Recently purchased at a local estate sale. This item is a Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary brooch(or lapel pin) that is composed of silver-toned metal and rhinestones. It is a pin-back design with a locking catch mechanism. This very attractive brooch has a very three-dimensional design consisting of silver-toned metal and two colors of rhinestones. The eagle has clear rhinestones on its right wing and the right side of its neck. With red rhinestones as eyes. There also is a line of clear rhinestones under the black lettering LADIES F. O. E. AUXILIARY. This item measures approximately 1-5/8 x 1-1/16" and is of an unknown metal composition. There is no manufacturer's or other mark on the pin. The brooch is in very good condition with no apparent damage or wear. There are two missing stones. But this is not apparent unless ... moremagnification is used(and is not very evident even at 10 X magnification! The pin and locking catch mechanism work very well. I'm pleased to offer this unique vintage ring which I judge to be either from the Art Deco era or perhaps a bit later from the Retro era. The ring is tested as silver and although there is a marked"7" on the band. I do not have any idea what that indicates. While the red stones give the look of rubies, I don't believe they are and I'm aware of how widely used red glass was in other Retro items. Many of which also contained genuine diamonds and often rose gold. There are two small glass stones set in the middle of the architectural design. Antique Victorian White & Ruby Red Paste Stones Rose Gold Filled Ring SZ 5
MORE PICTURES BELOW DESCRIPTON! On Jan 5th. 2013: My beautiful 5 year old girl was diagnosed with Leukemia. I am digging into my own little treasure boxes to help out with over a month's worth of missed income, and many months to come ahead. I would not ordinarily be ready to part with some of the forth-coming goodies I have to offer; they have been carefully collected by me, and will be helping our family out in such a traumatic and trying time. Regular description just below. This ring is Victorian. And is one of 2 similar that I have listed. This one is by far nicer than the green one(matter of opinion probably! and is more rose gold in hue. The white paste has some nibbles and a chip that I only noticed after viewing the photos I took. Other than that, it is in excellent antique condition! It is a small size, at a size 5.weighs 1.1 ... moregram and is 3/8" wide at the top of the ring. The stones(not gemstones, but glass pastes) are each about 5mm in diameter. This ring still wears just beautifully! Not marked. All photos are taken close up to show detail and/or markings and may be larger than actual size. PLEASE pay attention to all listed dimensions as refunds aren't available for misconceptions! Close up shots tend to show any imperfections in greater detail than what is seen by the naked eye especially on gold items. I only accept Paypal as payment from overseas customers. Up for auction is one glorious sparkly patriotic USA flag lapel pin or brooch with prong set red. White and blue rhinestones by Rafaelian. This is a vintage pin found at an estate sale for a military family. All stones are intact, prong set. It measures just about 2 inches long by almost 1 1/4 inch wide at the widest part. The maker is WW Aksel Holmsen(the W's are inverted) Aksel Holmsen is known for enamel and sterling silver jewelry so this is an unusual piece. I tested the gold on my stone and it is 10K. I have no idea what the stones are. They are too soft to be genuine ruby(it is possible to scratch the stones with a small file(I tested the back of one of the stones) They appear to have tiny inclusions so I don't think they are glass. They are possibly died crystal. Each stone is a 14 x 20mm faceted oval. CONDITION: ... morethis bracelet is in great condition. There is one stone that has a surface scratch. The gold is antiqued in color. The clasp works perfectly and the stones are securely set.
