacation out to Wyoming and South Dakota. Stayed at a fabulous B&B in South Dakota- made even more heaven by the fact that they also had an antique store on the property. I shopped in several other locations in both states and brought home some great primitives. Advertising, pottery, and all in all interesting finds. Before I left, I went to a new farm auction, and an estate auction- so I have a BUNCH of new items this week- I’ll be posting every day, so be sure to check back! I love these wonderful corbels. There's so many things you can do with them- from using them on/in your house. To making them shelf brackets, to decorative accents. They are original late 1800s farmhouse corbels, and they are awesome. Made from solid ... morewood, it's a matching set of 4, all with layers and layers of old white paint- thick with it, and it's shabby worn, crackled and chipped of in many spots. I left the old square iron nails just as I found them- they are sticking out of the wood, so you have to be careful when you remove them. Each corbel measures 10 3/16" by 6 1/4" and the wood is a solid 1 3/4" thick. Each one weighs a little over 1 lb. All are in excellent solid and sturdy condition except one, that is missing the very tip of the end of its short side- see photo 12 where I'm showing you the chipped one on the right and a non-chipped one on the left. It's missing the very curly up piece on the top- it's shallow, so it's really hard to notice. When you look at the photos of all 4 corbels together- it's always the one on the far right- see how hard it is to notice? I'm sorry for the foggy pictures- it's so steamy here right now, my camer lens keeps fogging up! Please supersize and look at all- they are rustic in appearance due to their shabby chipp[y paint, and they all need a good cleaning- some have spots of a grey substance that feels like plaster to me- see

Antique Matching Set of 4 Architectural Salvaged Corbels with Original Paint
Here is a matching set of four salvalged antique scroll type design corbels with the remnants of the original paint. The corbels measure 24" high. 5" wide, and 19" deep(however the ones with the attached trim measure closer to 22" deep) I have tried to show as much as I can with the 12 pictures available, but have taken additional photos(5 of each corbel showing each side, the top, back, and bottom) There are some pieces missing here and there on the corbels, I guess to be expected when they are this old. I will likely ship two to a box(20 X 20 X 25) and each corbel weighs about 17 lbs. So, please double the shipping charges shown- I will send a final invoice for total payment due. Antique Pair of Eastlake Victorian Wooden Corbels
These are a nice pair of vintage corbels that were originally installed alongside turned victorian porch posts. As you will notice when viewing the photos. They are not in perfect condition, but still have that charming, vintage look about them that makes them worth using for whatever purpose you may have in mind.
