Hello. This is one of the most unique items I have ever gotten in cast iron. Now, I have tried and tried to find a set simular and have not been successful. The Legs are adjustable in the width. The unit is 33" wide and 14' Tall with a Depth of 11" The name on this item is W. A. TIDWELL. The date on this is JAN. 1ST. 1926. There are two set's of numbers having one set on each end. The left side from face front view is( T. AUG. 12 1) The right side from face front view is( NO. 1070162) The front side* IS* the side with the name. All the letters are forged seperatly making text uneven. This thing is just wayyyyy cool. If I had a house with a fireplace, it would not be for sale. 2 ANTIQUE ANDIRONS Here is an interesting pair of andirons. They appear to be brass. At least the center posts do as you can see the brass under the patena and rust. The bottom leg area is showing some silver metal, too heavy and thick for aluminum, I would think. They are heavy, each weighing 11 pounds. They are rusty and may have been painted at some point. Within the patina are colors of red/pink, browns, gold and silver. The metal is thick. The back braces are cool looking. They measure 19.75" in height and 10" front to back. The back of each upright is marked A1 and a symbol I can't make out. The back bars/braces are marked D4. I would say these are very old. From the 1800's although they could be from 1900's. Here is an absolutely amazing pair of Tall Baroque19th Century Chased Brass Andirons The bottom of the Andirons are of the Coat of Arms of the City of Amsterdam which consists of a shield and a band running vertically down the center of the shield. With on that field three Saint Andrew’s Crosses. Above the shield is the Imperial Crown of Austria and two golden lions flank the shield. The top of the andirons have wonderful balustrades and urn shapes. These are wonderfully intricate impressive pieces. I have not cleaned the andirons if you wish me to do so I would be happy to. But I am waiting for the new owner to let me know. They have a very interesting provenance. They were owned by a Baron who purchased antiques all over Europe for his Estate in Mexico. He was found murdered and his lover was put in jail for the crime for a couple of years ... moreuntil he was found not guilty. Up for action is a r are pair of American Art Deco Egyptian Revival cast iron figural Flapper Girl fireplace andirons. The dimensions are 23" tall. 9 1/2" across the bottom and 13 1/2" deep. They are m ade by the Universal Electric Log Co. Chicago circa 1920-30s. Incredible sculptural details and eclectic Art Deco design elements. The andirons are in great condition with 99% of original paint finish; top side of the billets have some rust but looks like they have never been used in a fireplace. OMG! This is 2die4! This spectacular antique French set for chimney is complete with a pair of Victorain bronze andirons. It includes a beautifully worked separate fender front part in the neo-classical Louis 16th's(and Marie-Antoinette) style, ca. mid to late years 1800, all flowing and elegant. They features urns embellished with scrolls. Shells, detailed classical designs and typically French"fleur-de-lys" All pieces of the set are perfectly matching and carry the foundry number 53 on back side They show very little usage wear and cleaning signs. And some screws/nuts that ahve been replaced over the yeas. PRESENTED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION A Rare Pair of Antique 19th Century Albert George Stevens 24 kt Gold/Gilded Bronze Lion Sculpture Andirons. This beautiful pair of bronze lion andirons were sculpted and created by Albert George Stevens(1817-1875) He created the lion sejant model in 1852. They were cast in iron. 25 lions sat on the dwarf posts by the entrance& railings outside the British Museum, London. They were removed in 1895, some were later placed on the railings around the Wellington monument in St Paul's Cathedral, London, some put into storage, one resides in the Natural History Museum. From 1896 onwards, the Covent Garden firm of Messrs D. Brucciani& Co. made bronze casts of Stevens lions, which were sold for 7s. 6d. each. Other variants were produced in earthenware by the Manchester firm of Pilkington's Tile and ... morePottery Company between 1899-1900, and by Carter& Co. of Poole, Dorset, during the early 1900s. A plaster bronzed cast was given to the Tate 1912, now resides in the Victoria& Albert Museum. In 1896 Messrs D. Brucciani& Co were permitted by the trustees of the British Museum to take casts. As a result cast iron reproductions can be seen on the Law Society building and Ely House(now Malletts) in London, and the City Museum Leicester and they were popular as staircase and fireplace ornaments. Up for auction: a really unique pair of antique fireplace andirons. These andirons literally came from an old abandoned cabin here in Central North Carolina. Not far from the Virginia border. The cabin was from about the turn of the Century(1900's) to the 1920's with these andirons in them. Keyhole style, they apparently were used quite a bit as the back portion was rusted through and crumbled. The remainder of the andirons appears to be fairly solid and in great shape. Surface rust, while heavy, can be removed, however, I've left this pair as I found them for the new owners to decide if they want them as they are or cleaner. These antique andirons each measure 19 1/2" in height and 16" in depth overall; total weight is about 60 lbs. The uprights are full form castings and feature a stylized female figure at the top. The general characters of these andirons date to the early 18th century with some elements. Such as the shape and height of the heavy log billets, dating to the 17th century. Please see the pictures for more details. The cast iron has some pitting and a bit of scaling; there are no breaks. Cracks or evidence of repair.

These are likley individually cast in a shop and are signed"3 W. B. on the side of the log rests. Likely mid-1800s or earlier. About 11" tall and extend 14" back. Top of log rail is 3" high.
