Vintage 1970 Arctic Char Mount by Taxidermist Ken Hawkins You are bidding a 1970 Arctic Char Mount. This mount is in great condition. And has museum quality. This is a type of mount that you might find in a Bass Pro Shop or Sporting Goods store. The mount measures 26 inches long and 10 1/2 inches in height. Offered for sale is a beautiful 18 tile mural hand painted and Made in Italy. It measures 4 ft x 2 ft. I bought it 20 years ago when we were building our Italian style home and traveling in Italy for Italian majolica for architectural features. This one did not find a spot and I finally realized that I need to part with the beauty! This mural depicts the Temple of Vesta in the Forum in Rome. It is signed by the artist on the right bottom corner-Tan Correale Italy. The back of each of the almost 7 7/8" tiles is marked DASS Made in Italy. Each tile is numbered on the back for brainless assembly. I searched eBay and the internet for similar murals-hard to find. The tile mural shopper needs to realize the difference in a hand painted tile and a printed tile-big difference-similar to the difference between an oil painting and a print. 1880's Reverse-Painted Glass Fish on Wall Plaque-Atterbury Glass Co., Pittsburg
This is a unique and very rare piece of decorative art from the late 19th Century. These reverse-painted pressed-glass fish were probably originally fastened to a varnished wooden panel. I have seen photos of a pair that were on oval panels. Also one in the Corning Glass Museum that is framed like this piece. They were produced from their patent date in 1872 probably through the 1880’s by the Atterbury Glass Co. factory in Pittsburgh, PA. This company was famous for its production of pressed milk glass, among other things. I have seen photos of a milk glass dish that apparently used the same mold as these painted fish. This piece is in good used condition, considering its age. The glass fish measure approx. 11“ long and about 4 1/2” wide, and are about an inch thick at the fattest place. The glass is in good condition, with one crack to be ... moreseen radiating up about 1 1/2” from the steel screw that holds the piece to the background at the tail end. There are no missing pieces or chips, and no other damage to the fish; The painting on the reverse is in excellent condition, still with bright colors and no peeling or fading. The paint is more metallic than shown in the photos. I have read that these carry an impressed patent mark on the underside. The background is a softwood board panel covered with slightly faded dark green velvet. It is set in an oak frame with a painted black raised detail. The frame measures 11 1/2“ by 19 1/2” On the back side are two old screw eyes and picture wire for hanging vertically. Chalked on the wood are the words“TOP BLUE”I know, it didn’t mean anything to me either! I do not believe this is the original backing or frame. They look more like something from the 1920’s or 30’s. No doubt someone refurbished this piece. This is a stunning piece, very much a part of the fish and game culture of the late 19th century. Nostalgia! Antique Folk Country Painted Horse Stable Wall Divider Equestrian Barn
This is a very unusual piece in the form of a stable wall divider that was folk painted on both sides of the top rail. The wall is two wooden boards painted red with black fancy painting on the top board. The boards are holding up iron rods that serve as the divider. This came out of Virginia and the age is difficult to tell but the iron has a wonderful old patina. The wood is original but cannot determine when the painting was done. Best guess sometime in the early to mid 20th century. We have built a stand to hold the wall for display and it is 120 5/8" long 51 3/4" tall on the stand it is 56 3/8" tall. There is one iron rod missing. What a fantastic room divider or even mounted on a wall. Fantastic piece of Americana. The item is available to view at Ivy Hall Antiques Abbottstown. PA. This is an unusual brass wall hook that is painted brown. It looks to me like children sailing on a ship(but I could be wrong) The hook part is a figure of a man in robes and with a staff in his hand. I can't find any markings on it. It is 4-3/4" long and 2-1/4" wide. It is in nice shape. A little bit of paint has worn off. I also added some computer enhanced photos which show a little more detail but they do change the color of the hook.

Has a socket that take regular size bulbs. The on/off switch turns easily. It's in very good condition considering it's age. No chips. Cracks or breaks that I can see. TELECHRON IH912 OLD SCHOOL WALL CLOCK This wonderful old vintage school or factory wall clock measures 14.5 inches across. The face masures approximately 12 inches. The outer rim of it is beige colored. The inner face is white/yellow under its original glass case. This item is in fantastic shape considering age. The cord looks like it must have been replaced at some point. But was probably unsafe in its original design as some of the original wires are still there and are metal covered with cloth. On the back there is a metal plate with many details[in tiny imprint] of care/ voltage/ cycles, etc. Please be sure to view all pictures carefully.
