Maps this early and showing this much forestry detail are very scarce. The map has fantastic coloring to it. The various shades of green represent the areas containing the different tree species. The map is generally in Fair- condition. There is wear and browning. Particuarly on the left hand side. There are some creases and tears around the edges of the paper and there are some heavier rips along the bottom border of the map- some heavier staining along the border- the left hand side is heavily stained and the bottom edge is heavily stained and torn. There are some"water stains" along the right edge. There is one tear on the bottom left hand corner. Near the Legend, that does extend into the map.
