This fine ring was found at a Roman encampment site in Ancient Moesia but was probably lost centuries later at the time of the Crusades and dates from ca. 1100A.D. to 1500A.D. This ring features a nice Christian Shield design in the center of the bezel. Where the more common rings have a diamond surrounded by sets of lines in a diamond shape or a chevron. This example has a nice clear outline to the sides of ... morethe bezel with a central design composed of fine linear designs that were carved in such a way that they REALLY jump out at you. Equal length arms that almost look like little"CROWNS" These early anserated crosses always have all four arms of the same length and terminate in a wider object.
