I have seen these listed as being from the 1950's, but these came out of a house that was built in the late 60s / early 70s. About 20 of the outlet covers are really clean - just having some stray paint on a handful. The other seven have a little more discoloration / spots on them. One of the switch covers is in good shape, but the others are stained / discolored. I have not tried to clean any of them, so don't know if, or how well, they will clean up. Vintage Uniline 4-gang wall plate, ivory, for light switches, NOS
One vintage. New old stock, Uniline four gang wall plate, for standard toggle switches. This plate was made by Bryant, probably sometime in the fifties, and is in the classic Uniline ribbed style. It's still in the original paper wrapper, and has the original screws to go with it. Larger wall plates in this style are quite hard to find, as it was uncommon for there to be more than two devices at any location, particularly in houses but also in commercial buildings. Four gang plates are even harder to come by, unused ones rarer still! This plate is in perfect condition, with no chips, cracks, or scratches, and is a lovely creamy ivory color. This would be a great finishing touch to a mid century home restoration, or a retro-styled office or store(although I think Uniline plates just look neat anywhere!

Vintage new old stock Uniline 2-gang wall plates. For standard duplex receptacles. These plates were made by Pass& Seymour, probably in the sixties, and are unused in the original packaging. The classic ribbed Uniline style was current from the early fifties up through the sixties, and remains a popular piece for mid-century home restorations. Although a popular piece at the time, larger plates are rarer because it was less common for there to be more than one device at a given location, particularly in residential buildings. These would make a great finishing touch to a mid-century home restoration, or a cool detail for a retro-themed office or store. Heck, I think they look neat anywhere! Vintage. Uniline single gang wall plates, for standard toggle switches. They have never been used and are in fine shape, with a beautiful creamy ivory color. They're pretty neat, and would make a great finishing touch to your mid-century home restoration, or just a cool detail anywhere! These wall plates are new old stock. And probably date from the later 50's or early 60's. They're made by several different manufacturers-the photo shows one by Hubbell, but I have some by H&H, Arrow-Hart, and Pass& Seymour as well. Vintage P&S Uniline wall plate, 4 gang, for switches, brown, NOS
A vintage. New old stock Pass& Seymour#91074 wall plate. This is to the earlier Uniline style, which is more of an Art-Deco style, and features narrow vertical ribs and an interesting border around the beveled outer edges. These earlier plates are pretty rare to begin with, even more so in such a large size-there were usually only one or two devices at any given location, so something this size would have been in a store, office, or other business. Perfect period accent if you're upgrading your vintage home! This plate fits standard four-gang wall boxes and works with any standard toggle switch. The color is a rich chocolatey brown color, with no chips, scratches, or discoloration. The original cardboard sleeve is still there, but it's got a tear in it, some staining, and is generally kind of tatty, although it would probably ... morestill display nicely. A 3-gang wall plate in the classic Uniline style. Made by Arrow-Hart. Larger plates in this style are harder to come by, since it was rarer to have more than one or two devices at any location-this one's for three standard light switches. As best as I can tell it's unused, but it does have some light scuffs from being stored without a wrapper for such a long time. The color is still a rich chocolatey brown color. Vintage NOS Uniline single gang wall plates, for switches, brown
These are vintage Uniline wall plates. In a single gang size for standard toggle light switches. Uniline plates were manufactured from the fifties through the sixties or early seventies(I'm not sure, offhand) and feature the classic ribbed pattern. These plates are new old stock-some are still in the original wrappers but most have gotten brittle and fallen apart* However, the plates themselves are still in fine shape, with a lovely rich chocolatey brown color and no discoloration or damage. Some of them have lost the screws, but they take standard wall plate screws, which are available at any hardware store. These would make the perfect finishing touch to a mid century home remodel, retro themed store or office, or just an interesting detail anywhere! Vintage new old stock Uniline wall plates for telephone cable. These were made by Arrow-Hart sometime in the fifties or early sixties. To the classic Uniline pattern. They were originally meant for telephone jacks, but I have seen them used for things like coaxial cable and doorbell buttons. In fact, I think these look great with a plain lighted button in the middle! Though the plastic wrappers have long since disappeared, these plates are still in great shape with no scratches, cracks, or chips, and the color is still a rich chocolate brown color. Vintage early Uniline 2G wall plates, brown, for 4 Despard devices
Vintage early Uniline wall plates. Two gang size, for four Despard interchangeable devices. These plates are to the early, Art Deco influenced Uniline pattern, and feature narrow vertical ribs with a border running around the beveled edge. I'm not sure who manufactured them-Uniline plates were made by a number of manufacturers to an identical pattern, and these examples don't have a maker's mark on the reverse side. These are new old stock, unused, but the packaging is long gone on most of them. Some have a few minor scratches from storage, but no major cracks or chips, and the color remains a rich chocolate brown color. The perfect finishing touch for a vintage home restoration!

This vintage Bryant wall plate has the vertical ribbing typical to the Uniline style in ivory and can be used for cable. Coax TV or antenna outlets. It is a standard 2 3/4" wide x 4 1/2" long and is in excellent condition. It has a 1/2" hole in the center with 2 3/8" center to center mounting screw holes and is usually used with an adaptor bracket to mount it to the outlet box.
