This is for an unusual round electrical outlet with a built in cover. It is made of brown bakelite. It does not have any cracks or breaks just a few surface scratches as shown in the photos. It was made in the USA and is rated at 125V. All four original screws are still attached. They all four turn easily.

4(four) Antique Electrical Wall Outlet Receptacles With Covers Gaynor Mfg. Established in 1886 These 4 antique receptacles come with covers that feature an unusual looking surface coloring. I cant say for certain what the covers are made from but a magnet does not stick to them. And also I did a scratch test on the back of one of them, and found a bright silver colored metal below all that black surface coloring. Anyhow. The covers are in good condition as far as no bends, splits etc to the metal. They do however show wear due to age and use such as surface scratches. The receptacles themselves are in decent shape too. With the exception to one of them having a small crack where in the area where a plug goes into. They are marked Gaynor Mfg. Establish. 1886. Bridgeport Conn. along with flush receptacles for tandem and parallel Plugs. Cover ... moremeasure- approx. 4 aand 1/2 by 2 and 3/4 inches. Receptacle measures approx. 5/8 inch deep by 2 and 1/2 long by 1 and 3/8 inches wide.

For auction are a total of 8 antique/vintage brass electrical outlet covers. 5 are the scrolled pattern that cover one light switch and one is a plain single light switch. There is also one dual light switch cover and a single electrical plug(top/botom) outlet cover. These are really pretty. Selling for my sister who is cleaning stuff out. There is a number on the inside of the light switch covers that I think reads A629600 and A617900(on the plain one) These are really cool.
