This is a magnificent Beaux Arts style chandelier circa mid-century. It is very heavy and made from solid brass. It measures 32" in overall length and 22" in maximum diameter. This beautiful old chandelier was purchased in a Long Island. NY antique shop in the 1960s. I was told at the time that it was made in France in the'30s or'40s, although I can't find any identifying markings. The piece appears to be made of heavy brass or bronze that has a great, slightly matte finish with a rich glowing patina. Great size. Measuring approximately 36" W × 36" D × 30ʺH. It has six ornate. Graceful arms that extend about 12" from the body, ending at the original etched glass light globes. Could be used without the globes(as shown in photos) if you prefer. Scalloped fleur de lis design wraps around the bottom of the center unit. Whose mounting post attaches to a heavy ceiling chain or directly to the ceiling cap. The cap is not original to chandelier. The globe is hand painted opaque glass and is 6 inches at the top opening and 13 7/8 inches at the bottom opening. The chandelier is 27 inches long from the hanger at the top to the dangling end of the crystals. This is a hurricane kerosene lamp which has been converted to electric. The metal is brass with intricate filigree accentuating the beautiful hand painted globe. The lamp can be adjusted by at least 10 inches in height by a hidden pulley system built into the top. This is a beautiful Set of Antique Girandoles having a three arm candelabra in the center and two large figural Candlesticks at each side. The set has a man and woman in Grecian dress holding up a child or cherub on their shoulders. Both the side pieces and the center piece have the matching figural. The tops are candle holders with long crystal prisms hanging all around the skirts. The pieces are not marked as is true with most 19th Century Girandoles. Each piece has a lovely piece of white marble bolted to the bottoms. The side candle stands are 12" tall. The center three arm candelabra is 18" tall by 16 3/4" wide. The finish on the set of three is worn. And the set needs a good polishing or cleaning. However the gilded finish is still very nice and adds to the character of the set. The prisms are all in good condition with ... morejust a few flea bite chips. They are beveled edge and etched with lovely little stars. The marble is good on each of the three pieces. It is a little stained and needs cleans. There are no breaks or cracks. Each marble base measures 6" wide by 4" deep. This is a tall set and with candles will be even more striking for a presentation on a fireplace, sideboard or table. The welds on the top candle surrounds are lose, but it would appear they help to dangle the crystals in a"midway swing" We are selling the set in as found condition. Vintage Mid Century Green Electric Plug In Hanging Lamp w/ Amber Colored Glass Globes and Glass Prisms. This Lamp or Light works great and would be an asset to anyone's vintage home decor. Please look at all pictures and read item description. Here is what to expect as far as condition and is what was written above: Vtg Used Condition. Might need more cleaning. It has been cleaned lightly for pictures but might need a little more. It is missing one of its original nuts on top. We have replaced it with another one as seen in pictures. The prisms could stand to be rewired and attached to the lamp. The wire has gotten old that holds them onto the lamp and sometimes they break off due to the brittle metal wire. So rewiring the prisms is a must eventually. It isn't missing any of its prisms. You might see some minor scratches to the paint ... morebut none that is just awful or takes away from the lamp. The goldtone chain might have some fading to the plating but really looks good for its age. I don't see any rust on the chain at all. Raised ribbed patterns around the sides, and rough cut top and bottom rims. They measure approximately 3" tall. By approximately 6" across at their widest center points. The top openings measure 5" across to the outer edges, and the small bottom fitter ends measure approximately 1 3/4" across to the outer edges. Both are in very good condition. And have no chips or cracks overall. There is minor roughness with some small chiggers to the rims which is typical on rough cut shades. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique, brass chandelier. This is a STUNNING fixture dating to around 1915. The chandelier features a deep brass bowl/pan with embossed, dimensional drapery swag pattern. The chandelier has 4, very long brass arms which hang from the bowl. The arms have a disc shaped center point feature for added interest. Each arm leads to a bell shaped socket. The sockets house old(possibly original) glass shades. The shades have a beaded glass texture and are a very pale root beer color. They are not marked but they do have Holophane characteristics. This is a fabulous fixture. The fixture was just removed from the previous owner's home. It is in good, working condition with vintage wiring. The fixture was flushed mounted to their ceiling, but, if you have very tall ceilings, you could add 4 strands of chain ... morefor a very large pan chandelier. The chandelier does not include a ceiling mount bracket but these are readily available at home improvement stores. The brass is in good condition with some very minor"age spots" and patina. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL chandelier. This is an incredible 6 arm. 8 light fixture with original sockets, paddle switches and inverted dome glass. The frame is HEAVY and made of cast bronze. It is embossed with detailed, trailing vines, flowers and shells. The embossed designs are gilded while the background has a darker patina. The frame is finely designed and constructed. There are thick, original welds inside the bobeches and on the top side of the ceiling mount. There are no manufacturers marks on the frame but there is a hand engraved"mystery" hallmark(see photo 12) The sockets are 250w and are stamped with the patent date of June 13, 1899. The original paddle switches are present on the two sockets inside the glass bowl. They are marked"Perkins" Perkins made this type of switch in the 1890s. The chandelier ... moreis a pan design. There are 6 hanging arms. The frame houses an inverted dome or glass bowl shade. The shade is etched white Calcite glass in the manner of Carder or Steuben. The glass is thick. It is etched in a beautiful drapery swag pattern. It is held in place with a long set screw and secured with a bronze finial. The glass is not marked, but probably did, originally, have a mark on the inner rim. According to the Corning museum, Steuben typically marked chandelier glass on the rim and it usually disappeared due to surface wear. It is no doubt calcite. This is a GORGEOUS chandelier. The chandelier has 8" of chain which means that the fixture is"semi" flush mount. There is 8" between the ceiling and the chandelier. There is no ceiling bracket but that is an easy and inexpensive replacement. The chandelier is in very good antique condition. The bronze is superb. The glass has appropriate wear for its age. There are some minor surface scratches but nothing severe or distracting. There is wear around the fitter areas both at the rim and at the finial opening. Again. Nothing that compromises the glass. WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY. Stunning porcelain and tole bird cage style Italian chandelier with macaroni beads all over. I have never seen this chandelier ever in my life. I assure you to find another one will not be easy. Its got great porcelain pieces all over it and stunning roses and most of them are in great condition with only minor flea bites. Its just incredible, the detail, the shape, the macaroni beads, its a Shabby chic girls dream come true. hahaha! Two of the porcelain pieces do have cracks(I show in photos) that were glued but no porcelain is missing. They were clean breaks. Also one prism doesn't match its a different shape, only saw this after serious inspection and could easily be switched out with one to match. Comes with ceiling canopy and the 3 hanging lights inside do work as you can see in photos, but all old wiring should ... morebe checked by a professional. Also I just noticed that the bottom porcelain piece where the ball hangs from, is missing some porcelain, will add photo, its one corner of it is knicked off. Its just sooooo cool. The shade measures about 16 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The glass body is magnificant. WOW! The ceiling canopy is original with its aged petina. The socket housing is vintage but has been repainted. There are three new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs along with all new wiring. Antique Vintage Deco Brass 5 Light Hanging Lamp Chandelier w/Frosted Globes EXC
Here is a beautiful antique hanging light fixture I just removed from an old house. It was still hooked up and being used. It works fine. It has 4 smaller lights with globes, each one has it's own switch. The larger globe has one bulb inside. This fixture has the old cloth covered wires which are still soft and flexible, with no cracks or frays. There are no cracks in the globes, but one of the all white ones does have a small nick in the side. As you can see there are 2 globes that match the large center globe, and 2 with frosted glass and colored flower designs. They fit and do look good, but are not original. There is some paint spatter here and there from over the years, and there is a dark patina on the brass, it actually has a copper look to it. The only damage is to the thin cover just below the chain eye. It is just superficial ... moreand just cosmetic. This is a nice one, ready to hang as is, or clean and polish. It measures approx 21" across the top from the outside of 2 diagonal lights, and hangs approx 28" from the ceiling to the bottom of the globe. I ship once or twice a week, not everyday.
