It's in super condition for its age and really is lovely. It has been polished which gives a lovely deep honey golden sheen and if required would polish and clean further. The turned wooden hooks which almost look like bonnets or mushrooms each have two bands of a deep brown to add extra detailing which in parts have faded slightly due to the passage of time and use. These of course have all been turned by hand. The back plate made to look like bamboo is again in great condition for its age. There appears to be a slight split in the wood, this doesn't go through and runs along the grain of the wood, this is of course reflected in the price and doesn't effect the use of it in anyway, it is on the underside and difficult to spot when hanging or even photographed. The hanging rack is a deep honey brown. The two original hanging brackets are still in place. A delightful vintage piece. Still good and strong and in great condition, I've got one in the bathroom but it would look great in the kitchen or hallway for where it was first intended. This listing is for an authentic vintage antique wall mounted hat and coat rack. This features an oak wood back board. With finished edge on bottom and two ends. It has six cast iron hooks. Hooks are about 5-1/2" in total height. Board measures 3-1/2" x 38" It has two mounting screws at top, which appear to be original. Hooks mount to the oak backing board through a slotted hole system in board, and an overhang at back of hook at top. Back tab on hook was inserted in hole and then driven down to lock in place. ANTIQUE STICKLEY ERA STAMP SIGNED HAT COAT TREE MISSION STYLE MAPLE BRASS HOOKS
This is an antique'signed" maple hat/coat rack tree. It is approx. 71" tall. The hooks are brass. It is stamped under the bottom of the base 4 times with an embossed stamp. It looks like a circle with an upside down V and the letters TPI or FPI. I don't know whose signature it is or who the maker is. The top of the tree is tapered. One of the feet on the bottom looks as though it got wet at one time. It is a very nice piece.
