2 Vintage 1972 Kitchen Switch Plate Covers, American Tack & Hardware, Bakelite?
800x600 1972 Switch Plates. American Tack and Hardware Co. These vintage plates have been in my home since I bought them in 1972 or 1973. They are in good condition; I would say very good but there is a small crack on the back of one of them. It is on the left in the second pic; the crack does NOT go through to the front side. I think these plates may be Bakelite; they are VERY sturdy and high quality. These would be a GREAT addition to your retro room or kitchen. or a unique addition to your Bakelite or switch plate collection! Set of 7 Vintage Light-Switch & Outlet Covers, American Tack & Hdwe Co. Inc.1967
This Set of 7 Vintage Light-Switch& Outlet Covers was made by American Tack& Hardware Co. Inc. in 1967. The set consists of 5 light-switch plates and 2 electrical outlet plates. They measure 4 3/4" high by 3 1/2" wide and feature gold-tone colored metal with a lovely rose pattern. At 47 years old. They are in excellent condition but there is a little bit of corrosion on the back of one of them. Also, one of the switch plates has a little less gold-tone and is a little more silver-toned. Please see last two photographs for flaws. This is a terrific set with a very nice retro look. They would be nice in any home or would be terrific for a restoration project. VINTAGE ELEC DBL Face Light Switch Cover Metal Enamel,American Tack + Wall Plate
Here is a double light switch plate with flowers going around it was enamel painted but some of the paint is worn. It does need some cleaning, on the back it has American Tack& HDWE 1968. It measures about 5 x 5. Then I have a metal wall plate cover. It has flowers going all around it, this one is just plain it does not have enamel paint on it, it measures about 5 x 3 1/2 and has on the back of it the American Tack& HDWE Co 1967. In the photo of the big one it kind looks like it has bad spots on it. Like in the top middle and the left hand side of the main plate but it is a little bit shinier there in them spots so it just made them look like bad spots to me. PAYMENT* Payment is due 3 days from invoice from EBAY. On BIN. Payment is due immediately. The face of the switch plate where the flowers are is recessed and textured. The raised edge has scroll work along the edge. Some of the gold paint on the scroll work has worn off. There is one small yellow spot on the face of the plate, otherwise it is in good, used, vintage condition. No hardware is included.
