You can also see that the bands are accented with sculpted“pinches” where the bands meet the bezel, a nice little flourish uncommon for the rings of the era. The ring is a wonderful. A beautiful ancient Roman bronze figure of the god of love. Cupid cradling a goose, dating to approximately 200 A.D. The exquisitely modeled bronze depicting the upper part of the winged youth. Shown leaning forwards as if in flight. He clutches a goose to his chest with both hands, the creature's head rising to touch his chin. Cupid's spread wings are carefully incised, his hair is well rendered, the curly locks falling to the side. The silvered eyes stare out of the piece, creating a wonderful aesthetic. An incredible. Graceful composition. The back of the piece is curved.
