Whilst grasping a spear with one hand and holding her trusty Owl in the other. Her round Spartan shield rests up against her back legs. The carnelian gemstone intaglio is quite small, so the details have been cut with suggestive lines. Such a ring would have been worn by an officer or centurion serving within the Roman Legions.
