Made of five blocks of wood measuring 6" wide. They are very solid with chippy white paint as expected for their age. The chippy paint adds to their charm and appeal! These epic. Architectural salvage corbels with drop finals were original to a gorgeous house on South Main St. in New Milford, CT, and were given to me by the owner about 20 years ago. They are in awesome shape; clean, no rot, solid, dry, only a few layers of original distressed white paint, so details of carving are well highlighted. Corbels measure approx. 15"x15"x4" and are about 22+" on the diagonal. I used them for a number of years as brackets supporting a large. Heavy rectangular piece of glass, which made for a unique vanity/shelf over a fab silver radiator. This is a stunning set of solid silver-toned bronze industrial wall mount shelf brackets. they are made from thick heavy bronze. Are heavy pieces, and have great industrial look. they mount flush to the wall and have grooves to hold a flat surface. it can hold a piece as long as desired but would have to fit the width of the bracket. any material can be used and cut to size…glass. These are a pair of antique corbels. They have old yellow paint. I love the design of a flower on the sides, I measured the corbels as they look in the picture, 13 1/2" high, 4 3/4 across front and 8" deep, the wood is not in the greatest shape with some of the wood missing and loose in one picture you can see the wood is loose and needs to be nailed. This listing features a pair of antique gild wall sconces. Or brackets. These sconces measure 7.5 long x 6 1/2 wide, x 3 3/4 inches deep. They are in beautiful condition- the gilding was applied over a red rub, and is still in beautiful condition, given their age. These sconces have not been spray painted, as some of the other's I've seen. They are made of solid wood, not plastic, and hand carved. They bear the usual marks of sconces of this age. There is one small nail, as shown in photo number three, and it was placed there by the maker. I have never removed it. Please email any questions you may have as they will be answered each evening. ITEM: Ornate pair of Victorian architectural corbels or brackets with fancy roping. Pointed Gothic finials, carved decorations, original chippy paint and diamond rosettes on the top and bottom. Both are made of solid wood which appears to be oak and other mixed hardwoods. This pair was originally part of a Central Ohio farm house which was recently torn down. They are well made and have tons of character. They are perfect for making a shelf or mantle. WHEN MADE: Late 1800s SIZE: Approximately 13 1/2" tall x 12" deep x 3" across or thick CONDITION: Both are solid. Heavy and well made with no rot or soft spots. These are a pair of antique corbels that have been sitting in a closet for over 40 years. Looking at the non-stained bottom edge. Each appears to be made of"three" blocks of solid wood each corbel measures approx. 12" L x 4" W x 6" D overall Perfect for bookends or to use as brackets for a shelf! Due to their age. There will be some built in imperfections and castings can vary a little due to being hand cast-grinding-etc. If painted they were Hand painted so color can vary a little from picture and each other but will be close. You can spray paint any of my iron if you want to change color. If using in a wet location you may want to seal hardware with clear spray sealer so iron does not rust. If the item is unfinished that means there is no paint and no finish or sealer on the iron.
